Great series indeed. I heard someone say that the micro g2 combined with a video assist connected with SDI has less/no control from the assist compaired to a HDMI connection and that the assist doesn't support all needed controls anyway. Have you had this experience?
@@EytschPi42 the micro can be controlled through usb, hdmi and SDI. The video assist can control BMD camera's, just not the micro totally, at least that is what I saw. Let's hope a firmware upgrade will make that work.
I have a atem sdi and a jvc hm200 4k camera my camera carries sdi out put I bought a third party sdi to hdmi converter but I'm when I connect I'm not seeing anything and my screen anyhelp
i can not get to access independent camera control via SDI in the atem sdi extreem. I try to connect each camera to sepparate sdi out or via de out 1 with the sdi distribution box. if i change parameters on cameera 1 all cameras are changing.
You have to change the numbers on the camera. Each camera needs to be set to the input number they are connected to. Right now it seems they are all set to 1
I'm a complete outsider to video production and have to accept that this is how it is done today. Still, it appears to be a total mess, with too many standards, too many cable types, too many adapters and converters. Oh, sorry, this cable doesn't do 4K. Oh, it's unidirectional and you need two cable runs. Oh dear, where can I plug in the power supplies for the ten converters I need? Let's hope Henning's Uncle Bob comes up with an Ethernet and IP-based solution soon.
And yet another great video. Loving this series!
Your hoodies are unforgettable! Your videos are excellent too!
Very helpful and informative for my own setup!
Everything looks nice, also nice Nord Stage.

I didn't know that the Video Assist was supposed to Control the Micro

I am currently going through the playlist... and I do wonder, does the SDI signal include a wordclock signal?
I don't think so

Yes please 🙏🏽
Bob is definitely not my uncle.
I have terminated thousands of those BNC cables. Learn to make your own cables and possibly save yourself thousands .
