So sorry girl I totally forgot to put it in the video when I was editing! I'll make a post and include the resources!! What other things do you want to know about being a new tech?

Hi! I was wondering if you had to do a peer interview when you got hired? I was an ER tech 7 years ago and then left due to personal issues. But now I am ready to go back and actually have the peer interview coming up. I feel like as I've gotten older I've become more socially awkward, so I don't want to make a complete fool of myself. A little bit is ok lol. I'm just curious what kind of questions they could ask. It could be anything I'm sure. I'm just a tad nervous, and you know human nature...we all want to be liked and accepted a tad :) Thank you!

I actually didn’t have a peer interview l. I was just interviewed by supervisors and managers. My best interview tips are to no be afraid to talk about yourself! You’re there for them to get to know you so don’t be afraid to talk yourself up. I would be prepared for questions like why did you leave your last job and why do you specifically want to work in the ER. Hope this helps! And good luck in your interview you got it 😉

I looked on Indeed when I switched hospitals and they usually have people discuss the exact hiring process for your organization, with questions and situations they experienced. Very helpful!

@@melvance224 this is a great tip!

I ended up looking on indeed as well, definitely gave some of the basic questions, and then more of the situational questions. I had my peer interview two weeks ago, and it was pretty relaxed. They had a folder with a list of questions pertaining to work experiences, and mention a time when so-and-so happened at work and things like that. It wasn’t as nerve wracking as I was expecting it to be LOL. Of course we all want to be liked by our potential peers. But, I got the job! So I must’ve done something, right 😁
