We need to mention the Litchi online Mission Hub because it seems to me that many Litchi users are unaware of it.. The Mission Hub preflight planner is available for free online. Planning the flight missions I will run for the day from the comfort of my favorite chair on a rainy day is a big part of the experience for me. When you name and save the mission file it automatically uploads to your Litchi app on your tablet the next time you boot it up. When I analyse inflight video later I can tweak camera angles, elevations, flight speeds from waypoint to waypoint and many other subtle things that you just can't do in the field on a tablet. Why DJI doesn't have a similar online flight planner, I don't know. Hats off to Litchi. The only thing lacking in Litchi for me is some of the fine adjustments and calibrations for the drone controls itself which I can do in DJI Go so I keep both apps on my Nexus 7 2nd Gen tablet to cover that until they add the feature. Have fun flying guys!!
If my first waypoint is two hundred yards away and my altitude is set to 150ft at that waypoint, will the drone climb to that altitude as soon as the mission is started? Or, will it gradually climb to that altitude on its way there? Just curious because there may be an obstacle between the mission start point and the first waypoint. Thank you for the great tutorials
This is another good one. I have used Litchi and also enjoy it. I have never put music to it though. Do you think they might extend it to the Tello, too? I have used Litchi to stop and pause to take a picture then resume. Agree it is a fun app.
Very nice video, that explains in simple and easy to understand way how Waypoints work with Litchi app for DJI Mavic Air. Quick question, when you fly Waypoints mission with Litchi app, does the telemetry data / flight data show on the live video feed from the drone? If yes then is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work!
Nice Video! Very well explained Tutorial! Just curious will the FVP mode & head tracking (immersive) work with 'WayPoints' on Litichi App + DJI Mavic Pro/Air?? Thanks.
That was great. Do you have full control with the remote at any point once you started the way-point mission? Flying up, left or right or stopping the mission at any point? Also will the app work with the Spark? Thanks for the video.
Looking to purchase this as well but i needed more info but lo and behold, i came across your page and thank you for all of these vids! Just curious though, is there a chance that the drone can suddenly lose track of its waypoints and just fly away some place else? That fear is still in me lol as i am a new drone user and got a Mavic Air as well. Been flying for almost 2 weeks now too
It certainly takes time to feel less nervous about flying a new drone. The drone won't lose track of waypoints, but it's important to learn and gain confidence with the drone and use of the Litchi app. Start by just running a 2 waypoint mission, being fully aware of how to quickly pause and abort the mission (so you can regain full control). You'll quickly realize how amazing this app is for planning and flying missions, and can easily double your enjoyment of your new drone. Happy flying!
Alright, will go ahead and give it a shot then! Good thing you mentioned that aborting a mission is possible to quickly enable manual override. Thank you!
Alright. Hey, thank you so much. Just one last thing though, been reading a lot of bad/negative reviews saying this app got their drone lost like it just flew away when it lost signal or instead of flying high on a set waypoint height to dodge an obstacle, it just went through it and crashed. Is this true or were those human errors from waypoint inputs?
Most likely human error or a glitch with drone itself. Personally, I've never had an issue with this app, other than being my own fault. Also, keep in mind that if the drone lost signal, it would automatically Return to Home (if set that way within the app), so if it didn't, again, human error or drone glitch.
I have been really impressed with using the LItchi App especially on planning the waypoints at home and then flying the mission. I am still really confused on whether to use POI or interpolate between waypoints. So far I have been using focus on POI rather than interpolate between waypoints and have been very happy with the smoothness of the video footage. Can you tell me when I should be using interpolate instead of focus to POI. I have seen youtube videos expressing it is smoother to use interpolate. I am totally confused on this as I have a mission coming up where I need to know the difference? Thanks for all you do!
I could be wrong, but pretty sure Focus and Interpolate operate the camera the same. Only difference between that you can set your desired camera pitch with Interpolate.
Thanks for the video. Has anyone else had the problem where the gimbal doesn't point where you want to on the POI on the map? Seems like it's angle is off a little.
I am confused, I have read where the Litchi waypoint function works better with Android, then others have said that the Litchi in general functions better with IOS. What device did you use with this demonstration.
That would be cool but it can’t tracking a moving subject. You could time your movements with how you plan your mission but it wouldn’t be easy to sync it.
Very interesting. Thank you for the demo. I have been thinking about purchasing Litchi to use with my Mavic Pro. I assume it can do the same thing. Correct? Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I have the Mavic Pro as well, and does the same thing. I only scratched the surface of the full capabilities of the Litchi app, so highly recommend it. For example, you can plan your mission in 3D, or interactively fly using inexpensive VR googles. Be sure to check out my playlist in the description.
I took Lichi out yesterday for the first time. I normally fly without being connected to WiFi/internet. I noticed the map screen was totally black. do I need to be connected to fly all missions?
Woodrow Bryan I used an overall mission setting whereby all the waypoints use a set speed. Alternatively, each waypoint can have a different speed set.
@@D7dronetech Hi I asked because the title also says "NEW DJI Mavic Air WAYPOINTS Using Litchi App - Works on Mavic Pro / Phantom 3 and 4", here it says works on Mavic Pro/ Phantom 3 & 4, nothing about Mavic Air, Just wanted to make sure it works on Mavic Air

Great points, thank you for including that here!
@Montañero Paisa yes that's built in if you have obstacle avoidance.
This Litchi tutorial is 50x clearer explanation than any other on TH-cam. You are a natural teacher
Thank you so kindly! Very nice to hear that. Happy flying!
I've been using the Litchi App since Phantom 2 V+ and I'm really satisfied with it. Very well done and thank you for sharing. 👍👌
Yes litchi really adds to the utility and enjoyment. Happy flying!
You got our attention !!
You are making our mavic air experience waybetter.
Thanks
Thanks! So nice to hear that.
Simple plan but very very cool footage ..
Thanks!
Thank you. Very clear and short video. Calm explanations and easy to understand!
Thanks, nice hearing that! Happy flying!
Awesome video, just installed Litchi for my Mavic air 2S. Could you please tell how to mark waypoints from my remote control? Thank you.
Great demo, I learned a lot. I can't wait to get out and practice some these techniques.
Thank you for all your videos keep them coming 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice hearing that the videos have been helpful. Happy flying!
Too cool. I live on a mountain though will it auto adjust to avoid trees and continue ?

Chris Farrell it will first climb straight up from take off point
Nicely done! Updated yesterday, looking forward to trying it out on the Air today.
Well needed updated. Thanks and happy flying.
Got out today and flew 2 missions. The Air was amazing. Thanks again for the update.

I really appreciate this video, it helped me a lot on my first litchi flight today thanks
Dave in philippines
That’s really nice to hear the video was helpful. And congrats on your first Litchi flight. Litchi is great. Happy flying!

Thanks for your nice comment, unfortunately, I don't know of any way to un-display the flight data from the screen.
That's a perfect demonstration! Even down to the subject matter for me :-). I've subscribed.
Thank you, appreciate hearing that. Happy flying!

You can easily abort the mission to gain full control or simply pause it. Spark currently does not support flying by waypoints. Thanks!
Simply excellent. (Wonder if DJI Go 4 or AutoPilot has caught up to the simplicity of Litchi?)
Litchi is really awesome, with broad usage and good support.
Just watched this video and was wondering if you have tried "Follow Me" using a IOS device with the Mavic Air.
Looking to purchase this as well but i needed more info but lo and behold, i came across your page and thank you for all of these vids!

There's buttons on the screen to pause or abort the mission, but you can also use pause button on the controller and the Sport Mode switch to abort.

Thanks Dragon that makes sense to me. Perhaps only a small deviation between the footage of both from what I have seen.
hello can i ask how to set up manual Set Coordinate?
Thanks for the video. Has anyone else had the problem where the gimbal doesn't point where you want to on the POI on the map? Seems like it's angle is off a little.
It's not as precise as we'd like it to be.
I wonder is this still workable ?
This is 4 yrs ago.
I am confused, I have read where the Litchi waypoint function works better with Android, then others have said that the Litchi in general functions better with IOS. What device did you use with this demonstration.
Wade Gizzy iOS, generally works better with iOS devices than Android.
Can I fly way points and have the camera tracking me while it’s flying the course ? Sorry if you said in the review can watch it with sound at work !!
That would be cool but it can’t tracking a moving subject. You could time your movements with how you plan your mission but it wouldn’t be easy to sync it.
Very cool app. Will it work with the spark? Or the mavic pro?
Chris Smith Works great with newer DJI drones, but Spark doesn’t handle waypoints but does other modes.
Dragon7 thanks. The app is a little expensive at $22 plus in app purchases. Thanks for answering my question. Keep up the great work.
Nice would is work on Mavic pro ?
Jeff Warhawk Yes, absolutely!
I have read other reviews stating that the drone can fly away without returning. Is this true?
Very rarely. 99% of the time a drone is lost due to user error.
Very interesting. Thank you for the demo. I have been thinking about purchasing Litchi to use with my Mavic Pro. I assume it can do the same thing. Correct? Thanks for sharing.

Great! Thank you. I will have to explore all that Litchi can do.
If I designed the flight plan on a Windows 10 PC , would I be able to transfer it to an IOS device?
Wade Gizzy Sure, and I’m assuming you planned and saved the flight using Litchi Hub?
I took Lichi out yesterday for the first time. I normally fly without being connected to WiFi/internet. I noticed the map screen was totally black. do I need to be connected to fly all missions?
Also, can you do a detailed tutorial recording a hyperlapse only using the app...not the HUB? Thanks.
Data is needed for maps to appear. In the past, you may have kept the app open which kept the map data.
Both Litchi and Go 4 need data to update the map, but you don’t need data to fly.
How was the speed of the Mavic Air determined?
Woodrow Bryan I used an overall mission setting whereby all the waypoints use a set speed. Alternatively, each waypoint can have a different speed set.
Nice. I think Litchi is a must have....great video.
Does this work on the Mavic Air ?
Ah yes. The title says it
@@D7dronetech Hi I asked because the title also says "NEW DJI Mavic Air WAYPOINTS Using Litchi App - Works on Mavic Pro / Phantom 3 and 4", here it says works on Mavic Pro/ Phantom 3 & 4, nothing about Mavic Air, Just wanted to make sure it works on Mavic Air
Warning!!! If u are using FCC in Europe litchi will force you to CE without warning.
