I mean don't get me wrong the PS2 is probably the pinnacle of video game home console entertainment and most titles were pretty solid BUT Black doesn't feel or act like a PS2 title. It's graphically captivating, story is well written and the game is challenging in the style of classic fps games.

I'm not sure if this is true, but they probably tricked celebs/actors to work on their films. And the most of the "jokes" from those films are just unfunny, lazy, and bloated scenes ripped straight out of some other film's trailer... without watching the whole film.
I can't help but think they gave Jaun a chainsaw because someone in the dev team was like "...the leaf blower is too racist." He even holds it like he should have a leaf blower.

Civvie, I have to tell you that I'm glad you did a video on this game. I never played the full game, only the demo back when it came out. I wasn't sure it was actually a real game. I thought it might have been a sort of fever dream or perhaps a stress induced hallucination brought on by teen angst and the need to be overly edgy. But no, now I see that it was real and the video is proof that I am not as insane as I once thought for believing that such a monstrous slap of underproduced cyber-mudbutt existed. Now I know it was real, and the world must be warned.

Also, Tips & Tricks Magazine mentioned this game in one of their issues and they mentioned it was supposed to be released on Xbox. WITH "Corkscrew Rules"? Fully translated? They sold my 8-year old brother "Bad day on L.A" AND "Postal 2"! No wonder we grew up so fucked up.

I am a 3d modeler and animator and the reason why the arms bend Like trash is because the paint weights that tells what bones move what of the model were done by someone who has no idea what to do.
4:33 Civvie says it looks like shit but this looks fine to me, or even pretty good for 2006. Am I just old? The clips here roughly comparable to Okami (2006), although admittedly somewhat inferior, and cell-shaded graphics tend to age well, so I honestly think this game looks good enough, even today. Like anything from the era, the one obvious problem to me is the low resolution and poor anti-aliasing.
You know in retrospect, I can see potential in a game about helping other people out in a disaster scenario but this game is just kinda too mean spirited in it's writing and tone to feel genuine

I like how the Mexican army are using Walker Bulldog tanks, and the touch where the gangster behind the dude with the Stinger got greased by the backblast.
This actually looks like good level stylization for a broken up city almost. Everything kinda bleeds together, but at least there’s more varied shapes and verticality besides just tall rectangles and a grid of roads.

I watched this the second time today (for some reason). This game made me recall an adventure game called Stupid Invaders (which I thought was interesting, being a child at the time and all), that had some kind of weird, similar wannabe-satirical social commentary in it, now that I think of it... Civvie, you should probably do an episode of that fabulous game. There's some cartoon violence involved so I suppose it might be worth a shot.
I remember seeing a trailer for this game on a G4 show, but I never found out the name until now. For some reason I thought it was a Boondocks game. that's what kept me playing those games. the gameplay loop is awesome. the game is at its prime when the characters are not talking.
I think the stuff the enemies say during combat is hilarious, but whenever any main character opens thier mouth it becomes a total cringe fest.

I never got the vibe that it was trying to be genuine criticism, barring maybe some early stuff. Sometimes genuine criticism might be sprinkled in, but that's not exactly the main point.

Fun fact: My brother bought this game and wouldn't let me play it, but would let me watch. And he called it "Baddalla", kinda pronounced It like Walhalla. Because we're both Russian and this game was not translated and he was 8. He was fucking 8 when he played this. And I was 7.
Did I mention that around the same time he also purchased Postal 2? WITH "Corkscrew Rules"? Fully translated? They sold my 8-year old brother "Bad day on L.A" AND "Postal 2"!

The one thing I like has to be 14:44, the attention to detail with the one guy getting hit with backblast is a good touch. That's the _one_ "joke" in this game that worked for me.

Over the years I had completely forgot this game existed until I saw you mention the game in one of your Pro Postal videos. I am a 3d modeler and animator and the reason why the arms bend Like trash is because the paint weights that tells what bones move what of the model were done by someone who has no idea what to do.
Makes sense. It seems like a pretty basic skill when animating though, even I was able to figure it out within an hour without formal training.
Also it looks like the bone is at the wrong point so you couldn't even weight it right

4:33 Civvie says it looks like shit but this looks fine to me, or even pretty good for 2006. Am I just old? The clips here roughly comparable to Okami (2006), although admittedly somewhat inferior, and cell-shaded graphics tend to age well, so I honestly think this game looks good enough, even today. Like anything from the era, the one obvious problem to me is the low resolution and poor anti-aliasing.
Gears of War, Twilight Princess, and Oblivion came out the same year, there's no excuse tbh

This actually looks like good level stylization for a broken up city almost. Everything kinda bleeds together, but at least there’s more varied shapes and verticality besides just tall rectangles and a grid of roads.
Anthony's entire character feels like a jumbled up mess of Chris Tucker quotes written by someone who has never seen anything with Chris Tucker in it.
The game may be shit, but I like the artstyle.

I watched this the second time today (for some reason). This game made me recall an adventure game called Stupid Invaders (which I thought was interesting, being a child at the time and all), that had some kind of weird, similar wannabe-satirical social commentary in it, now that I think of it... Civvie, you should probably do an episode of that fabulous game. There's some cartoon violence involved so I suppose it might be worth a shot.
Well, I'll admit that I've laughed at Huge Black Momma. Now I appreciate GTA San Andreas' cast even more.

I remember seeing a trailer for this game on a G4 show, but I never found out the name until now. For some reason I thought it was a Boondocks game. If I saw it before this video I probably would have grab it in a heartbeat due to years of built up curiosity. Thank you for playing this garbage so I wouldn't have made a massive mistake.
At least this game is in abandonware and not on freeware or Steam/GOG. That way, not a lot of people (me included) won't play it.

This is a true story: I had a dream that my brother bought a few games, and one of them was this game( which I didn't even know this game existed until i watched this video) so anyways in my dream, I told him " bro don't even play this game, I've heard it's absolutely horrible. I have a friend who has this game and he said it's probably the worst game he has ever played!" But of course my brother tried it out anyways, and he seemed to not like it, but that's all I remember from my dream.

I dunno I kinda think this game is salvageable. Certainly not the most offensively bad and least creative thing I've seen. Although I might be giving it too much slack because it's alright conceptually even if the most important part of a game is the gameplay.
