As you were demonstrating the micro switch operation I thought to myself ‘I am getting significant play in my lever.’ Sure enough, your simple solution is the winner.. thanks for saving me (another) headache.
I have a 1990 club car DS. It turns over but won't actually fire and run. Changed the plug, solenoid, voltage regulator, micro switches.. still won't start. Battery keeps dying from trying to start it. Any ideas?
Did you check if it actually has spark? Google the rev limiter , it’s at the bottom of the motor towards the front . There is 2 wires going to it , unplug it and see if it starts.
Hi! What type battery do you have? I have a 1997 gas golf cart. And the old one is a 75 DT battery with terminals on the side not on top. I dont know if its the correct one or not?

I’m not sure what it was mate that was a while ago. Put what ever fits in it mate they are not fussy.
