You could also use droppers and hoppers with comparators. Make a dropper on dimension 1 drop an item into a hopper in dimension 2 and a comparator detects it to create a signal. Additionally, you can make the items loop
@@migueltovarguerrero2582 the only issue with that idea is it cant really have up or down, as that might trigger the wrong hopper if you have lines of them, you'd have to go really tall for that to work, with dispensers and target blocks, you just have 2 blocks with no real limitations as to how they have to be set up, just have the target block directly across from the dispenser.

I don't know if you remember this but the seven segment display you designed in this is extremely similar to one you yourself designed five years ago. In the video you called it a smart display. It was a display that would show whatever number you entered on a keypad that also used a redcoder, but the keypad of your smart display was in a grid instead of a row. I think you may be able to improve this design by revisiting your old smart display video.

Oh my gosh, that display gave me _such_ nostalgia vibes, from seeing all these redstone torch computers and displays back in the day, before we even had repeaters.
Geez, that makes me want to dip my toes back in to recreational redstone again.

C'mon, don't be like that. Recreational Redstoners aren't hurting anyone, they're just in it for a good time!
Fun Fact: If Mumbo attempts to make a redstone contraption that isn't "actually quite simple", he *will* start to slowly flicker from existence depending on how long the contraption takes to make.
Welcome to the Mumbo Jumbo documentary! Today we see a wild Mumbo say "This is quite complicated". This will result in him flickering and slowly fading from existence
It was almost refreshing to see him do something challenging for once.
(give it a week, this will be quite simple for him, too)

There's even addons for Buildcraft-style micro transport pipes.

As someone who built a redstone computer before:
Yes, it does look like typical redstone computer circuitry.
As a digital electronics student, we are honestly surprised at how accurate redstone is when compared to real life wiring.
Yup
But it has its limitations.
Redstone does not emulate sink and source currents. That's why "open drain" will never be used in redstone builds...
Man, I wish i could have a big brain. Truly, the only thing i’m good at is playing video games, which isn’t really useful if you ask me.

Redstone logic circuits always look so technical and compact, i really don’t like making them because I just can’t get my head around them. might just stick to piston doors, but you did a great job on this
Any compact redstone logic gate you've seen doesn't actually have to be compact, you can make them as big as you like, they also don't have to look technical either.

Wow I never thought the immersive portal mod can let you interact with blocks through the portal. It’s even more useful than I already gave credit and I already held it quite high up in versatility before
Anyone else feel like they have been using the immersive portal mod for a super long time when in reality you’ve never tried it, but are simply immersed in Mumbo’s videos.

Individually controlling 7-segment diplays quickly becomes a mountain of clutter even IRL, and here Mumbo does it in Minecraft.
It's insanely clever how you can use redstone's properties to overcome its limitations, it really shows it's not a neutered imitation of circuitry, just different.
