What a great idea! Thank you for sharing. This is 100p not criticism.❤ I just wanted to add that it may be easier to see the project if the surface area you're working on was a solid color. These eyes aren't what they used to be. 😅
No two will ever be the same. Even if you use all the same colours and do the same pattern. Every single bauble turns out unique. Gorgeous and unpredictable. ❤❤❤
When I used to do craft shows, those chuck it pieces were some of the most liked, go figure right? I've also learned not all the things I thought were good were well received, who knew? They're all beautiful!
Beautiful. I’m unsure if you put plain rubbing alcohol in each ornament first and do you dilute all your alcohol inks with alcohol or just the metallics?
I made this video a year ago and I don’t recall exactly what I did! I do dilute the metallics with alcohol though, and continue to do that, because the metallics are too thick for me.
What an easy fun project. You could change to colors for the seasons. How much paint vs floetrol and water do you use in your mixture? Thanks for another great idea. So would you use just Mod Podge or the paint/floetrol/water?
Great idea! When I mix my paints with Floetrol, I normally mix 1 part paint to 4 parts Floetrol, and enough water so it flows like warm honey. The water depends on the thickness of the paint, though. A heavy body paint needs more water.
I love the ornaments. But the table is a bit hard to see the things you are working on. Now i love the table to have in my craft room did you make it ? If so how
I do have a new craft table now! And here is how I made my ornament jig. is that what you mean? How I made my ornament “jig”: th-cam.com/video/pEuxyZCpXPY/w-d-xo.html
Alcohol ink will always rehydrate when another color is introduced. That’s why you have to seal it. Don’t beat yourself up. That’s how we learn. No risks. No rewards. Did you wait for the glitter ones to dry? I thought sure they’d be better then.
A straw works better with the compressed air. Please let your ink dry more, they don't dry as fast as you think. When you put the paint in, its muddying up you ink because its still wet. Word of advice, let your ornaments dry completely before hanging on a tree. Experience lol, my paint after a few days was not completely dry and the paint puddled at the bottom. So aggrivating.
It’s not a drop, cloth. This is an old canvas that I’ve used for several different ornament painting projects. It allows me to catch the drips from paint, glues, resin and other things, and hopefully make a cool drip painting.

Neither are mine, lol. Thank you for that feedback, because it helps me see what my viewers see. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for showing that alcohol inks work inside of acrylic ornaments. Just the info I was looking for!
Give it a try!

these were so fn to make!
When you unfinished using the alcohol ink you then have to seal the ink with a clear varnish spray before going in with a spray paint. Xx
Acrylic clear paint. Mix in gitter in the clear acrylic. Try that
Thanks for the tip!

So true! Maybe I should have a chuck it bucket sale, lol.
I loved this…absolutely stunning! Just curious, if you were to sell them at a craft fair, what do you think you’d charge per ornament?
$5 each. It’s a good price point in my market.
@@ACoastalMagnolia That's way underpriced. They would be $15/$20

What are you blowing in it?
Compressed air

Many paint and varnish sprays have solvents that will reactivate alcohol ink.
Yes, that’s a great point!

Sometimes these little hiccups lead to surprising discoveries! I did dry the glitter ones, but not a fan…
If you watch other videos doing the same, they don’t dry instantly. You have to give them time to dry.
yes, so true!
What is the ratio of paint and flotarlo?
1 part paint, 4 parts Floetrol
I noticed that last several videos the volume levels make it really hard to hear your voice. Love your videos...keep going!!
oh no! sorry about that. Thanks for continuing to watch though!
Ok compressed air Ty
It didn’t work as well as I hoped. a straw worked better.
There is a chemical in the spray paint that reactivates the alcohol paint.
Yep
Use more colors than the 4 u have
But I make what I like, and what sells here.

Thanks for the tip! I lost the straw and thought it would still work. It didn’t!
Your drop cloth is distracting.
