VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
How Amway's salesman made Amway the company it is today?
Amway practices direct selling which is 'A method of selling goods directly to the consumer by an independent Distributor. A Distributor can then introduce further Distributors and generate income from retail profits supplemented by bonus payments based upon the total sales of the group built by a Distributor'.
But this strategy is also used by Avon, Herbalife, Vorwerk, etc. but how is that Amway has managed to beat them all and top the list in the direct sales category? In this video, Think School tells you about Amway's salesmen and their genius strategy.

Hey everyone,
We in no way support or promote network marketing. This is just a case study from an earlier time and please treat it purely like a learning content and do not see it as an inspiration to get into these schemes. They are BS.
We are not saying this to offend anyone but because we care about each one of you.
Hope you understand :)

Chapter : Reciprocation
Hello Ganesh, can you please let me know where did you find this case study . In any book or article ?
Hello ganesh i liked the way you present the case study but it's strange that being such a intellectual person you couldn't understand the concept of direct selling and call it a scheme.
Hello ganesh i liked the way you present your case study. But before presenting Plz know the facts about direct selling and network marketing industry and how they have impacted and changed people's lives
For your knowledge KPMG and FICCI have surveyed that this industry can generate 25000crs by 2025 ...This was pre-pandemic and now in pandemic the network marketing industry has generated many income opportunities to people who have lost their job
First check the facts and then put your case study in public
@@Vaibhavsingh_3008 Hey bro,
Book Influence
Chapter reciprocation
@@biswajitlenka2810 concept isn't bad Bro. But the number of schemes are so huuge that I personally never recommend. That's all. I don't want anyone to get into trouble due to the video.
No matter how smart your marketing strategy is ,at the end of the day the quality of the product is what impresses the customer.
That is why marketing strategies are very important. If your product is of great quality and if you have good marketing strategies then your product will be very profitable but if you just rely on good quality of product but no good marketing then maybe the product sales will not be very good.
@@rehanvahora3578 I think you didn't saw his vedio about cocokola
@@rehanvahora3578 I think u should know about zerodha which is leading in market just on the quality of product and no marketing.
Exactly
@@knowledgefare3375zerodha is not a global brand but cocacola is!!
Once one salesman like this came to my house , and gave sample of cleaning detergent .
Mom thrown it away saying this could be poison.(mom is mom)
😂😂
😂😂😂😂
🤪😂😂😂
@@ThinkSchool u also laughing,😅
😂😂😂😂😂....
You're a genius man, very intellectual content and a great way to explain things. You've made me think and have a reason to rise again after a significant phase of distraction and mental depression . You're such an inspiration brother. God bless you.
Thank you so much ♥️ These words mean alot :)
@@ThinkSchool You're welcome, brother. Love your content. Keep this inspiration going, wish you great success!!
@@ThinkSchool A bit repeated concepts in this video, generally I dont see repition in your videos.. great work!
I am a regular viewer of THINK school from 6 months now .
After watching this video .
I can see the growth and the improvement in his story telling and presentation skills.
Learning comes first.
Experience follows!
Yup i remember an amway salesman gave my father atleast 10 sample products and after sometime we bought again a minimum of 5 products from it...today i got to know how he manipulated our mind...great marketing though
Man don't forget me when you get famous!!!😎
Some people call it manipulation, others call it good bhsiness tactics
It's not manipulation...
Actually u liked the product and sample so that so u want to buy more ...
Manipulation not the right word for it tho
That's great way ...to make ppl understand the efficient communication by telling real stories
Thank you Rishav :)
I may be wrong but I would like to add that here after using something for free, Customers feel that amway had done a type of favour and customers buy the products to repay that favour .
That's 100% true bro
@@ThinkSchool which books do you read to get these interesting case studies?
thats what happens when customers try out new clothes/shoes at a retail store
Nice thought bro
There is nothing for free, only sampling. All company does that by let customers do sampling. Amway got that 180 days(6 months) return policies that give them good favor with customers.
That's what JIO did. The gave the sample for free 😁
True
No bro, Jio isn't a network marketing scheme. It's a real competitive service. It's marketing model is slightly different.
@@sandipanmukherjee6602 You have proof??? Give it to court then... Sasta internet ka yahi ghata hai.... Go to court and give the proof
@@sandipanmukherjee6602 Jio gave us cheap internet...... Else airtel was selling 2gb for 400....
Jio is boon for us, we have cheapest internet.
Every line that came out of his mouth in his accent reminded me of Russell Peters. Today I realized how accurate he is about the Indian accent and head and hand movements.
U proved quality and content always win .
Congrats for 100k man
Amway was among first company to start network marketing
I think it is the first one
Nah, Watcher is the first network marketing company start in 1930s. Amway started in 1959.
Amway following the reciprocity.👍
You got that :)
10/10 for this video , straight to the point , no effusive vocab . supremely confident in the cam . thanks
And all that were at the cost of huge operational losses in the initial stages. This is a common strategy which in today's competitive world is practiced by almost every other company but turns out to be successful only for a few.
Wow I'm binge watching your old informative video after 1 year & now you're soon gonna reach 900k 😘
Dude you are such a blessing actually.
lessons i learned from this
1 never be pain in the ass
2 consumer satisfaction is top priority
3 sales person can provide free sample this can be benifits in two ways 1st brand awareness 2nd by this building brand awarness its easy for consumer to make decision then take action
5 don't copy compititiors study them but don't do all the things that they are doing do something unique
This channel is a goldmine...❤️
And that exactly what u r doing .............No unnecessary stuffs.
Well done.
That was such a clever way to sell something without even using much effort
My parents worked in sales for Amway. Their products are very good even though they are expensive
Comparing this ur latest video, ur content, presentation, editing came a long way. Just wow
dude I searched the Business case study playlist and how much this guy has grown is insaan in past 2 years
Can u please post case study like this.
And can u talk about how did u learn effective communication skills
We have a special course on the same Garishma .

You have to think in that particular language, we think and self introspect in our native language in our minds, if for example you want to learn Japanese, besides reading, writing, and learning the language, think it as well.
I am a amway business owner
Proud to be associated with this great company
The production quality of the new videos are awesome. This shows the progress.
The Amway salesman employed the rule of reciprocation as stated by Robert Cialdini
Most underrated channel ever 🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿

You always amazed me with your storytelling. Suggestion: There is small background noise in this video, which is distracting while going through video. Please avoid it.
That's my executive student bro. I was taking a class :P

Today you taught the lesson of marketing management
1}AMWAY done-MARKETING
2}OTHERS did SELLING
Wow man. Getting the customer to taste the piece before selling the chocolate. Lovely breakdown ganesh. Keep rising :)
Thank you so much :)
Bhai very bestest sales strategy❤️
I knew that you have made video on amway🥳🥳
Bro... Amazing ... Even though the video has a bed background , the quality of ur content makes us hooked on...Keep going .
I attended a business meet of Amway (online on zoom)- their latest pitch is: You are using soaps, oils, toothpaste, etc. if you are using a world class product and share that with people in your life, the money you save from the distribution channel, and in cases even advertising cost, can be shared by the consumers.
The products are wonderful as I use Nutrilite.
Please do an updated series on Amway (as they don't give free samples to my best knowledge) and still they are a billion dollar company.
Did anyone notice Shri Sai Baba blessing us through this video (the pic on the wall)?
My mom, dad and aunty, all of them having a government job were also working as salesperson with Amway 20 years ago. No doubt it was costly back in those days, may be 2-3 times the market price. But it was worth it, the quality and performance of all the products were also 2-3 times better.
It was a big bread earner for people at that time when it first came to our city.
Unlike these current days new shitty multi level marketing business who promises you BMW within a month, Amway was nothing like that.
at last the quality Is impressive... Just like think school 😁
Amway
This is the name I haven't heard in long time.
"There was one company that was making a million dollars and their conversion was exponentially high" - if i was asked to guess i would guess 'the church'
Richest entity om earth is the Vatican. You said it right.
After very long time I found valuable TH-cam channel 👍
Amway also came out with this scheme of making people join to sell their products and entitling them to make more people join, thus creating a chain of sales people which kept adding on..
Love the way u explain!!
Thank you so much :) ♥️
Congratulations 700k🎊🎊🎊🎊
I used to buy those books and I loved them
Bro...your content is good as the amway's marketing strategy. This is quality TH-cam content makers should learn from.
The lesson I learnt is that all political parties in India should show a sample to the public by becoming the ruling government for 10 days. Then, the people should decide which one is better and give their honest reviews. Later, the one who has the most positive reviews should come to power.
This one sounds great... instead of conducting rallies, they can do this..
Think again thats pretty easy
If only governance could be tested like this.
Well in india for government it needs months to pass one order or decision.....so the 10 days trial is fundamental failure idea
@@deepg65 right
This is nice. I never knew Amway use to do this.
Bro you just solved half of my confusions
We need more people like you bro.
Ur voice is really gr8....u should b the next voice for Delhi Metro ....&every metro of India....
Beautifully explained
such a brilliant strategy... people might think that the company is wasting money on the samples but then they earn huge profits from that investment
your content is so simple and yet works like a charm
i like to learn more from you
Love your workkk.
1 like toh banta hai👍
Amway strategy can only work when you have three main ingredients
1. Good product
2. Good product
3. Good product
You're really good at talking & explaining stuff buddy.
Quite insightful video @Think School

Hi, I think apart from this they also positioned the product with the discount and product ownership strategy
Just saw you first time Interacting in Video Conference that's amazing 🔥🔥🔥😁😁
#Thinkbigthinkschool
Bhaiya you are doing a noble work...which will enlighten the new generations and the generation to come❤️🙏
Ola and many other business did this 🤘
Great, thanks bro
Good. Topic on sales
The best strategy Amway maintain is the weekly meetings they host, which really helps the sellers to be motivated and they don't let the public change their mind😂😂 . I've been using Amway for years now literally now I can't switch to any other products.
Weekly meeting to let u know the product value. U can switch now no one force you, the reason is because you don't feel other brand value better then amway product.
And I left it😅
@@emersonlee9968 yes right many people dont knoe the power of association .a business is totally depends upon the number of meetings it did
Can u run a business without meeting and discussion??
Srry to butt in. Those meeting doesnt run by amway corporation. It all run by the distributors themselves. Amway have stated to train, supplies and motivates. When you start a business yourself, you have to figure out how to yourself. Here you got a support group/systems to educate you.
Know what customer really want.
End of the day it's the value of things you buy, invest or the possible outcomes that you may achieve . Be it yes or no, we are all consumers from the day we born till we leave this world. move behind the label !
Very Well.Explained 👌👌👌
Thank you :)
There is feeling of endowment also. since the product has been used by a person, he wants to own it even at slightly higher cost.
The best hardcore sales pitches was 80s and 90s W Eureka Forbes sales people , They sold thousands of vaccum cleaners which doesn't require by any of their customers . Proud to be a early Euro Champ.
Amazing strategy by Amway.
One thing is common in this and Domino's case study; HONESTY.
In both the cases they didn't try to force or manipulate their customers, instead they trusted their products and honestly taken the review from the customers.
So it is as they say; HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY..
Congratulations Ganesh on 100k subscribers 👍👍 Hard work pays off
Thank you so much ❤️
I got 4 hearts from think school and 3 replies
Thank You So Much!!!
This is the Fifth One 😊
