    Dom, you are seriously one of the most accomplished calisthenics athletes ever. You should be as well known as all the top guys like Medrano and Tatted Strength. You need to get out there on social media and promote yourself more, you are seriously an inspiration.

    Let’s appreciate the fact that he could have made a 100 elongated 10 minute videos about each of these exercises with countless sponsors and plugs and had 10m subscribers. But he respected all of our time and made such an awesome compilation.

    This is majorly impressive. Not least because you're actually trying to pass on your knowledge for everyone rather than keep it secret. Next level awesome.

    Dominik - this guy is seriously crazy - he works out the basic with so much of intensity - he also shows what common mistake can a guy do so he makes a point to highlight the correct workout - he is simply amazing - I personally think his collection are the best motivational stuff available

    Am I the only one who were amazed by all of this?
    I am 15 years old and I have trained in a gym for 6 months now. I was super skinny, but started eating a lot more, and a lot healthier.
    I started to see results.
    After 5 months in the gym, learning more and more about training, I came to love rings and bars. I have been doing pull-ups, muscle-ups, dips, and some other ring exercises for some time now, but just recently have I been looking more into bar and ring training.
    I would love to become really good at Calisthenics one day, and you sure motivated me a lot.
    (PS: Amazing cat you have got)

    Nice to see this, most people think just doing ab exercises will get them ripped abs... These actually utilize your entire body which is what is needed. These exercises are also going to build muscle which a lot of ab guides don't go far, they only aim to burn fat around the core and it's just a bad idea to focus only on the core if you're trying to burn fat. Need that cardio. Such a simple video but so precise, respect.

    Dear Dominik, You're my inspiration for me to get lean and healthy. In the first few months, I couldn't do many simple exercises in your video, but I' keep practicing your exercise, now I can do L-sit advance also L-sit on the ground without a problem in 40 seconds. I was 220 lbs ( 95 kg); however, now I'm 155 lbs, also I had no pack at the beginning, right now have 4 packs and side abs show clearly. All I can say to you is thank you for all your tutorial videos which you have uploaded so far, and this is the first video I've seen from you:), I just want you to know you're my biggest inspiration on getting lean .

      But thanks anyway I ll add more of those in my workouts cheers from Slovakia!

    • @unespebb2220
      @unespebb2220 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quov Tsin i guess using 4 fingers could help! (8 if you have 2 hands of course).because when you go up high, you can transition your thumb to the upper side of the bar. btw i think the 4 fingers youll use more your biceps, i always get confused.

    • @AwDTeny
      @AwDTeny 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unesp Ebb You mean like, to keep my thumb over the bar not under(I keep it under the bar)? not sure if I follow correclty

    • @unespebb2220
      @unespebb2220 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. If you keep it under the bar it should be easier to force your palm over the bar, entirely. The transition you know? Somebody could correct if Im wrong but I think its logical except for the muscles used. Still it would be such a good muscle up in terms of strength, no matter which muscle-force youre using since youre getting over the bar. I will search a video for you

    • @BadLeoG
      @BadLeoG 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Mees Broersen I personally dont bother with bodyweight legs cuz I get bored of repetitive movements (peoples' legs are generally just too strong to do just bodyweight) Personally, I would suggest just squats and deadlifts for legs, and that helps a lot with your back, core, and generally body stability as well. However, dont go too heavy on these if you want to keep your body weight down. If you want to throw bodyweight stuff in there, do some box jumps, pistol squats, volume lungles (I like to do these over a set distance, like 1km, which makes it more dynamic for me)

    I see you recommend the hollow body position. I understand that the position is standard in gymnastics and is considered good form, but from perspective of general athletics this is counter-intuitive, as many practices in gymnastics are. Is there a rationale founded in bio-mechanics or kineaseology for why I should hollow out my torso to perform planches or back levers? Example: I refuse to land jumps with straight legs just because it is celebrated in gymnastics, and you wouldn't likely recommend others do that because their landings are not for art's sake.

    • @tfunknationtown

      ***** ha, y hollow out my bowdy? Ansa wit science peas.

    • @2xxxzz
      @2xxxzz 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      you dont land with straight legs, you land then straighten your legs
      hollow body allows you to engage your lats and chest

    • @tfunknationtown
      @tfunknationtown 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok thanks! I have a hard time with that conceptually! Every other primary lift I do I avoid that posture like the plague and I wanted to know if it was a nuance of it's artistic origin or actually functional!

      ***** My gymnast friends tell me the same tale every time we monkey around (and yes they mention the toes to me with it). So I tried it with the hollow body position today, and I felt it was easier and less stressful on my shoulders, but strangely more fatiguing! Think it could have something to do with approximating the moment arm of the glenohumeral complex with the pelvis? I'm kind of heavy for this kind of activity and don't exactly have the golden ratios so I'm always looking for feedback. Appreciate the time!

    1.Best workout room/home gym set up I've ever seen.
    2.Great content, one of the better calisthenic videos I've seen.
    3.Cat. Makes the video 1000% better.
    4. My only gripe, I had to mute the video from 5:30 to 9:30. That music was ass. I feel bad because I'm sure a lot of hard work went in to it and the man posting this video obviously likes it but... it's no good. Couldn't do it.

    Hi Dom. This is a by far the most useful and appropriate abs video I have ever seen. Thank you! I'd like to ask you what types of workouts I should focus on. Here's a bit about me. I'm 16, I weigh 69kg and I'm 5'10. I'm very fit and muscular. I have never touched weights, and don't intend to do so. I focus on calisthenics day in and out. I currently have a pull up bar (the ones on the side of the door) so I am unable to practice muscle ups, how ever I try and focus on explosive pull ups in return. I can do 15 perfect form no kip pull ups (I know, not that great, started calisthenics 2 months ago). I get plenty of cardio (5km every 2nd day) I have no equipment, apart from the pull up bar. I do ab workouts every day, but I guess you can call them "pussy" ones.
    So, I'm curious as to what I should specifically focus on. I workout every single day for an hour straight and I never lose motivation to keep pushing forward. If anyone can reply to me, that would be great!

      sebsterkid77 I've yet to set one, but I'd really like to be able to perform most advanced calisthenic moves, such as muscle ups, flag, planche and lever mainly.

      ***** Pick an exercise you want to achieve (for example front lever). Tomorrow after your workout do some front lever progressions to see where you are at, also barstarzz have a great video on this topic. Then you will see which part of your body in achieving front lever is the "weakest" then you focus on it and continue to do so couple times a week, giving your body enough rest. And every week you should see progress, it might not get you there in a month ( maybe it will ! ) but you will be closer to achieving front lever then you were one month before.

      BiMiHi Thanks for the info! Although, I'd like to work on everything at once. Would I just simply try out all the things I want to do, and start progressions on them at once? Possibly split them up into different exercises different days? Thanks.

    i have to say im pretty impressed. compared to all the "body builders" eternally ongoing explanation videos, ur presentations is by far the most compact, interessting and effectiv. without the use of extended self presentation with words, ur showing how to exercise the right way. plus ur devotion and simplicity is inspirational, cause i do think that pure bodybuilding is kinda pathetic.
    great stuff, great body, cute cat. be well and hf.

    Been watching your vids for a long time now, can't get enough!!! Keeps me motivated. Like that you don't take yourself too seriously, not sure if it's just me but always find something funny in them. Been doing calisthenics for just over a year now (so still a beginner) and am totally in love with it, never wanted to be massive, just toned to look like I look after myself, but in the past year I've never felt better or looked as healthy, used to weight train ( not massive weights) go to the gym, but have totally left that behind now, it wasn't nearly as much fun, still go boxing but that's it. I totally disagree with anyone that says this type of training doesn't build muscle, you can do it anywhwere and if things start to get easy you can add some free weights or switch up the exercisers. Like this guy says keep keeping on, stick with it and you'll progress and before you know it you won't recognise yourself or believe what you can do and how many times you can do it. Keep posting the vids Dominik, I can seriously see you doing big things in the future and you getting some amazing opportunities.

    I was injured by a roadside bomb back in 06’ and have had quite a lot of surgeries since then, I’m fused in 3 areas if my back.
    I all but gave up on exercise along time ago, but watching this makes me want to try it out again. Obviously not to this extent. But I can try very beginner stuff again and see where I go from there.
    Thanks for motivation.

      Pendulum9000 thanks 🙏
      Appreciate it. Yeah I’m gonna start with very basic stuff like pushups and whatnot.
      I’m not too limber so prolly a good bit of stretching would help a bit as well. My pelvis is all rebuilt as well so I’m super tight through hip abductors.
      Peace.
