BLACK SCREEN? The above video is Great if your Firestick is working mine showed a completely black screen. Nothing on my TV screen just a black screen. This meant that much as I wanted to I couldn't Follow the steps suggested in the video content above. I ended up simply unplugging my firestick, waited one minute and turned it back on again to find it was all up and running again. The Black screen was gone and everything is working again. "Happy days😅" I hope this even more simple fix helps even more people 👍

Well, my firestick is completely unresponsive and I was hoping this video would show how to factory reset from the remote. I can’t even get into the firestick and have a “no signal” on Tv screen. Yes, I’ve tried all the change adapters, change cables, unplug Tv and press the Tv on/off for 30 seconds, etc. I guess it’s just dead.
Although I accept this article is well-intentioned and has clearly helped lots of people having problems with their device, for me, with a device that simply says "The Home screen isn't available", it effectively translates into English as "Access the menu system you can't access and select one of the options you can't access from the menu you can't access" :(
@Lionel e king the remote would not respond to nothing. Zero, zilch. I unplugged and plugged it back in, and still got no response. I eventually just unplugged the dang thing and used one from another bedroom.

Wait a minute or two to see if it worked. Repeat. I just got the White Fire logo or White Fire then color Fire logo, followed by a black screen. Mine came up with "Loading" on the screen on the fourth try. I had come so close to giving up, but something told me to try again. It is likely that this includes steps that are unnecessary, but it is what worked for me. Hopefully I don't have the opportunity to figure out a faster method. I hope this works for others.

I now have 3 Firesticks that will not start up. Fire TV logo just stays on screen forever. All 3 are older (no power button). One (occasionally) does start up, but when I try to open apps, it kicks me out to home screen. I tried to reset to factory seetings. Got a message that the stick would power off/back on, but it just froze. Weird how 2 of the 3 sat idle for months (one in an outdoor screened proch), but the 3rd one was my go-to on the main TV. Should I chalk it up to "old Firesticks are no longer supported"? Kinda stinks
My firestick is literally stuck on boot. It either does not turn on, or boots with the splash screen, and just sits there,quite literally forever. I left it on for over a week once just to make sure. It never went to the main menu.

Mine stopped working 2 days ago cannot even get to main menu unplugged over night and still on fire tv logo. All methods to reboot failed. It's only a couple years old, so mad
How do you access reset mode if you can't use your FireTV? I cannot access the screen on my TV as the screen/system is stuck in loading mode (?) and I cannot access it on my phone via the app because it does not detect a FireStick nearby. Please help!!

My firestick turns on but the remote won’t move anything. Every time I press the remote, it makes noise like it’s moving through channels but nothing is moving on the screen. I can’t even get to the setting button.
What's the problem if all you get is the Firetv and smile logo. Nothing loads but that logo and a black screen. Everything looks fine and the same as the day before. Should I just order a new firestick or is there a way to breathe new life into my stick?

This ain’t covering if my fire stick won’t work at all. I can’t do any of these options because my remote won’t work for me to go into any of these settings, but it’s detecting the remote when I take my batteries out of it
One of my firesticks won’t even boot. I tested the power adapter, and it’s good giving out 5v. I tested the HDMI cable, it’s fine. I tested the HDMI extension cable, it’s fine too. It’s now down to the firestick itself, but don’t know how to make it boot so I can restart, de-register, or even reset it to factory default. I guess Amazon put a self destruct mechanism so it won’t last that long. Sad. 😩
I had an issue with my Firestick and their Silk browser after deleting it…. After cleaning up my files I couldn’t reinstall… Getting a Popup to update my device… It was on the latest update… I contacted Amazon and they told me just to do a factory reset…. So I just bought my first firestick. The remote is paired to the TV and it controls everything except it won't power the tv on or off. Any suggestions on how to get this to work?
When the fire stick is turned on it immediately goes to the sign-in page since I already have an account but the remote will not respond to fill in the info. Yes I have checked the batteries and I have two fire sticks and neither one of them will work and are both stuck in this mode. Was there an update or something that suddenly made both units not work ? Everything I've read so far tells me to do things that are not an option when it is stuck as it is now.

You don't explain how to get the remote and firestick working if there has been a complete reset. I bought a firestick from my friend who did the reset and I can't seem to get it to pair or to work. Press back with arrow sign and right on the circle pad at the same time for 10 to 15 sec. It will reboot back to original settings. Hope that helps anyone having same issue with mine settings wont even pull up
I keep getting the same message - home not available - nearly every day. I go in, clear the cache of my apps and then it’s available. The fire stick is only using 1.48 GB of 5.33 GB available. So, this makes no sense to me. It’s annoying to have to clear the cache of every app (we don’t have that many!) so frequently. Any tips?

my issue is not enough storage available i remove apps to free up space i had 900 mb after removing apps. the problem is when i go to install a new app that is 80 mb in size, i still get not enough storage message very confusing when i know i have enough available space ? this all come into affect when my fire tv updated the fire os. now my adb shell commands dont work no more to expand my storage. i wonder if i do a factory reset will the os revert back to old fire os that works with shell commands.
I have 2 firesticks that my little cousin has locked up. First on one single app he turns the Bluetooth off and the wifi. Now it's a paper weight because its impossible to connect any remote, to the device to turn the Bluetooth settings back on, and he turned the wifi off on that same app next trying to fix it so now any smart phone fire app can not connect to it either. I talked to 3 different people from Amazon customer service until they would give up and pass me of to someone. And I would explain everything over again. Please if you could possibly help that would be great. Until then when he comes to visit he has to wear oven mitts and not touch the television again SMH.. PROBABLY wouldn't hurt to duck tape them on sure🤔
Mine wasn't connecting to internet, becs I had to reset wifi router. Went into settings-my fire tv-restart. Now, I just get the Amazon logo on there, can't even get to homepage. Did everything else, still just the logo. Idk what else to do.

How am I supposed to restart my Firestick if the remote doesn’t work

Well, my firestick is completely unresponsive and I was hoping this video would show how to factory reset from the remote. I can’t even get into the firestick and have a “no signal” on Tv screen. Yes, I’ve tried all the change adapters, change cables, unplug Tv and press the Tv on/off for 30 seconds, etc. I guess it’s just dead.

Although I accept this article is well-intentioned and has clearly helped lots of people having problems with their device, for me, with a device that simply says "The Home screen isn't available", it effectively translates into English as "Access the menu system you can't access and select one of the options you can't access from the menu you can't access" :(
I get this message sometimes and it’s always a network or Wi-Fi issue.
What if it’s not even loading? Tried unplugging and till won’t load. Stuck on loading screen.

@Lionel e king the remote would not respond to nothing. Zero, zilch. I unplugged and plugged it back in, and still got no response. I eventually just unplugged the dang thing and used one from another bedroom.

Mine was black screen, occasionally, i would catch the logo flash up before going black. This worked for me:
Unplug it for a minute both from power and HDMI, plug it back in, push the Select and Play/Pause buttons until the Fire logo flashes up (about fifteen seconds). Wait a minute or two to see if it worked. Repeat. I just got the White Fire logo or White Fire then color Fire logo, followed by a black screen. Mine came up with "Loading" on the screen on the fourth try. I had come so close to giving up, but something told me to try again. It is likely that this includes steps that are unnecessary, but it is what worked for me. Hopefully I don't have the opportunity to figure out a faster method. I hope this works for others.

What is the select button? Need to be more clear here.
@@BestMoneySavingApps it's called the hamburger button which is the big center button you push to select anything on the tv. Also why they said "select" button.

I now have 3 Firesticks that will not start up. Fire TV logo just stays on screen forever. All 3 are older (no power button). One (occasionally) does start up, but when I try to open apps, it kicks me out to home screen. I tried to reset to factory seetings. Got a message that the stick would power off/back on, but it just froze. Weird how 2 of the 3 sat idle for months (one in an outdoor screened proch), but the 3rd one was my go-to on the main TV. Should I chalk it up to "old Firesticks are no longer supported"? Kinda stinks

My firestick is literally stuck on boot. It either does not turn on, or boots with the splash screen, and just sits there,quite literally forever. I left it on for over a week once just to make sure. It never went to the main menu.

Mine stopped working 2 days ago cannot even get to main menu unplugged over night and still on fire tv logo. All methods to reboot failed. It's only a couple years old, so mad
How the h*** can you do that when the remote is not working.
How do you access reset mode if you can't use your FireTV? I cannot access the screen on my TV as the screen/system is stuck in loading mode (?) and I cannot access it on my phone via the app because it does not detect a FireStick nearby. Please help!!

Bought the latest Fire stick and installed. Works fine now. Tired if messing with the older ines. So, if you're still having issues, just buy the newest version. Good luck 🤞😃

Ok how do you reset the stick by the remote if the stick will only show a Blue Screen or it says no video signal? All wires are connected correctly, I've unplugged it too?

My firestick turns on but the remote won’t move anything. Every time I press the remote, it makes noise like it’s moving through channels but nothing is moving on the screen. I can’t even get to the setting button.
What's the problem if all you get is the Firetv and smile logo. Nothing loads but that logo and a black screen. Everything looks fine and the same as the day before. Should I just order a new firestick or is there a way to breathe new life into my stick?

This ain’t covering if my fire stick won’t work at all. I can’t do any of these options because my remote won’t work for me to go into any of these settings, but it’s detecting the remote when I take my batteries out of it

One of my firesticks won’t even boot. I tested the power adapter, and it’s good giving out 5v. I tested the HDMI cable, it’s fine. I tested the HDMI extension cable, it’s fine too. It’s now down to the firestick itself, but don’t know how to make it boot so I can restart, de-register, or even reset it to factory default. I guess Amazon put a self destruct mechanism so it won’t last that long. Sad. 😩

Dont turn it off, just put tv on firestick then put fs to sleep, screen goes black but it’s on when you push remote. It will always be ready for you…

Everything I've read so far tells me to do things that are not an option when it is stuck as it is now.
I had a dead fire stick. I unplugged the connection from the wall, waited a few seconds , put it back and got the stick working again.

You don't explain how to get the remote and firestick working if there has been a complete reset. I bought a firestick from my friend who did the reset and I can't seem to get it to pair or to work. I keep getting the same message - home not available - nearly every day. I go in, clear the cache of my apps and then it’s available. The fire stick is only using 1.48 GB of 5.33 GB available. So, this makes no sense to me. It’s annoying to have to clear the cache of every app (we don’t have that many!) so frequently. Any tips?

my issue is not enough storage available i remove apps to free up space i had 900 mb after removing apps. the problem is when i go to install a new app that is 80 mb in size, i still get not enough storage message very confusing when i know i have enough available space ?
this all come into affect when my fire tv updated the fire os. now my adb shell commands dont work no more to expand my storage. i wonder if i do a factory reset will the os revert back to old fire os that works with shell commands.
I have 2 firesticks that my little cousin has locked up. First on one single app he turns the Bluetooth off and the wifi. Now it's a paper weight because its impossible to connect any remote, to the device to turn the Bluetooth settings back on, and he turned the wifi off on that same app next trying to fix it so now any smart phone fire app can not connect to it either. I talked to 3 different people from Amazon customer service until they would give up and pass me of to someone. And I would explain everything over again. Please if you could possibly help that would be great. Until then when he comes to visit he has to wear oven mitts and not touch the television again SMH.. PROBABLY wouldn't hurt to duck tape them on sure🤔
Mine wasn't connecting to internet, becs I had to reset wifi router. Went into settings-my fire tv-restart. Now, I just get the Amazon logo on there, can't even get to homepage. Did everything else, still just the logo. Idk what else to do.
