this young lady know what's she's talking about, I'm glad I came across this video. I was able to fix my problem. In my particular case, the reason was that stick was too hot because I use it on a plasma TV and they have the tendency of getting kinda hot. Thank you!!!
On mine too, I did a bunch a troubleshooting tried different fharging adapters, and cables. Found out it was the not original cable, the original has indentations on both connectors. For troubleshooting purposes I connected cable to my phone and ran the ampere app. It showed the faulty cable charge only at 800 mA and the good original charged at 1300 mA.

Thank you for this "boot loop fixed" video!! I had tried almost all of the tricks, but checking the parts and TV ports worked! It was either the Amazon adapter that came with our 4K Fire stick or the TV HDMI port we were using or both. Either way it is now working! Great video!

Another great video from T. Only thing that worked for me was getting a 4k Max. I gave up on the standard 4k model after 3 faulty units in a row! If its less than a year Amazon should replace the unit itself at the very least. I had the credit for a full price one put back in my account then i spent the extra £5. That was even though i bought it half price during black Friday. Theres apparently LOADS of dodgy sticks around guys so beware if none of these great tips work you probably have one!
My friend has a problem with his Fire stick it doesn’t boot at all just a black screen - I have tried it in my tv using all my wires and HDMI that didn’t work either. Plugged mine back in and it does work so I know there’s no issue with the ports/cables. Any idea what it could be or how to fix it please? Thanks

I've noticed that mine seems to do this only when my fiestick only has less than 1 gb left. They sure don't give you much room! Now I have to delete most apps. I only keep a few that I regularly watch... then reinstall one if i want to watch a particular show. Since I have youtube, Netflix & Hulu already built into my TV, I don't put them on my firestick. I make sure to always have at least 2gb left. Plus, clearing each apps cache helps too.

Mine has just done this to me started acting up 2 weeks ago but today it’s not working at all / been unplugging - rebooting my router/ it’s about 2 years old…… I assumed it would last longer…… I’m using the items that came in the box. Hello, I recently purchased an OTG cable, as well as a wired keyboard, and attempted to get it into safe mode, however, I know it isn't recognizing the keyboard, because when I press the caps lock button, nothing happens, however, when plugged directly into my MacBook Pro, it worked, and I also tried to see if it would work plugging it into the USB port on my tv, but it wouldn't work that way either. Is there something I could be doing wrong?

Thanks for replying I did respond but for some reason it's not showing, I have tried all the unplugging etc. but it's still stuck on the solid blue light, stays on for a short time then goes out, then it comes back on repeat, (there's also a light blueish coloured light sweeps from side to side in the background of the solid light) It's been unplugged for days, plugged it in and back to the same as above. I have tried a factory reset using buttons on the cube but nothing happens, and it's still just the fire tv logo on screen, so possibly it's for the skip. It's around £130 for a new one, decided to set up an old fire stick instead. /Basically it's like it's totally Frozen. Cheers Andy

I'm trying to fix a friends stick but the key board wont stay powered long enough for me to input to key strokes, (it does power on for around 5 seconds though as its led so i can see). the keyboard is fine as it works and powers normally when i use it with my own stick, baffled why its not staying powered on. Is your friend's Firestick powered by a USB port on the back of their TV? If so, it probably isn't providing enough power. You would need to use the power adapter.
Ok, "BACK BUTTON" and "DIRECTION RIGHT" didn't work for 10seconds, but held it for 20 seconds and now I have FIRETV logo on screen and animation, so I am wondering if it is updating itself now as it appears to be in boot loop on load screen. Will give it half hour n report back .. lol

Hi, had an issue with this, my Fire Stick was booting up to the homescreen and then rebooting on a loop. Initially I tried disconnecting everything and then reconnected after about 15 minutes which did help for a while but then it started looping again. I then changed the power supply to the original Amazon charger and USB cable. Everything seems to be working correctly again now. Thanks for advice 😁👍

Hello there hope you're having a great day. I have a problem with my fire tv, it is on the bootup screen but nothing seemed to work trying to get it into the home screen or at least finishing up the booting. I've contacted Amazon and Toshiba and they gave me steps to try and solve the problem but everything failed, and of course, my warranty ran out The remote control's LED flashes whenever I push the buttons signaling that there is no connection but the power button only works. Pls help it will be much appreciated.
I removed the prolonging cable and the otg adapter and it's not entering into boot loop anymore. It must have been an issue with the cable or otg not providing enough power.
I have a 2nd generation firestick and I've tried everything to no avail. I changed hdmi ports, tried different USB cables, used power cable, unplugged and waited, plugged directly into port without extender, left it plugged in for days, plugged it into a different TV and still nothing works. Hello, my Fire TV 4K Max device is stuck on the logo at startup. I've done this many times but it doesn't work. When restarting with the keyboard, will Caps Lock be active or disabled?
My problem is when I power it on, the screen will boot up and show all of my applications, but when I click on an application, it’ll just take me back to the Home Screen. If I wait too long the screen will go black and say “There was an error that prevented this from loading.” I’ve done everything on the video except for factory resetting it and I just emailed Amazon, I’m not sure what else to do, I may just buy a new one but if there is something else, please let me know, thank you

While I'm not exactly sure, it's possible that using a wired keyboard could give you better results. I haven't tried it with a wireless keyboard, so I can't say for sure.
I have tried the keyboard method with no results. The Firestick won't go into safe mode and is stuck at the Firestick logo. I'm using a wireless keyboard with the USB dongle plugged into OTG cable, power in and power out to the Firestick. Do I need to be using a wired keyboard? Thanks in advance...you're instructional videos are invaluable!
While I'm not exactly sure, it's possible that using a wired keyboard could give you better results. I haven't tried it with a wireless keyboard, so I can't say for sure.

I've had my Amazon FireTV for several years. I was watching Hulu last night, and my screen froze mid-broadcast. It remained frozen all night. I was tired of looking at the frozen image, so I closed my entertainment center so that I wouldn't have to continue looking at the frozen image. This morning, I opened up my entertainment center and the screen was no longer frozen, but it was just black/blank. I tried pressing and holding down buttons on the remote control, but the screen remained blank. My entertainment center has two power outlets, one on top of the other. The power cord was plugged into the top outlet, and it has always been plugged into that outlet since I've owned the tv. I unplugged the power cord from the top outlet and plugged it into the bottom outlet. VOILA! That did the trick! The tv powered up and I was able to select channels and watch tv again!
Shuts off by itself and i have to restart by unplugging from outlet to restart it. It keeps doing it over and over 4K firestick TV connected with wire, not WiFi
i tried everything - unpliuged overnight - booted to homescreen then restarted itself now still stuck on firetv logo -- tried safemode (mute and minus buttons) -- loaded but then crashed and then eventually restarted -- tried factory reset... now in a bootloop that never ends... cant even get anything.. "resetting your firetv cube".. "the system update had failed" "resetting firetv cube" "the system update has failed" ... been that for days now.. amazon dont seem to care
amazon told me to do a factory reset -- and NOW they say "as you reset it deactivated it off your account, so we cannot send you a replacement device" (yet its only 3 months old!)
Same scenario here until 1 day it won't open anymore. I don't know why, something hanging up for no reason. Last time was my son playing a high graphic game using my fire tv stick 4k that he downloaded and then all of the sudden hanging up or no response in the hdmi port.
Tried everything except the keyboard method since I don't have the parts handy. Tried a usb wireless mouse to see if it was recognized. That didn't work. I think this is for for the trash. Remote isn't paired. I can't pair it. Since it's looping it then eventually freezes on the no homescreen message. Won't respond to the factory reset combo either.
what fixed for me what connecting the stick to a dedicated power supply instead of using the USB on the tv. I guess this doesn't give out enough power.

Hi, sorry you are having issues. Did you try entering the keys as demonstrated in the video to get into safe mode or did you only try the caps button?

I tried a factory reset with the remote but it won't respond to the command either I think it's just fried.
As also mentioned as a tip in the video, have you tried talking to Amazon?
Short of talking to Amazon, I also tried everything and no luck

Hello, my Fire TV 4K Max device is stuck on the logo at startup. I've done this many times but it doesn't work. When restarting with the keyboard, will Caps Lock be active or disabled?

My problem is when I power it on, the screen will boot up and show all of my applications, but when I click on an application, it’ll just take me back to the Home Screen. If I wait too long the screen will go black and say “There was an error that prevented this from loading.” I’ve done everything on the video except for factory resetting it and I just emailed Amazon, I’m not sure what else to do, I may just buy a new one but if there is something else, please let me know, thank you

When i plug it into my 4k tv and yes i do have a 4k firestick, the tv screen becomes orange!!!
I had my tv for less then 2months so my tv is new.
I also called Amazon and they sent me a new 4k stick and i am still getting that orange screen.
The company of the tv they came to my place and they couldn't figure out what was the problem.

No luck so far, I was wondering does have to be a wired keyboard I tried with a usb one no luck, not giving up though!
While I'm not exactly sure, it's possible that using a wired keyboard could give you better results. I haven't tried it with a wireless keyboard, so I can't say for sure.
I have tried the keyboard method with no results. The Firestick won't go into safe mode and is stuck at the Firestick logo. I'm using a wireless keyboard with the USB dongle plugged into OTG cable, power in and power out to the Firestick. Do I need to be using a wired keyboard? Thanks in advance...you're instructional videos are invaluable!

@@FireTVSticks Thanks, Tanya! My grandson is loaning me a spare USB wired keyboard today so we'll soon find out if that is the problem. If that doesn't work I'm through with this defective hunk of plastic...hahaha! I'll let you and the page know how it goes.
Back to the drawing board. Wired USB keyboard didn't work.
I've had my Amazon FireTV for several years. I was watching Hulu last night, and my screen froze mid-broadcast. It remained frozen all night. I was tired of looking at the frozen image, so I closed my entertainment center so that I wouldn't have to continue looking at the frozen image.
This morning, I opened up my entertainment center and the screen was no longer frozen, but it was just black/blank. I tried pressing and holding down buttons on the remote control, but the screen remained blank.
My entertainment center has two power outlets, one on top of the other. The power cord was plugged into the top outlet, and it has always been plugged into that outlet since I've owned the tv. I unplugged the power cord from the top outlet and plugged it into the bottom outlet. VOILA! That did the trick! The tv powered up and I was able to select channels and watch tv again!
This worked I tried everything
Shuts off by itself and i have to restart by unplugging from outlet to restart it. It keeps doing it over and over 4K firestick TV connected with wire, not WiFi

i tried everything - unpliuged overnight - booted to homescreen then restarted itself now still stuck on firetv logo -- tried safemode (mute and minus buttons) -- loaded but then crashed and then eventually restarted -- tried factory reset... now in a bootloop that never ends... cant even get anything.. "resetting your firetv cube".. "the system update had failed" "resetting firetv cube" "the system update has failed" ... been that for days now.. amazon dont seem to care
amazon told me to do a factory reset -- and NOW they say "as you reset it deactivated it off your account, so we cannot send you a replacement device" (yet its only 3 months old!)

Same scenario here until 1 day it won't open anymore. I don't know why, something hanging up for no reason. Last time was my son playing a high graphic game using my fire tv stick 4k that he downloaded and then all of the sudden hanging up or no response in the hdmi port.
Mine loads and while In the loading screen freezes, and then restarts and does the same process over and over again
Tried everything except the keyboard method since I don't have the parts handy. Tried a usb wireless mouse to see if it was recognized. That didn't work. I think this is for for the trash. Remote isn't paired. I can't pair it. Since it's looping it then eventually freezes on the no homescreen message. Won't respond to the factory reset combo either.
what fixed for me what connecting the stick to a dedicated power supply instead of using the USB on the tv. I guess this doesn't give out enough power.
Hey, great videos as always - question for you - I live in UK and have a USA Aptment I have a USA DirectV account back in the USA and want to log in to it in the UK on my firestick when im in the UK but I cant find a Directv app anywhere that will work on my firestick - Do you know where I can download one please that works. thank you

However, even if you are successful in installing the DirecTV app, you may not be able to view the content as it is restricted to viewers in the USA. In that case, you may need Nord VPN to bypass any geographical restrictions - nordvpn.com/firetvsticks

So long as you are powering it the same way, it could be an issue with the HDMI ports on your TV or you may need to adjust the screen resolution.
