That is pretty standard for most kart manufacturers. They design the kart for the prototype karting body. My waist is wider so I have to make adjustments. Some have movable struts but those never seem to last.

You would think that they would ship the seat that would fit in the kart without having to bend the seat supports.

No, not directly from Birel/Art. There are some aftermarket setups for people with no control of their feet.
