    This is fantastic! I've been struggling since I got my LT a month ago to get these types of tones. I agree with previous comment that this is far better than most for sale presets. Now I just have to learn to play like you. ;)

    Great tone! I usually play a much heavier tone with humbuckers but am working on a project with a friend of mine and your video helped me more with my strat tone than all the presets I`ve downloaded and tried. Very applicable with a Plexi for a dirtier tone too! Again, great job and great tutorial on achieving that great strat tone!

    This is great! Very well thought out, the levels of each pedal are just right, and the playing was great too!

    Cool, I was setting up a clean patch for my new to me LT just the other day. Picked them same drive pedals but I used the dbl twin nrml. Little different order for me. I'll have to play with it using some ideas you have. Wish my playing was a fraction as good as you. Loving the LT.

      Stephen Soukup I did that Stephen. The Helix is in a different class....life changing! A pro friend of mine said “Just buy it...,you are only here once” ...... He knows what he’s talking about.....

      @@andrewbutcher3391 Yeah I know... do you know any young kids just starting who want to start off with a mint like new Firehawk FX for practicing with? :)

      Stephen Soukup Sadly no Stephen but it’s a decent piece of kit...just not in the same class as Helix.

      @@andrewbutcher3391 yeah I know. if I had understood the gaps/misfortunes of it when I got it I would have passed and just waited. Also hardly any good support for it compared to the HUGE community for Helix family with patches and forums and videos

    Good playing and sound. Only a question; audio is direct from audio interface or do you use a mic amp? Have fun in music

    Playing was gr8 but sound was a bit thin i guess...Why did you put amp last in singal chain ? reverb should be after amp not before ?

    • @maxheadroom6067
      @maxheadroom6067 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The idea of using the "clean amp" as a pedal platform sort of negates the need to run delay and reverb behind the preamp. Most guys don't really run amps wide open enough to allow the preamp to overdrive a ton. Really simply, if you want to use the amp's natural overdrive, you may want to consider putting the "wet" effects post preamp. If you are using drive pedals they are effectively faux preamps and the wet effects behind them still makes sense, given a clean amp setup.

    New to Helix. Do you find you need to noise gate most all these on the front end?

    Interesting! You did use a Scarlett. Didn’t you use the Helix as an audio interface? What is the advantage?

    Excellent demo but I think you can get a good tone from a cardboard box with your style and excellent technique. I hear a lot of John Mayer...
