Perfect! Nubie carver here - I've been wanting to try a realistic-ish owl or bird of some kind on a small scale, and this is a huge help for me. Thanks, Alec!

I can't stop watching the weather update! 🤣
on a serious note... I learned most of my carving skills from Linker. May I just say, it's a relief to see that not all carvers are as neat and clean in the process of carving? Linker is amazing, but I'm glad to see that your process isn't as neat simply because I would spend a lot of time trying to be that tidy. Looks great, Alec. Love the jokes ALWAYS. 🤣

Thanks for a project on 1”x1”x4”! This is a super common size of blanks. Always trying to find stuff at this size. 👍🏻😄

I suppose the one thing to take from the comments is that comedy is subjective. I found it to be very entertaining. It’s good to be silly! 😜

Great teaching video Alec! I like how you did the eyes. What is the size of the micro gouge you are using around the eye and defining feathers? I recently got to see a Great Horned Owl on a trip to Arizona. A crow was trying to chase it away, but it held its ground.

Dockyard tools make a fabulous set of these microtools!!! I have a 1.5mm and a 3mm. Got them in a set with v's and a micro-skew. Best gift I ever got!
