I wish they would be sold in europe too. I know those kei cars are designed for crowded cities, so europe would be a perfect marked for it. I guess ther emight be some security standards that they don't meet due to size? Our tiny cars are rather bulky because of regulations.
it's because of A: parts regulations, they wouldn't sell amazingly so it's not that economically feasible to take them over and supply the parts for repairs, and B: because they are so small and have no crumple zones, they don't meet a lot of the safety ratings for the higher average speed driving in the US, (whereas the do in Japan because the average speed is slower). I do wish they would leave Japan more often though, I love the compact feel and look of the keijidosha

I used to own one of these here in japan there good but i bought a honda civic and sent it to spoon to get a turbo and to do some other stuff but choose to keep it stock fot body kit anyways fuel is not that big of a deal as i dont drave to much since im close enough to work that i can jist take a train

It not kicks in the way you mean. The engine is generally always working with it. So it does the job the major part of the time.

でも新型N-BOXは燃費を重視したらしく従来のN-BOXほど早くはないんですよ
試乗したらわかりますし、ホンダ社員の方も言ってました。
自分は9月上旬に旧型と新型を乗り較べて新型を購入した時、明らかに新型がGo
and stop(特に立ち上がり)が良かったので新型を購入
新型が早い理由は車重の軽量化から来るパワーウェイトレシオ。馬力規制があり、しかも最大トルクも同じエンジンならボディは軽い方が立ち上がりはいい理屈は解る?
君が言う『早い』というのが100km~の再加速を言っているのなら話は分かる。
が、もし一般道での加減速の『立ち上がり』を言っているのなら最大トルクがせいぜい10k程度の非力な軽自動車エンジンでは車重-50kgは体感できる。(カスタムターボ比)

Takeshi Maeda 旧型ターボ車に現在乗ってるし、試乗もしたし確かに軽くなってるのはわかるよ
ただ個人的に踏み込んだ時のGのかかり方は旧型の方がしっかりくるし加速感がある
