Thank you. As a first time Etsy seller, I decided to set reasonable processing times. I chose the 3 - 5 days because im a busy mom.. but a buyer made a case against me. Her order was on the 21st, today we're the 23rd. So today i packaged her item and was just about to purchase my first label BUT couldn't. Found out i was banned by Etsy. I checked my mail and sure enough, the customer was extremely impatient and well, super unfair she made a case.. I was within my window of shipping it out.. so i made an appeal and will keep appealing. I did nothing wrong... it was my first sale too!! My son hugged me he was so proud, as was I ❤ Gotta keep going. Yes i cried lol
Great video, thank you! I think another major factor why a lot of businesses fail is that the sellers underprice their products/ realize too late that they do not make any profit and also that the sellers do not think of developing efficient systems that are necessary to make the business grow in a sustainable way.
Thank you for your content. It is really useful when you are a new seller on etsy. After 2 months running the store I feel low... when you think it's worth it or not to continue, and sometimes you just need to hear the right words at the right time.
The only variable that has direct impact to the success of either a digital shop or physical shop is the ability to execute it properly. Either product types can do well, just depends on your skill set and what works best for you!
Hi Brandon, I recently started following your channel and I like your content and it seems genuine. Can you share your experience where you get frustrated having no sales and don't understand what is missing? I give up when I don't get sales even though I work hard and don't understand if it's research or traffic that is lacking... that's when I loose confidence. Hoping you could share something that can put me back on track. Thanks in advance
Brandon, your vids are fantastic! thank you for putting your knowledge out there. Can I ask if you have a small team or person you recommend to create an Etsy store with digital products? They have to have a proven track record of building a store and exporting the files to Etsy. I’m not new to sales or digital products. I have had a few Shopify stores and currently have one with digital art. I also have a lot of original templates I’ve created (pro and free Canva acct templates). I know Shopify well (and love it) but would like to try Etsy as well. I really value your opinion and wish I had a business partner like you! Haha I guess a lot of people feel that way. Happy New Year, it’s going to be a great year😄
I have over 22 listings of art from 2 of myfriends who are artists. I think they are legitimately great stuff, I have painting available in framed posters and metal print posters, I ordered samples from Printful and they are very nice. I even used one as a christmas gift for my Aunt with out her knowing where it came from and commented on the quality. I put a lot of thought into SEO and descriptions, and it's been 4 months with ZERO sales. I am not sure what the issue is.
Good stuff, dude. Thank you so much for doing these. Your videos have really inspired me to start an Etsy shop. My heart is in design/art, but after doing the keyword research, I realize the printable wall art market is pretty oversaturated. Especially the type of art I want to do. So that's a little discouraging. I have some other digital design ideas with really good supply/demand numbers, so I may go in that direction. Just won't be quite as fun and fulfilling for me as the art stuff, haha.
Yea it's definitely a bit more saturated depending on the type of art you want to do. I think there are still a lot of other categories that are very creatively visual and fun to do, just takes a bit of digging to find them :) Best of luck with your Etsy journey!
I’ve been really enjoying your videos as I am currently working on some digital art to create my shop. Do you recommend doing a test print before putting it up? Would you do it for every single piece or just a few? Which sizes? Thank you!
thank you for watching! Test prints are always helpful to see the final result. Seeing it on screen is always different than in person. Once you test out a few different designs, it's ok to not do all of them in the future :)
Hello Brandon, I see some Etsy shops selling famous paintings from fine art artists. Could you make a video how to find these items to sell and what are some details to know about cc0. Thank you!
Thanks Brandon! Super helpful. When first opening an Etsy store, do you recommend keeping a niched down themed store and selling a variety of products aligned to that theme? OR, is it better to have a general Etsy store, and sell a broad scope of products within that store? For example, let's say based on my keyword research, I find that sunflower bracelets and mountain metal wall art are doing well and in demand. I'd like to sell both of those products on Etsy. Do I create an individual shop for each product and perhaps extend the sunflower or moutain/wall art theme into other things? Or can I list both my sunflower bracelet and metal wall art under one main shop? Do niched shops or broad shops perform better algorithm wise? Thank you, Bella
I started my Etsy shop in October and I'm having great sales, in January I will receive the Star Seller badge. But I struggle with optimizing my Etsy Ads. I spend way more money than I make with my sales. I would really like to have you as a mentor, how do I do that?:) Thank you so much for your videos!
I believe it's better to focus on one niche first - become an expert in this field, and once you find success in it, then slowly expand across to adjacent categories that still makes sense to your brand and story
Question, I'm creating digital products and have 1 listing as a bundle consisting of other listings. Should I keep the bundle and remove the other individual listings? Reason, there are too many listings and listing fees a lot.
I just came across your page and to me honest it seems like to be the best thing I found for myself , just today have improved even tho I’m struggling with some few things which I know I still need to study well but on the practical side I’m very optimistic that I’ll be profitable, but I wanna ask I’m from Nigeria , I hope I’ll be able to gain traffic regardless. And do they also ship to Nigeria , pls what are your other social media handles , thank you very much sir , God bless you 🙏
Hello, I’m seriously interested in creating an Etsy shop and leaving my 9-5. On your profile, i see that you are a coach, can you provide some information on your coaching services as well as the cost?
Hello, love your channel, i have a question. what is your recommendation if i am Méxican but i want to sell my digital art worldwide. I made my etsy store but i make the descriptions in spanish then english people will see the listing with an automatic translation, it is good? Do you have a video related to this ? Thanks
It's sometimes really hard to stay disciplined and motivated when you can't even achieve small successes after months of work. At the moment I'm losing money every month with my shop because I spend money on ads but hardly make any sales (Although I pay attention to everything: optimized SEO, Product Description, Good Product Photos, professional Shop Banner etc). But like you said: Giving up is not an option. I am 100% sure that I will manage to make my Etsy store my full time job, even if it is hard work and I am not successful at the moment.
Totally! Keep in mind, I've opened up 2-3 different Etsy shops in my early 20's before I was able to find success on there. You each a lot from each shop you build. It's all a part of the journey.
I really want to make 10,000 a month but do I need a team? I prefer to have that on my own website where I will sell private label products with the money I make from etsy.

Thanks a million! Very helpful. How much of the success of a shop depends on whether it is selling physical vs. digital products? 😄

Hi! can we create few brands and niches in 1 email or is it 1 email for 1 niche ?
1 email for 1 Etsy shop :)
What about your own pictures, when u use them in canva? They can edit that then right?
