My favorite part, when you say " I should really learn what that says" on the tape measure. Like that light alot. Thanks for posting

bore the holes first in a wider 2x4. Then rip the board thinner to the width you like with a table saw

Hi I'm new to your channel. What a great project!! I have one of those old lights still in my bathroom from the 90's! LOL I'm actually looking for a way to update that fixture and reuse in my bathroom. I'm glad I found your channel. I can't wait to see more of your projects. We love hands on projects! God Bless and stay safe!

Reading this in 2022…I took a similar light in my bathroom, I spray painted it in hammered black, completely different fixture! I used those industrial pipe shelf supports and painted the same color. It looks really good. Plus no wall repair!

I would get a old extension cord and cut the end off and wire it up to plug in for now to use. Because it is to beautiful to just sit there not lit up. Absolutely amazing. Love it now on the hunt for a light so i can make one. Thank you for sharing love ur channel.

Yes! That might have to be the option for now as we will be stuck in our homes for a while longer. Thank you so much for your support!

Did you ever get an electrician to install the wires of the dining room light?

Haha! So funny, the kid in the end promoting her own channel 😂
    Great diy! Bragging right, absolutely!
Question 1- would it have save some time if you had cut the original metal where the light came on and attached it with screws to the wood? I have no idea how to cut the thin metal sheet, so I don’t know if that’s hard/easy.
Question 2- how was the electric installation part?
