Thrift stores miss things all of the time, not as much as they used to but they still miss things. Recently found a beautiful Capodimonte piece for $3.50 while researching this one I found another one that I have had for a while. A sterling silver serving piece $9.99, sterling silver creamer sugar set 98 cents (was half price day), antique 14kt gold glasses with the case $4.99 amongst other things.
Thank you Dr Lori! I have been watching you since I retired 5 years ago. You are very enjoyable and helpful to watch. Nice finding you Dr.Lori! My neighbor's grandma passed away a few months ago and they are still getting rid of her belongings by giving them away to friends and families. She gave me a marble table, that was the main item I was supposed to go get, but once there she told me to take some paintings and whatever I wanted. I took the paintings, and while I was going back and fourth she kept offering an artifact that is so ugly that I said no more than once. Once I finished loading my stuff in the car, we went back to the apartment to ensure everything was turned off and again, she grabbed that artifact and asked me if I could take it, that if I didn't take it, it would probably end up in the trash because no body wanted it for ugly. So I felt kinda of bad and decided to take it with me having no idea what I was going to do with it. Once I brought it to my house I just left on top of the guest room bed. After googling information about the painting while watching unrelated TH-cam videos, one of your videos came up as suggestion. Days went by when I finally decided to Google to find out what that artifact was. I learned that it's a pre-columbian stirrup vessel. I was so exited thinking that I could have a valuable piece of ancient art. Then this video came up, and in minute 47:00 all my exitment went away lol.

Since I found those 2 Cenedese Bud Vases (Murano) at the Salvation Army, I thought never in a million dollars will I find Murano at such a great price. Well I went to an Antique Mall looking for a Rushton Santa, and what I found was Ferro piece. 2 opalscent (pink/blue) birds with gold dust tails, perching on a silver flake clear glass branch with a rose/candle holder and leaves for only $12.50. Beautiful! My question is were can I go and find the worth?
Thank you for answering my questions. I intend to sign up for a class. Hello, you say that a sugar bowl must have 2 handles. Lately I have run into 2 different "sugar" bowls that only had one handle and there was NOT a place for a second handle (it was not broken off). The 1st one I found, I was told was a Russian Sugar bowl, it had the bowl that looked more like a tea cup and it had a lid. They wanted $10 for it and I felt it cost too much so I didn't buy it. When I went back 2 days later, it was gone. Do Russian Sugar Bowls, from very old tea sets, have only one handle? Or if It wasn't a sugar bowl, what was it?
