You are such delightful person to listen to even though i’m not a good cook. You just make everything so appealing and you want to attempt it all. May Almighty God bless you in all of your endeavors so that the “CRICK” never rises☺️. I read that spelling in one of your viewers comments but I to have heard it pronounced that way all my life. 🥰
My dad was from MS and he always said crick😂. Love peanut brittle. Used to make with my mom when we were younger but she can no longer have nuts so we stopped making it. I'm gonna make this 😋
I used to make peanut brittle a lot when my children were young. I didn't have a thermometer so I would drop the candy mixture in ice water. When it would harden after it's dropped in the water, I knew that it was ready for the peanuts and almost done.
Love that "good Lord willing and the creek don't rise....." I'm from south Mississippi my dad was a diesel mechanic, welder, and a farmer, So definitely have been around some country stuff and my dad used to say that so much. Thanks for unlocking that good memory.
My husband’s grandfather used to share peanut brittle with him as a child. I’ve tried to find peanut brittle for him from our local candy shops as a Christmas gift with no luck. Thank you for teaching me how to make it myself. It will a really special gift for him this Christmas. ❤
I've been afraid to make peanut brittle for over 50 years! After watching this video, I need to go to the store for peanuts; want to make it tomorrow!!! Thank you for the needed encouragement, Ms. Pam. God bless you.
My high school chemistry teacher used peanut brittle for a science experiment on the last class before Christmas vacation. I still remember that after 50 years.
Thanks Pam! That brings back great memories when, every fall-winter, Mom would allow my brother amd I to help her make candy, cookies, banana bread, and fruit cakes. We would then help her put these in trays, wrap with plastic wrap, ribbon and bow and give them out to friends and family for Christmas. It's just what we did back then instead of spending lots of money in stores. Besides, although there weren't a lot of left overs, there are many memories that will last much longer. ❤
Yes when I pour my brittle, I have learned the difference in not spreading at all, just shifting the pan some which gives you a brittle that is not flat and hard/glass-like.
Yes peanut brittle, I still to this day keep some regularly in my home. Growing up mamaw had some always as did my mom. You bring back so many good memories with your classic recipes.
I am going to agree with 👇, you, Pam, have been a joy to listen to, and watch. Thank you very much, you are absolutely beautiful, looking forward to look through your recipes, because I, LOVE to cook!! And I am always looking for amazing recipes! I pray THE LORD be with you, always
My first attempt got a little dark, forgot to add the butter. And I believe the thermometer that I have is a hindrance. I like what you have. I think I got a little impatient, and got it too hot to quick. However, I will do it again.
I've never had peanut brittle before but it looks like such an addictive snack! Nice and sweet and love the crunchiness! Totally wanna try it out, I'm all for it! Good instructions Pam!
Pam honestly the last time I had some peanut brittle I was around 10 years old so a very very long time ago I honestly didn’t realise how easy it is to make I will have to make some to reminisce over lol have a blessed day my friend
You’re such a delightful person! I always thought peanut brittle was super hard to make, but you make it look so easy! I’m going to try it myself now :) Thanks for giving me the confidence I needed!
Wow I love peanut Brittle so much. It so so good. And now I know how to make it myself thanks to you. I will try to make it one of these days with this recipe. Cuz it really does look easy. If it is man o man am I gonna make a lot well at least enough for a few weeks lol I know my grandpa would love some of this he’s the one that got me into peanut brittle lol 😂❤
This was a good video! Been thinking of making peanut brittle and selling to my friends and my coworkers for some extra money, and maybe even make it a business to supplement my full time job!
This looks delicious and it’s one of my favorite candies. Is this recipe greasy? I have made several peanut brittle recipes and they always seems to come out greasy to the touch. I will have to try this recipe. Thank for the video.
❤ I made it your way and I also made it my own way my own way is in a medium saucepan combine 1 cup of butter 1 cup of sugar a half of a teaspoon of vanilla and a quarter of a teaspoon of salt over medium heat until it becomes an almond butter brown looking color and cook it for about 10 to 15 minutes and then you add your pecans and then you can add your pecans which I do a cup of pecans which is probably too much but I like a lot of pecans I add chocolate to the top of it because I like mine to be more of a like a bark I've also made it into candy bars and I've also made it into turtles both recipes are very good the only difference is is that I like to add 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar because I like to make sure that it's going to turn brown and then I also add in one extra stick of butter
Aawwww thank you so much! And Welcome to Pam’s Place. Enjoy the channel for more great recipes! 🍿Any questions, just ask. Thank you so much for your support! ❤️

Thanks for sharing. I don’t have any corn syrup. I rarely purchase it. Do you have a substitute for corn syrup?😊
I am making this right now, I don't have raw nuts, so I have to use walnuts and pecans. Hopefully this is good!

Yo momma’s so nice, I subscribed to her TH-cam channel.
Hello this is a nice easy recipe. Have a question could I add vanilla or Almond extract for flavor? And could I add Cian pepper for spice?

Is pure cane sugar an option instead of granulated sugar?
Great video ( as usual ) but perhaps a bit of advice for us highlanders --.5,300 ft.
Yummy👍❤️😊
Thanks Susette
❤❤❤
I was just curious what the addition of baking soda does for this recipe
what is the alternative if there is no corn syrup?

Alright now! Thanks guys! Much appreciated’
I would LOVE to try this but I’m worried my teeth won’t make it lol! This looks so good
could you use margarine instead of butter?
I haven’t but you probably can
Hi Pam!
Have you ever added honey to the brittle
I put a teaspoon of vanilla in mine
Yes! Another great addition!! Thank you so much for your support
No corn syrup where I live. With what can it be replaced?
Rice syrup or make your own syrup by combining sugar with water on stove.
@@ironpizza5150 Thanks. I'll do the latter.
