    Disability 101: What does it mean to have a "qualifying" disability in higher education?
    This presentation is specifically tailored for TRiO staff seeking to enhance their understanding of qualifying disabilities in higher education, the operational procedures of Disability Resource (DR) offices, the prevalence of various types of disabilities, and effective strategies for advising disabled students. The session will include a dedicated period for questions and answers to delve deeper into supporting college students with disabilities and collaborating with DR offices.
    By the conclusion of this session, you will:
    -Understand the legal definition of disability & why it matters.
    -Have a working knowledge of the broad range of disabilities at your institution
    -Have an understanding of best practices in working with your disabled student population & a bank of resources
