I have a Sinn UX dive watch (submarine steel, quartz, 44mm, 5000m (not a typo)), and a 6068B Finanzplatzuhr dress watch (steel, automatic, 38mm, 100m). Completely different pieces, and yet both fantastic in their own way. Sinn - who make 100m WR dress watches, where the bracelet is held together with hex bolts (no pins or normal screws form them!). Superb.
Sinn watches are highly regarded for their durability, precision, and innovative technologies like tegimented steel and Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. They offer excellent value for money, focusing on functional and utilitarian design with rigorous quality control. Founded in 1961, Sinn has a strong heritage and reputation, particularly among enthusiasts of tool watches. I’m am currently in market for one 😊
@yamkaw346 in the long run any shop can service a movement like that. That is value for money. It's like buying a Toyota. You can service it yourself if you'd like
I’ve had a Sinn 103 St Sa for over three years now, the classic sapphire front and back chrono with the newer Concepto movement. In a nutshell, it’s simply excellent by every measure of the imagination, whether it be subjective or objective. About the only thing I can ask for is the new adjustable clasp that’s supposed to be available soon. My other high end watch is a Tutima Grand Flieger Classic Automatic, a beautiful blue dial also on bracelet. Indeed I can’t imagine getting any other watches now except to trade all my Seikos and Citizens in for maybe a Tudor Pelagos or BB58 GMT, simply because three watches is enough winding to keep me busy and I could never get tired of such a trio.
I have the U50 and it is built like a tank. It wears light on the wrist, has 500 m water resistance, and is made of U boat steel, which is scratchproof as well. The quality is above the price they are charging imo. You aren't getting the most stylish watch, but surely one that stands the test of time for sure!
I have the 556 A on the H link It gets a lot of wrist time. Leaving my OP in the watch box. The 556 meets so many of the GADA requirements and doesn’t cost so much money that you can't risk taking on an exploration in the mountains or the sea
I'm actually going regularly to Sinn HQ when in Frankfurt and they are not just producing great quality products but they also are really nice people...And I'm also the owner of a 556 MOP and looking forward for an EZM 12 (fun watch)
I’ve got the Carnelian Red (actually orange) version and like it just fine for an inexpensive watch. However, the winding action with the cheapo Sellita movement is terrible, so I’ll avoid Sellita’s in the future. My two watches with ETA 2824-2’s are far far superior. While the finishing is fine for the money, you simply can’t compare the 556 with the OP, other than they are no date watches with colorful dials. I think Sinn quality has decreased a bit over time (maybe now that they use some made in China components) yet their prices have gone up, so they are no longer the super deal they used to be.
I love this design by Sinn and would have bought one long ago... the red model in particular, and not to scratch any unfulfilled Rolex itch (which I don't have anyway). There is just one issue: the SW-200 has a date, which means that this watch has a ghost date position. And that, to me, is an absolute dealbreaker in any watch. Maybe it's my OCD acting up, maybe I'm overly perfectionist here, but a ghost position in any watch above $300 is simply unacceptable imo.
The older 556 have a ghost positions but the newer ones do not. Not sure when they changed them but my 556ib from 2020 has a ghost position my 2023 556 mop doesn’t.
I’ve not seen too many people talk about non-diver/pilot Sinn watches. This was an interesting video. But I think this piece stacks up against a CW or even Longines, but a Rolex is far superior. Still a great watch.
Sinn is so high quality for the price. Really rivals watches that cost a lot more. build quality plus their double side AR coating and simple dials give you an elite tool watch.
I have 3 sinns, the 556 I ( black), sinns 556 A (black), and sinn 104 I (black), for me sinn its great!!, i LOVE sinn watches, for me its not an alternative to Rolex, its just a great wacth
I just sold my Sinn 856 UTC and I already regret it. It was such a nice watch, but I just never wore. I think I was worried about chipping the black coating off 🤷🏽♂️
When I see a watch like this one, I think, OK. Then I see it's a Sinn and I think, oh, it's a Sinn. OK. Cool. But only after I see that. Maybe it's more impressive in person.
Whoa all this lady enthusiast commenting!!!! Or are they fishing for weird watch collectors with money to spend?😳Anyway came here to say Jenni, that for me personally their design case is not particularly unique and their price point is just a bit higher than what I am willing to spend for a watch like that. Just me personally. Love your videos.
Ok, ich bin jetzt nicht länger Sinn-Fan 😎. Ich finde die Uhr so extrem LANGWEILIG. Die sollten sich mal ein Beispiel an NOMOS nehmen. Aber das ist nur meine Meinung 🤷♂
A beautiful watch but the hands look too short for the dial space. Once I've seen it, I now can't unsee it and this would put me off purchasing it, despite how nice the dial colour and general finishing are. The hands are different to the regular 556 so not sure why they couldn't make a longer minute hand in particular..
I see you held your fingers the way Germans do when indicating the number three. Americans indicate the number three differently. I learned this from watching "Inglorious Bastards." :)
I like the Sinn black with the red markers .. that's the Sinn
I own both a 556IB and a 556RS.
Love the simplicity, sturdiness, quality.
I agree! You can absolutely tell that they are built to last!
I have 3 556s The yellow one released at the same time as the light blue is my favourite
I’ve owned the 856 for years and absolutely love it! Fantastic piece

Idk if I’d call them value for money, lots of their watches are $3,000+ and still use sellitas.
I just purchased my first - a U2 SDR

@@yamkaw346All movements are serviced and regulated in house, they meet chrono standards, in house isn’t the be all and end all
@ Yeah but the point is that a bunch of companies do that for less.
I own the Sinn 836 and love it. Bought it new in 2018 shortly after its release.
I bought a 556 with black dial and date at 3 in May 2022. Quality is excellent, it runs +2 sec per day. Love the high contrast dial & hands.

The Sinn 556i is my daily and I absolutely love it. It’s so good that it’s made me way less interested in watches as a whole. I long for very little
SINN is one of the best watches!
Timely for me! Once the championships are over, I'd planned on visiting the store on Römerplatz and likely buying an EZM13.1.
Oh nice!! Enjoy you trip :-)

I have the carnelian red/orange version . Great tool watch! My only sinn.
Sinn 104 green owner. Fantastic watch.
Same (the non-limited edition model), one of the very favorites in my collection.
I have the Sinn 556 Anniversary. Love it! Such a good brand.
I have the carneolred/orange one. Get the 5 link metal bracelet for it. It elevates the watch so much.
Love my 2 Sinn’s… wonderful watches.

Thanks for a great video
Love my 756 III, AR filled, tegimented. Please also look at more upmarket models, there the true beauty in Sinn lives..
I may get the 556i. Beautiful watches
I did. The 556i RS (red second hand). Happy!
@jackarnold3290 really good to hear. I'm giving up on Sinn for now, and saving for IWC Mark XV or a black Datejust 36
I’m a simple man. I see ~38mm diameter, I hit the like button.
I like the Citrine Yellow variant more than the blue. A beautiful watch.

Great job, Jenni
Thank you :-)!

Great review as always. Nice clean look. Unfortunate they don’t offer a bracelet - or do they?
They do. The main issue is there are only 400 of these.

I like it.👍🏼😎
Can you review the Seagull ultra thin? It is only 35mm case size and 8mm thick. A Seagull that won’t feel like a refrigerator on my wrist!

The watch is quite lovely, apart from the hands which are too short (IMO).
Thanks for the video, Jenni.
I have the Sinn 556 Carnelian Red and my only complain is that the strap is not tapered.
Sinn watches are excellent German-made watches.
So are Damasko !!! 😊
Yes they are ..use the EZM3 as my daily
ha. You did the German Three like in Inglorious Bastards. Good job. You're not going to get detected as a spy.
The turquoise OP didn’t come in 39 2:49 only in 41 (discontinued) and 36. OP 39 discontinued 2020.
Love Sinn, have 104 and 903.
But the OP 41 i 39,5mm in diametre so she is close😀
@@HH-mp3wq it may measure close but it’s certainly not called that! 🤣 I’ll give her 1/2 credit because her smile is adorable!
👍🤣
I like a lot of their watches but the hour hand seems to short on some of the models including this one
Do yourselves a favor and get one on any of Sinns bracelets. Don't waste the opportunity to enjoy a brand very well known for excellent bracelets!
Are Sinn online only? Im in the Netherlands. I will never buy an expensive watch online if i dont know how it wears.
They are not, you are close, take a trip to Frankfurt to the HQ or any AD throughout Germany..
I think serious watches is a dealer in the Netherlands.

That macro video is butter
I'm think they're relatively perfect .
The 556. Could be great with longer hands.
I'd get a used Monta Noble turquoise, which is much closer to the OP at around 1.5K US.
How would you describe the typical Sinn owner/fan…? :-)
For reading the lume at night, having no distinguishing pip or batons at 12 or 6 o’clock makes no sense. Otherwise a solid watch
What’s going on with the minute hand around about two minutes 26
0:08 Thank you for showing me three fingers, because I don't know the meaning of the word three 🤷🏻♂

Where's the rolex?? Oh, there it is 2:50.

Kind of OK if you get a big discount.
Other than that you are paying for quirky mid range uniqueness.
Jenni!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sinn is more clean than Rolex.
Is Sinn good? Ughhh yes.
Theses aren't in production anymore.
Comparing an apple to an orange is really funny. By doing so, someone insults a well reputed brand like Sinn.
Sinn is my weakness. German quality is beyond compare.
I think this Swiss might have something to say about that.
Uh Swiss quality 😂
@@davidb6635 I think even the Swiss would have to agree about the quality of Sinn watches
