Beginner with towable backhoe digging for a sidewalk: attached and detached. Clearly NOT a tutorial!

  • This is the Nortrac Towable Backhoe that I unboxed and assembled in a previous LONG video. I'm sure there will be more videos to come with it...I have the ripper claw, larger bucket with digging teeth, and rock claw to use when opportunities arise, also.

When you dig hooked to your truck leave the trans in neutral and use the parking brake do not mess up your transmission.

Sounds like good advice, thanks! First, I need to fix the e-brake! 🤔

Master using the bucket. All about the curl. Takes time.

Yes! I ran a hydraulic excavator years ago, but only for about a month...that skill is beyond rusty! Also, I may need to adjust the sensitivity of the hydraulics...just moving the boom was tricky to make it smooth. Thanks for the encouragement!!

@@Mr.Handy-ish for sure. That HF model was my first. Overloaded easily when affixed as it was with your truck. Upgrading the hydo pump to operate 2 functions at once made all tasks easier and more pleasant. Have larger equipment now, but that was my biggest "bang for buck" purchase I've made to date. Took care of mine and used it appropriately. Lased me many years. Enjoy!

Can't let that stop the learning...and I don't mind people seeing me struggle with things. The learning curve is part of the fun! Thanks for watching...even if it was tough to watch 🤣
