Believe I went to this Race. We were coming back from vacation and Dad saw the haulers and so we followed them to they were going to the speedway so we went to the we went to the race it was really cold😊
This is why I never liked Earnhardt dirty driver Darell total cleared him and he took him out so he could win the race but wreaked his own self and made himself a fool. He did the same thing to Terry labonte at bristle after Terry passed him clean
1986 1. The Golden Girls and 227 both in its 2nd season during the 1986-1987 season on NBC. Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine in its 2nd season, moving to TNN as part of TNN's Sports Sunday. 2. Amen in its 1st season during the 1986-1987 season on NBC. Alf in its 1st season during the 1986-1987 season on NBC. 3. Pee-Wee's Playhouse premieres on CBS Saturday morning. 👍
Ken Squier (RIP sir) said it at around the 50-minute mark: if it weren't for the Jimmy Means's and J.D. McDuffie's, there'd be no NASCAR racing. Well NASCAR made it impossible for guys like that to run anymore, and now it's just billionaire playboys and dilettantes. It's basically a status symbol. Horse racing but with internal combustion engines instead of live animals and a steering wheel instead of reins.
Senior was damn lucky he didn't hurt Darrel or anyone else with that old "Dirty" dirt track trick, even many of his own fans would have turned on him if he had.
When they made Richmond to a 3/4 mile track...they save that track...because it was a ugly track just like north Wilkesboro...Martinsville set the standard for a well maintained and beautiful nascar tracks..
If we could just get that Bristol tire we had Richmond could be Saved for the Next Gen car! We could have this Again We gotta Respect and remember our Roots and get back to it
@@josephperez6706 we just need to find that sweet spot where teams are challenged. the fans get good racing. AND Goodyear isn’t shitting themselves in the PR department
when I was 13 yrs. old in 1971 my mother would drop me off at the front gate when it would open & I would take my grass cutting money & buy a G A ticket & sit up top of the bleachers
Just fined. Edit: And some of the fine was later lowered, and they put him on probation for some time I believe. NASCAR never came down hard on Dale like they should have except the 1988 Coca Cola 600.
@2:30:12 after 40 plus laps of trying, Waltrip gets under Earnhardt. Earnhardt backs up the corner for the crossover,. Waltrip, knowing Earnhardt and sensing the crossover, lingers on the brakes. That messess up Earnhardt's crossover timing. What really happened.
LOL! No. Earnhardt got mad and dumped him, he was fined and placed on probation after the race(his probation was lifted on appeal but the fine was upheld).
These were the days of real racing, no fancy destination making it just like a hometown track. Never liked Earnhardt for this exact reason, spoiled brat.
Nascar has done everything in its power to erase everything cool about Nascar. It's no wonder the sport is in bad shape with a relatively shit fan base. To go from this to Safety first races in glorified plastic, 22 inch rimmed, fuel injected, clutchless, Vinyl garbage is abhorrent.
Wow, Richmond sure looks different compared to now
I wish we could go back to this
One of the greatest NASCAR races ever and one of my all time favourites.
Geoff Bodine....the most underrated driver to sit in a race car
Geoff Bonehead 😂 he was Dale Earnhardts bich.😮😂
Was always my favorite driver. Solid and fast, just couldn’t win that much.
Thank you Nascar for the classic races. :)

Dale had a bad habit of not racing clean it's just a fact...he could have run 2nd and not stole Darrells win

@@mikeklakowicz1186 Yep. Stuff like that's what happens when they give an assshole a driver's license.
Thats why nascar sucks ass today. No more drivers with that attitude.
Totally agree. Earnhardt purposely wrecked him. Dirty driver.
The best and then there's the rest. Race, drivers, crews, cars and announcers.🎉
Really enjoyed!!! 👍🏁👍
DW definitely had the fastest car that day!
💯 the best racing.
they said all that they could keep from darrells car was the seat.
Tim Richmond was such a loss. He gave such great interviews.
That was my first Winston Cup race I was like nine

This was DW’s final season with JJ&A of course.

Earnhardt made every race exciting dont care for the new show just watch old races

That’s what I was thinking. Bristol race was fun with the wear. I think Richmond would be good too with the same tire

Pretty sure this was one of the last years of the bias ply tire.

Was Dale punished by NASCAR for that?

Some drunk guy want to fight my dad because apparently we cut him off

1986 Coca-Cola 600 ?
NASCAR made Dale Earnhardt The intimidator.
NASCAR killed Dale Earnhardt.
NASCAR SUCKS
