We did this our younger days too, But here in Australia , NSW, if the police pull you over and see that you will get booked for safety reasons as a stranger driving your car will not know what the gears are, Talk about shit ideas, fancy getting a defect for this, supose it helps the car thief to get away faster by not having to learn the gear pattern.
