💦Top 7 reasons a swim spa is better than a pool:
You get a spa and a pool in one - quality swim spas are equipped with hydrotherapy spa seats on one end and space to plunge or swim on the other.
Swim spas are portable - you can take your investment with you if you move houseSwim spas
They take up less space than a pool - Swim spas are compact and can usually fit into much smaller spaces than pools
You can use them all year round - Swim spas are designed to be heated and used all year round.
Much lower running costs than a swimming pool - heating a swim is a lot cheaper than a standard-sized backyard pool as they contain a lot less water - about 8,000 litres compared to 30 litres in a standard pool.
Fairly Easy and quick to install (compared to an inground pool) - swim spas can be installed and ready to go in under 24 hours (depending on the installation type)
Great for swim training and aquafitness - Swim spas have powerful jets and plunge pools for swimming, water exercise, fun and games.

Thanks for that info, I was looking into installing a pool, but I haven't even considered a swim spa until now. More research for me ...

It's really weird for me that there are options in the market that aren't separated into 2 zones, you can't swim at 38C' or have spa at 25C'

@@vaskylarkI prefer pool. Swim spa is more stationary and yes it gives you waves. But I prefer to move and not be in one spot. It’s really just down to your needs.

The top of our swimspa is so heavy! It’s a nightmare to remove and takes at least 2 people. Is there anything new and better?

On mine, like most swim spa covers, probably yours too, I had 2 halves with hinges in the middle of both, way too heavy & clumsy. So I simply cut both hinges and it became 4 sections, much easier. Then when my vinyl thick foam cover got waterlogged more every year it got more heavy. I found a company that makes hot tub & swim spa covers, and I paid some extra to have my new one made out of Sunbrella fabric instead of vinyl, and the foam not as thick. My new covers, 4 sections, weighs 1/3 of what my old vinyl covers weighed, they are much lighter. It might seem strange to cut your cover hinges to make 4 sections, but after I'd had enough struggling with mine, I didn't care anymore. Later my swim spa dealer, without me telling him that I had already cut my hinges to make 4 sections, he told me to stop struggling with those 2 heavy halves and just cut the hinges to make 4 sections! I told him I'd already done that, he said good for you. Or you could get a 'clear lift' like in the reply, looks good. Notice how in every swim spa add & video, they NEVER show anyone taking the covers off and putting them back on, seeing people struggle with them would hurt sales. But that 'clear lift' looks really good.

No, not $1, 000 a month... I live in Arkansas, my spa is the Catatonia 21 ft. Dual spa. Hot tub and swim zone on different controls. In winter, I'm spending around $150 extra to heat. My hot tub stays at 102 degrees Fahrenheit year round and the swimming zone at 86 degrees Fahrenheit.
