You are an incredibly edifying speaker, Presvytera. As a catechumen that will be received soon (formerly Roman Catholic), this presentation was very helpful. It is easy to fall prey to any literature that simply aligns with my own confirmation bias. However, this presentation was not emotionally charged, mocking, or filled with cherry picked quotations that would play into such biases.
It takes time to dispel these thoughts when you are raised in the Roman Catholic Church. I know Orthodoxy is the True Church but sometimes I need presentations like this to push away any intrusive, scholastic "well what if you're wrong?" types of thoughts during this time in my conversion.

The enemy of our souls runs deep into the "crevices" of our hearts and minds after so much indoctrination at a young age. Fruits of Catholic schools etc. My own experience is that one MUST insist on Baptism - this allows us to renounce (the Russians do this correctly I believe) the individualized heretical groups as we must. The demons flee with this! Then accepting openly our Christ in the waters, and the Holy Spirit's anointing sealing on the work of Christ begun and planted in us! The only times I've been physically attacked were from "Uniate" priest and a Catholic relative. These are violent spirits which "lay hands" to do harm..showing their opposition to the Gospel of Christ which I was giving at the time.! Good to know these things... Catherine: good hearing you and thank you so much for encouraging words. Yes, you and I have experienced this strange Institution parading around as the "original church"..only to reveal itself in its changeable nature according to the EU dictates of its "masters" - especially in this Pope Francis. He indeed may be the "last" pope as many say. We pray this means that wise Catholic people will come into the Church whose Head is the Lord Jesus Christ "Who will never leave us nor forsake us" and Who forgives all our sins freely giving grace to change our lives in His holy Mysteries. This explains well the declension of what was once Paul’s Church, a powerful, vibrant, soul winning church out of Rome of which many of our churches are daughters. It’s sad what has happened to Paul’s Church as they become more human and drift along with the current. This helped to shine a light on the situation and reveal things unknown as well.
