Thank you so much for this interview. I am a life long Catholic and I thirst more for Jesus and the Father. I live in a senior care home and I’m 84. Ever thing both of you said blew my mind. No one from St Ann’s Burch has visited me. Of course Covid was part of the problem but it brought many. To their knees. Thank you so much for your interview.

What a wonderful, dramatic story! Rich Mullins experienced many of the same sins and challenges that Jeremy Rivera did in his journey to God and to the Catholic faith, but the difference was he was never allowed to talk so openly about about it, for fear of losing his fans. God bless you Jeremy, for your humility and honesty and for responding to God's will with such trust!

Thank you so much for your testimony Mr. Rivera! I’m so pleased that you said you were inspired by the witness of the great Rich Mullins! Your conversion story reminds me so much of his. Rich struggled with many of the same sins and vices and doubts that you mentioned, and he felt very unloved by his father, so he had great difficulty believing that God really loved him. In his concerts, Rich talked about many of the same things that you stated here. He had been attending Mass frequently and had decided to enter the Catholic Church the very weekend that he was killed. I have no doubt that Jesus received Rich into Heaven as a Catholic!

His getting kicked out of confirmation reminds me of my mother. I once asked my mother why she wasn't catholic. She knew exactly why. When she was a kid in catechism class she said that she didn't understand the trinity and asked for clarification. She was yelled at for blasphemy and sent home. She never went back. That was 50 years ago.

I would wish for all the people in the world who hates the Church, the Pope and our dear Mother, to just take the time to listen to your Catholic friends, not to be afraid to make the time to listen as they tell you about what the Church believes in.... guys, you do not realize what you're missing! In reply to things said starting at 13:25, if one pays attention at mass, the mass is the Gospel! Even if the priest gives a crap homily or none at all, just paying attention and participating in the sacred liturgy reveals the entire Gospel. Starting from the introductory rite, the penitential rite, the liturgy of the word, the LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST (the Eucharistic prayers), the concluding rite and the final sending (missa) the mass is a passion play expressing the Gospel.

A Big Kudos for both guest and host. Unity among the brethren is a Great Sign. We need one another at this time, possibly more than ever. It is my opinion that some who follow the Catholic way would be of great service if they express a little humility in their approach to Christians of different paths, receive them and accept them, so healing can occur. Protestants could benefit from humbling themselves as well, and be open to learn from the experience of the older paths, and even be open to change. Thought I'd share this. Peace.

So we are not alone on our path to salvation. Please, let us pray for the Church and for our priests.

3:27 in Saskatchewan . I am always excited to hear people’s conversion stories. As a former Protestant ( Methodist), I was and am attracted to the Jewish teaching and to the State of Israel and grew up watching the 67 war, Yom Kippur war etc!! On Tv and always was attracted to Judaism even as a child. The Judaism of the Hebrew Bible. I left Methodism, my moms beliefs and got involved with the worldwide church of god, a cult with Jewish beliefs but believed in Jesus, later I left and got involved with messianic Judaism but they seemed so Protestant in their beliefs and extremes. I found out I was baptized in the Catholic Church, my Portuguese ancestry was on my dads side. So I looked into the Catholic Church and saw the connection between the Old and New Testament and fell in love with the Church and Then I found out my Fathers side had Jewish ancestry from the Azores so I’m home!! I love the Catholic Church and the Hebrew Catholics I meet

A convert from Judaism, there is an old saying, "What the son wants to forget the grandson wants to remember." Which seems to parallel many who are not well grounded in the Faith, fall away into "more exciting" Protestant Churches, then rediscover the Faith. I also have received into the Church many former Protestants who have wandered around various Protestant sects, getting more and more Liturgical along the way. Some have described the journey as going from Oasis to Oasis, a place to rest and replenish their water supply in the desert, but when they came into the Catholic Church, it was no longer a stopover in an Oasis, but the city of their destination they never knew they were looking for.

He was born in Breslau, now Wroclaw, convertet to the Una Sancta, named himself after that "Angelus Silesius", the Silesian angel / herald. He was a theologian and medical doctor. And in the German songbook there's some wonderful songs he wrote.

Too many people miss use “ don’t judge “ as to an acceptance of their sin. Jesus loves me as I am, and God made me this way. I’m saved… all my sins are forgiven, past, present and future… I do not have to be mindful of what I do ? Just sayin!

First of all, it’s not the “church’s“ responsibility to raise our children Catholic. From the first and having been reaffirmed multiple times by the magisterium, and the Saints, the primary responsibility of parents toward their children is to pass on the faith. If children do not know their faith, and if they do not get to know Jesus Christ personally, if they’ve never heard that Jesus loves then, that is the PARENT’S fault. And since the father is the spiritual head of the family, that responsibility falls squarely on his shoulders. Even in a broken family, the mother’s DUTY is to evangelize her children. But, most parents are either lazy about this duty that God has given them or they themselves are at best lukewarm in their faith, and so they slough this responsibility off onto “the church“. I grew up during a time in the Catholic Church, where religious education of any sort just fell to pieces. The textbooks in some of our “religion classes“ were actually protestant texts. Yet my entire family, and there are eight of us, NEVER left the faith because my parents took their responsibility before God seriously. We were catechized by our parents. They did not say oh well, that’s their Sunday school teachers duty or the priests duty. So let’s start there.
It is a big turn off for me when I go to a parish where that is uber “welcoming”, it is a serious turn off. Mass is NOT the time for fellowship, it is the time for WORSHIP. We have 167 other hours in the week to do fellowship, this one hour is for worship. Most parishes have some sort of fellowship after Mass, with coffee and doughnuts or similar, so that people can enjoy some time set apart specifically for fellowship. I have read the conversion stories of more than a few that specifically mention that one of the first things that drew them into the Catholic Church is the very fact that when they went into the church for Mass, no one made a fuss over them. No one ran up to shake their hand, no one was effusively friendly, no one tried to get them to join the church. There was no “cult of the person”. The entire focus was on worshiping God.

I think Evangelicals get painted with a broad brush, much like Catholics. When I came to St. Louis in the early 90s it was very much a Catholic city. No one knew their scriptures, everyone was a drunk, and people were what they call "C" & "E" Catholics. I did not know 1 person who took their faith seriously or knew anything about the bible, or even cared about Jesus. Fast forward and the broader Evangelical church is a mess as mentioned with the "cult personalities", book sales, "coaching"., caving to the culture, etc. The Catholic church is still reeling from scandal, and on every side major traunches of "Christians" are giving into the culture instead of remaining true to the gospel, let alone preaching it.
Having said that, at the local level, our pastors do not drive BMWs at my church, we feed the poor and serve, and we study the scriptures. I know and serve and love alongside many faithful Catholics. I am excited to see the laity rising up on both sides to reclaim a knowledge of the scriptures and obedience to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, fight for the unborn and our families, and live out the gospel. May the Lord continue to refine us all and lead us into redemptive glory because He is coming back for a glorious church and none of them are right now.

Of course I’m offended when it is said Catholics have no relationship with Jesus. For me, from K grade catholic school when i was told the Eucharist is the body of Christ I really believed it. This relationship with Jesus was carried to this day. I’ve had a very deep relationship with Christ. These TH-cam videos often talk how dumb, ignorant Catholics seem to be. If I moved to evangelical circles like many Catholics do I feel like I would then trash Jesus, disavow God who has been so close to me after 65 years. Gee Catholics leaving the church are so stupid. It’s amazing. Catholics leave to be Mormons and JWs which are not Christian. Of course as a kid, or later one is not taught what one needs to know about Jesus, God, church. For this reason I studied on my own. Isn’t this what I am supposed to do?

Child from the largest womb is a person who has the LIFE (Jesus - I am the LIFE) even after the largest womb.
With out the LIFE are aborted, take care.

As they say "to each his own", but, for me, the Catholics sure seem to put two names way ahead of Jesus and the Father-----"Mary", as in "hail Mary" and of course "Catholic", ahead of "Christian". Years ago, I asked a Catholic I knew if he was Catholic or Christian--first. He said "Catholic" and you know, I believed him. Sure, he did not--does not, speak for all "Catholics", but still. And I will probably never forget all the times the "church" defended--even hid Priests who raped children--hid them, actively, not passively, actively hid them--moved them to other areas, the message chillingly clear. Just a few years back--in the news (you can look it up if interested), the Catholic authority announced in their graciousness, that children born out of wedlock with a Catholic priest as an unmarried father--get this, "did not need to be ashamed". Wasn't that wonderful for the Church to look the other way, to let these poor kids know they did not have to be ashamed? Wonderful folks those Catholic authorities. Soooooo, you could ahead and bless the day you found them. Or the day they found you, or however it went. You just can't expect the Protestants to keep up.

If you look thru the layers and history of the Cathoilic church, you may find you agree with this statement. Search the history and you will find a trail that takes you all the way back to the days when Jesus walked on earth. You will find the path that takes you from where you are presently, all the way back to the upper room where Jesus and the disciples had thier last supper with Jesus. History books will show you the way there. Then, after you've made that journey through history, you can make a well informed decision on where you stand. The word Catholic, which means "universal",
is not in the bible; but neither is "sola scriptura". Check out history. We are all on a journey, and the destination for many is heaven. God bless you on your journey.

To Catholics, Mary is very much alive.
I am an Anglican converted to Catholic.
One day after Mass, I went to talk to the priest. Suddenly I heard my own voice saying, 'Fr, I want to be a Catholic.' I was shocked when I realise that it was me uttering those words. That was how I became Catholic.
Mary seep into my life even though at first I tried not to get close to her.
I am sure the Apostles respected her cos she was their Master' s mother. During the centuries, there have been miracles happening due to her intervention. So she was there before we were born and will still be around after we died.
It is ok not to believe in her for now. Hope you will get to know her before you go so that you will know what I mean. Have a blessed day!

I am just giving my testimony. Nothing wrong in that.
Remember anything negative is not from God.
You must always think good of others.
I believe that you love God too and that is why you act as you do.
God is so mighty and powerful and He can change my mind in a second if He wants. If you believe in that, you will leave it to the Holy Spirit to do the rest.
Are you feeling all hot and bothered?
      Just calm down.
Catholics respect Mary and ask her to intercede for us as in the wedding of Cana.... It is through Mary to Jesus that he turn water to wine.
In actual life, we will also respect the mother of our teacher and ask for her help/advice if we dare not face our teacher because she knows him/her best.
I can understand your concern regarding Catholics going the wrong way. It is your love for your own fellow Christian. I appreciate it.
I feel that you misunderstood the Catholic faith. I know one day you will come to understand it since you know the Holy Spirit too.
But do not bruise the Holy Spirit by saying that it was the devil that hook me up. Sometimes it is better not to say anything because the Holy Spirit is much much more than what we think. If you are so concern, pray for me. It is better than generating ill feelings. Don't you think so?
No, your words have no power over me because I know you have a good heart and that you misunderstood.
I am sure you have heard Catholics denying that they worship Mary and statues etc... I agree with them.
The best way to prove that Catholics are what you think they are, why don't you delve into the Catholic faith and study it? If you are so strong in your faith, you will not be so easily swayed. Do not listen to others. Believe in yourself and find it out yourself.
It is common knowledge that Pastors of other denominations like to talk bad about Catholics but our Catholic priests never talk bad about them. A few christians including myself noticed that fact.
But I never regret becoming a Catholic and I thank God for it. I learn so much.
