It’s so fabulous to see Ceej do laundry at such a young age when so many people do this when they’re older. I was around 13 when I first started doing my own laundry. I felt really good being able to do this for myself and help my mom in the process.

I saw how hard my parents were working and I just wanted to help. I taught myself how to do laundry in the 2nd grade. I also helped with my little brother, and knew how to scramble eggs. By the 6th grade I was making homemade cornbread and chicken and dumplings.

I didn't know how to wash clothes until like 3/4 years ago. And I just turned 30. 🤦🏽‍♀️ But now I love washing, drying and folding my clothes. I just love when my clothes and everything at home is fresh and clean. It brings me such a peace of mind.

Can I ask why or how you didn’t learn until later on? One of my late teen/college aged family members doesn’t know either. I tried to reach him, but he was uninterested and unconcerned about learning. I was perplexed. Not saying that’s you…just wondering if maybe someone was just taking care of it for you, so maybe there was no need..?

I was the baby of 10 so I had a lot of teacher's....lol! I started learning how to clean the house, wash clothes and cook, mow the lawn, planting flowers, fruits and veggies around 8-9ish. Around 11-12ish I was taught how to fix my bike and eventually was taught how to work on cars, how to take care of them and know what to do when something goes wrong and of course with a Dad and 5 brothers I went on my first hunting trip when I was 6yrs old. I've been able to do a lot for myself, be disciplined, independent and it taught me to be prepared for when life throws ya curve balls. I think your great parents so keep up the good work!

    Happy Saturday beautiful Radar Family,
    The food looked so delicious.
I appreciate the fact that you two parents teach your kids how to do things around the house.
You teach life lessons that they definitely will appreciate later in their lives.
By the way Gabrielle, the perm press cycle on the washer helps reduce wrinkles in your clothes while washing/ drying.
    Reagan is such a Daddy’s girl .
I’m so proud of Ceej for doing his laundry.
Enjoyed watching this great family vlog.
    Enjoy your weekend 🙏🏽✌🏽💕💚

This is funny cause I literally just bought a new washer and dryer and it came yesterday. The old ones I had were from childhood and I'm 47 now. I learned how to wash and do laundry when I was 11 years old. My grandma taught me to do things early because she would say, one day your mom and I won't be here and you need to know these things. I wash only in cold water too...🤣😂 It's one of my fav things to do.

    Great teaching moment(s).
I grew up in the South. Never washed clothes. My grandmother and grandfather wouldn't let us go near the wash pot (you know that big old black thing that looks like a cauldron) because she was always afraid our clothes might get caught in the fire as we played. Came to New York and got married. My husband always washed the clothes. He was raised in North Carolina and was taught and told men scrubbed floors and washed clothes which was considered heavy work for females. I still don't wash clothes. My daughter does that. Years ago I said to her "we should get a washer and dryer". She said "I don't see why. We got a built-in one -- ME"! Lol.

That is where cultures clash. Parents from Africa, the Caribbean and West Indian countries teach their children, both boys, and girls at a very young age..7, gradually, to do some housework,, including laundry, cleaning, and cook.
Permanent press means that the fabric does NOT wrinkle easily and looks pressed when it comes out of the dryer; clothing is separated by colour, white, light and dark; they are all washed separately and whites are bleached to keep from becoming dingy.

We are to live in this world, but not be of this world! I don't know much about Rihanna's performance, but I do know this: the world is one thing, but believers in Christ are not supposed to just "enjoy the music" and be quiet. We have to be very careful what we let into our spirits. Music with evil and demonic lyrics should not just be "enjoyed". Beyonce has said and done some very demonic things in her songs and performances, as well as disrespected the God of the Holy Bible; and in no way should we be "enjoying" her music. We shouldn't be dancing to it either. It is unbelievable how some "Christians" just blend in with the world without any thought to it. Choosing ungodliness over godliness. God is very clear in His word about carnal Christians!
