The time has come and so have I.
@@or10nsharkfin gee, I'm not sure what to say lol
That’s actually a really neat concept using a old throttle as a button box… good way to save a couple hundred 😅
@@gibmeister5854 it works pretty well!
Deceptively simple. Clearance over the collective, beside the throttle and between the rudder pedals for the USB are all good. Up down seat - now we're just showing off. The extra Orion. I don't sell or giveaway things that are possibly useful or able to repurpose. I think how much will it cost for me to replace this part not how much can I get for it now. Nice, with top notch tools fitted.
Woodgrain simpit, very LGR-pilled
@@rightrudderleftstick haha, well maybe I'll stain it and just lean into the whole motif? I'm not much of an artisan though. I make functional things, not really pretty things.
Wood is your friend, it surely is mine !💯 I'll tell you this. I'll spend $900 on a top Gun before I spend $900 on a prefabricated metal design from someone for some company. They're just ain't no way. I just can't see myself paying somebody $900 for a sim pit bare Bones cuz I can pick up 2 axis roll and pitch 16° for $900 USD. There's a lot we can do with $900. 2x4s, 2x2s, and some 1x4s. A can or 2 matte black paint in a can. There is nobody that can tell the difference between my SIM pit and one that is purchased off the internet. Nobody. Send me where I can send my pic and I'll be glad to share with ya 👊😎 I'm building another this week. I'll be taking pictures of stages and how I came up with the #s for the frame and that will be straight out of a Blackhawk. Perfect for the f-18 and especially excellent for the Apache longbow 💯. For $80 USD I can have the same setup but more robust and a few hinges and that straight up. Right now you have an excellent rough draft that works for you. It's for you. It ain't for nobody else. I think what you've done is the best thing anybody can do. I'm sure you're probably flying in VR I see the rims of the MFDs. So that's great. But I'm totally IR due to injuries acquired and serviced. I'm just an Old Navy rotor head & I don't put much value and living somebody else's life. Their ideals of what a. Simpit should be. You have a totally universal SIM pit that works for you and nobody in the world can tell the difference while you're flying, a Helo or a tomcat or space Sim. Go figure 🤔 But nobody can tell with a little bit of pinstripe on matte black and it looks like it's on rails. I love the sim pit that you have and if I was to do anything with it all I do is clean it up & mount the monitor to it. I'm 6 ft at 240 so I take up some space. But anybody can get into mine and adjust the seat. And also the anti-torque or rudder controls just like in a real Helo. Can adjust the dampener and the collective and they can adjust the rudders forward and aft where they're already set at 45° for proper placement. It wouldn't take much for you to clean it up and nobody in the world will know the difference. Love the video! Thank you for sharing it.
Take care 🕊️❤️🕊️
@@RagsHSC-7 I'm a moderator on the hotas/hosas/simpit discord, link in the description, or can look it up too, would love to see it.
@@FalconsLedge Will do brother. I'll show you what $80 of today's cost of lumber and a couple cans of matte black paint was a couple of hinges. Can do more than $900 of somebody else's contraption. I know sim pilot with a TM setup that can smoke other Sim pilots and turn them inside out. They're 5K hotas setups. I do believe in good quality equipment. I have win-wing Orion 2 to TB f18 metal grip with detent with the f16ex and I totally disassembled the buzzer as they call feedback. That's just gaming. That's not FFB that's just gaming for kids. I have it early 4:30 a.m. Wake up and it's coming on 2,400 hours. I'm in south Georgia and the EST zone. I'll try to look you up tomorrow on the DM. If for some reason I can't find it I'm sure I will but if I can't I'll hit you up so I can send you the pics. I wish you all the blessings in the world on your journey and if you just hang in there you'll make it. God bless brother 🕊️❤️🕊️
