They just took 1600. From an invoice a customer sent me for materials for a building we’re building her and yes I have employees to pay also. What gives them the right to hold my customers money?? I am beyond furious. What can I do to stop them from taking money that has nothing to do with them?

Hey Roger! When you sign up for the Square account card, they re-route the money to your card instead of your bank account. You probably noticed you stopped getting deposits when you activated the card. To fix this, you just have to deactivate the card with Square customer service. The benefit to the card is that you actually have access to the funds straight away with the Square card. If you need to write a check from your bank account, though, it becomes less convenient. I'm just learning more myself so thought I'd pass this along in case it's helpful. I actually just moved away from Orange Park - small world.

So if you buy a new phone that don't have a headphone jack, you won't be able to use that swiper anymore. I'm shocked they haven't invented new swipers for the new phones. They lose business that way. I just haven't gotten around to looking for a better company yet. Onetime they took $40 out of my account for a customer's lies and would not even tell me who the customer was. So essentially that customer used my service and got a refund at my expense. So when I get to making big money I'm eventually leaving square.

You're saying its gonna charge me 1.5 on top of the 2.9 or whatever percent. Or you're saying that the 1.5 is only charged if it have it set to instant transfer. So basically in a nutshell you are recommending to transfer the money when it hits the account after 24 hrs. Rather than setting up the instant transfer option because they are charging an extra 1.5 percent to do so. Have I understood that correctly?
Don't they only hold money for a few days if you don't want the fee ? also is it impossible to take a remote payment over 100 without a signature from customer ?

Not an option on my screen. The ONLY option was “instant transfer” and there is nothing instant about it. Square took $100 out of the $3023 a client paid to me. The client asked me to use this app..im going to tell them I won’t take payment thru this app in the future

@@ROGERWALDMAN We started doing that as well via Zelle to our checking account. Now we got a message from Wells Fargo that Zelle has Transfer Service Addendum will go into effect on May 31, 2023. 1. You must not use the Zelle® Transfer Service in connection with any money transmitter business activities.... ugh!

Hey another thing I would do is write a scathing review in the App Store for this square invoice. Sometimes, the owner of these apps read those and respond. They realize it’s better to fix the problem, than to lose all the business of folks who read our reviews and decide not to use their app. They might accidentally look into it and pay you. I’m heading over to their app in my App Store to leave a terrible, but truthful review myself!

cancel your debit card and turn off the debit card hold . i would try to call them ..
