Axial SCX24 Power Hobby or Hot Racing Aluminum Oil Filled Shock Conversion

Step by step tutorial on converting Power Hobby Shocks or Hot Racing Shocks for the Axial SCX24 into oil filled shocks.
This is experimental, however I have had great results. Once you have the correct amount of oil it works perfectly.

My measurements came in at 5mm and 3mm outer diameter.
Tools:
1x 1.5mm hex driver
1x Micro tweezers
1x Pick
1x Team Associated 35wt shock oil
1x Team Associated Green Slim grease

I found a very easy conversion that achieved similar results. I took a HR clone shock from Amazon took it apart and that flatten two sides of the shock piston head to be flat with the shock shaft than resembled the shock and added 3mm of #5040 20 Million Weight Fluid it now has compression and rebound dampening and no leaking and no loss of range, compression and extended lengths are the same as stock. You can adjust the amount of dampening by the amount of 20 million you add.

The key is the correct size oring in combination with the green slime.
