A lot of people have asked me about choosing a drill, I put together a drill buying guide. Email me and I'll send it to you. This is the link to the drill bits on my website electrojewelerjordan.com/shop/tools/flex-shaft-tools/gem-drilling-set-diamond-point-as-seen-in-youtube-30-pcs-assorted-2-3mm-3-32-shaft/and this one is from my etsy shop www.etsy.com/listing/1164491370/stone-drilling-delux-set-28-pcs-see-my?click_key=c3ca196dadd5d69c787c4a79241499b0040abd0c%3A1164491370&click_sum=dc2a747d&ga_search_query=diamond&ref=shop_items_search_6&sts=1
if you order from my website and mention this video I will add either an extra 3mm diamond bit or 1.1mm pearl drill.
Can I ask you which tools are you using? The model?
Does this method work for drilling pearls? I appreciate your videos!
Hi! Thank you. If the pear already has a hole you can enlarge it with this method. If no hole then it's done with a different type of bit that's metal and not diamond bit and Dan be done dry. I have the bits in my shop. Should I do a pearl drilling video?
I'm interested in drilling 4-6mm sapphires in the same way. Would this also work? Or is that too hard and small of a stone?
What drill are you using
Hi I sell the bits in my Etsy shop. If you email me I can send you a sheet on selecting a drill motor.
Which machine you are using for drilling name of brand and where to buy
I use 2 machines Strong 204 ( blue one) and a foredom flex shaft Silver one) with a #30 handpiece. Thanks for watching!
How much rpm you’re using when drilling a hole? What do you think?
Thank you for watching! Approximately 20,000 rpm.
sounds like he is feeling the work so i say it is fluctuating which makes sense.
@@themaximusone Yes, your explanation was better than mine 😀. My machine has a MAX of 35,000 rpm. I dial it in to about 20,000, but start and end much slower, with the full 20,000 between the 2 points. thanks!
You should water dropping by a bottle or a drip kit wich use in medical purposes, eventually you done well, I will try
Hi, yes I use a drip kit if I'm doing carving or many stones at one time. If just doing one stone I find that it is easier to do this way.
I have never in my life heard anyone verbally call millimeters mm
🙊Regional / industry differences 🙊😀
why not cutting oils?
You can use cutting oils, I find the the handpiece becomes slippery like an eel and the stone is hard to hold. If drilling with a drill press oil is a good option.
