Children all around the world have been watching Disney movies since the 1930s. They were transported to worlds everyone would like to live in with magic, funny characters, and happy endings. We thought everyone would love the moral of the story that made us believe that good always wins. But little did we know, some Disney movies were not really appropriate for children. Or at least, this is what some grown-ups thought when they decided to ban or censor these films.

Anime is literally a Japanese Cartoon. A cartoon is an animated film or TV Show. That is also what anime is. Plus there are some absolutely amazing western cartoons I.E. Steven Universe, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Avatar The Last Airbender, Star VS. The Forces of Evil, etc.

The Jungle Book one is so ridiculous like no it wasn't "banned" it was given a slightly restricted rating that's like saying Revenge of the Sith was banned because it's PG 13.
They never said it was banned. They explained it was given a higher censor rating because it was deemed scary for young children.
I'm not even 1 minute into the video and the first fact is NOT true. I live in the United Arab Emirates and my I went to watch live action Beauty and the Beast in cinema and so did many other people I know. I will say, however, that they did have a pg 13 rating on the movie because of the gay scene, but here if you're above nine you can probably get into that movie without an adult.

I personally believe it's best if kids learn about homosexuality when they are young for example my daughter is 11 and she hears from friends who are most likely taught about homosexuality from videos like these that portray homosexuals as bad which they are not so i keep having to explain to her that homosexuals express their love a little different than some of us in fact most kids at an early age start to develop complex feelings around that age and comments such as on this video can cause some kids to become suicidal because comments like these make them feel as though they are not right to have such feelings. my own eldest daughter is a teen and at this point in her life she tells me she feels attraction to both boys and girls don't get me wrong as a father i still don't want her dating no matter what sex they are but i make sure that she understands that whatever feelings she has are not wrong. I understand that because of some peoples religious beliefs it's difficult for them to tell their children that those feelings are normal but consider the alternative you keep telling your children homosexuality is bad then they start to have feelings for someone maybe of the same sex then they continue to hear you and possibly other who think as you about homosexuals telling your child that what they are feeling is wrong that child might become suicidal or some may even become confused or maybe even dangerous adults who may use aggression to hide the fact that they have feelings that some say are wrong.

For the Jungle book, yeah I kinda agree some people have a condition where they remember enything slightly scary that they saw/found out about......when they're trying to go to sleep, not at this point alot of you will probably be saying that "Thats normal! I mean seriously that a normal thing, it's not like it really effects them!" I'll tell you right not that you are right. That is pretty normal, however some people have it _much_ worse than others, for example if u take a normal person and show them 30 minutes of a cute cartoon about some people fighting zombies (that are even kinda censored)they might think about it while trying to go to sleep, but in a little while they'd probably how to sleep, however if you did the same to a person that had the condition then they (assuming they went to bed at 9:30 P.M) stay up till around 5:30 A.M getting paranoid, checking locks, seeing everything as a threat, and probably trembling. by now you must have realized that most of this was just me complaining about not being able to sleep for those reasons......*sighs* already 3:47 A.M.....

The Melody Time one surprised me the most. Mainly due to plenty of later Disney movies portraying smoking plenty of times in plenty of ways. I mean, sure, Cruella wasn't all that likeable, so I guess it's ok to have her smoke, but Roger also smoked in that movie, and he was a good guy. Same with Merlin in The Sword In The Stone. The Great Mouse Detective also had both Basil and Ratigan smoking in it. It seems strangely inconsistent that smoking would be censored once, but not quite a few other times, especially later, when tobacco use fell so out of favour.
Interesting you should bring up guns, that's another thing Disney has been inconsistent with censoring. As you've pointed out, Pecos's gunslinging made it through just fine, but another Disney film (Make Mine Music, I think) had a whole section removed from it for having such trigger-happy characters, despite the likes of Panchito Pistoles not being a problem at all.
At least they've seemingly been consistent with letting liquor go through, unless there's something I'm missing, Disney seems to portray alcohol consumption no problem (especially in Dumbo, remember Pink Elephants On Parade?).

From what I can figure it was: a) The way Jessica was drawn... supposedly too sexy; b) A human being in love with an animal.
may say that I would really hate to have so little imagination that I could not deal with the story line of a "sexy and hot" woman being head over heels in love with a rabbit, especially when he has the personality of Rodger. That is a sizable portion of the joke... "she is a babe and she picks him" type of thing.
But then, I guess there are people who are not capable of seeing the humor in such a rediculous situation, and understanding that this is just a story. You know, not real.
And let us not bring up the topic of parents who can not explain to their child, or children, about the story being fictional (and why).
Many times, I have to wonder if it is the children that can't deal with stories like this, or the parents that can't deal with it.

Wow o.o xD well that does make sense how they wanted to ban that scene, but it is sad that they had to ban the character as well. But society was different back then, so that's just history. Society has opened up to much more freedom now than it had before, and hopefully will continue to grow more freedom with centuries to come :) Thank you for letting me know what it meant.

Robin Hood has also been yanked by Disney. You cannot find anything relating to that movie unless it was stuff from when it was first released. And Song of the South was a great movie, I saw it in the theater back in the 80's.
