    Another great video!
Interestingly I think my story with lyrics is the reverse of yours.
For a while I used to actually avoid music with lyrics or vocals, because I actually found it much easier to find my own emotional space within them. There were no lyrics providing a narrative context for the instrumentation besides maybe a title, so I could kind of personalize the composition more, which I found a lot more cathartic than trying to find reflections of my own experiences in someone else's words.
I was a lot younger then and had a lot less empathy or proper real world experience, and nowadays I'm actively looking to hear other people's stories, it's probably why I've come to like rap and hip hop as much as I do. I think different styles put a lot more emphasis on their lyric writing than others. For example I go and listen to folk and country sometimes exclusively for the lyrics, because storytelling is a huge part of those genres, but on the flip side, I don't think I'm ever going to be reading along to the lyrics of a Devourment song haha.
Sorry for the ramble, you just got me thinking haha.
P.s Totally in favour of the drill beat being your outro ;)

      Thanks! I appreciate it.
That makes so much sense to me actually. I was never that person obviously, but I can absolutely see how that could be.
Yes definitely! I love country and folk for that too, and even hiphop, when the lyrics are authentic and sincere, rather than just persona. Haha! Yeah with some of that death metal stuff I don't know why they even bother. Or, I guess it's part comedy. I enjoy the lyrics to Bloodbath's Eaten, for that reason.
Sweet! I might stick with it for a while! Haha. I like it too.
And thanks for the comments. It's always nice to read well formulated and thought out comments. It means a lot! Have a great day and I hope I see you in the next one as well.

I am struggling a lot with vocals and writing lyrics, but this might have opened the door a bit to try... Thanks!

I tend to only take attention to the lyrics after a few listens. I think the instrumental is way more important to me to make an impact. But at the same time if the lyrics are terrible I just can't connect with a song.
I tend to give my own meanings to lines and lyrics of songs I love and not search too much about their meaning. But if the lyrics are just ok-ish I can still connect with a good song.
Maybe that's the reason why I'm so bad and slow with lyrics 😂
Of course my favorite songs are a combination of good meaningful lyrics with instrumental.
    Really enjoyed the video!

Tiago! Good to see you! Haha yes I'm the same if the lyrics are awful. Or if the lyrics are just gross and horrible, then the music doesn't matter.
Unless they are purposely bad to be funny of course.
Haha! Well, lyrics can be very slow and difficult for me too. Especially if I have a certain feeling I'm going for but can't find the words to convey. Then the lyrics ruin it more than they help.
Thanks! Happy to hear it! Hope all is good with you!
