    Wow the production value on the map screen, the new debris/asteroid models, logo'd die tray ... Nicely done guys

      @Skaal, the dice tray was a last minute add-in. We feel you can see the dice a lot better also. The terrain was specific to this campaign, but we really like it so it will likely continue to star on the table.

    Man, just when I thought your content couldn’t get any better, you step everything up. Love the new music, the terrain and the effort y’all put into this. Y’all are the best.
    That first set of attacks by the tie group that killed the two unique rebel squadrons was insane. Perfect strategy and rolls from John.
    How do y’all like the terrain? I have the same stuff. I like mine.

      @@jz9625 The between turn damage reports are custom made graphic files in which multiple files are combined to create what you see. Those 60 seconds of video in each of our Armada battle reports represent about an hour of work each week.

    You promised a new format and boy! Did you deliver.
    I thought leaving your Rogues out in the open like that was a bit risky. Rogues are great for backing up squads; because of their Rogue status, they could have been spread about a little more, forcing the TIEs to have to pick their target. You'd have one dead Rogue instead of three.
    Not every game needs to end in total mass destruction of forces.
    I can't Express how excited I am for these, you've put so much effort into production and it shows. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your work.

      Found out afterwards that we had the raid token rules down incorrectly. I would have changed my approach and potentially done more damage. Live and learn I guess. :)

    23:36 Victory arc-dodging was a GREAT play...but it should have used the Nav Token! ...granted it didn't ultimately matter since you didn't need the token later. Otherwise, that really was a great surprise attack with the TIE fighters. Never underestimate a TIE-Squad-Quasar with Flight Controllers!

      Ken and I noticed this during editing. Always kind of annoying when we find with did something wrong. We both agreed it would not have changed anything in the end. The flight controller tie swarm worked better than either of us expected. -John

    Solid game. Only really big critique is maybe spread out the fighters more so the ties couldn't just concentrate on them, but there just wasn't the opportunity for a concentrated attack on the Vic. One of those kinda have to throw the hands up in the air and say you got me. John played defense pretty well that game.

      Still getting the hang of rebel fighters. There are so many things I want to do that need Imperial officers. I've also decided I don't like the Lancer unless it has an Escort squadron.

      @@IONRadio Other than Awings and YT 2400's generally not good with them ether and you are 100% right about the lance the 4 health just scares me off. This fleet needs a little love from the upgrades and matches up better with the ISD fleet. It'll see some wins

    Just discovered your channel and love the content. Especially excited to see a playthrough of Rebellion in the Rim as I am hoping to get some friends to play it soon. That said, I was under the impression you couldn't choose unique squadrons initially for this campaign (based on what the devs said on FFG Live). Is that not the case?

      Unique Squadrons can be picked (up to 2 per fleet). "Each player can have up to two squadron cards with unique names in each fleet." (RitR pg 12 3rd Bullet).

    Ken I wouldn’t match my squadrons up to an anti squadron list :P especially if you do t really have a fleet for pushing squadrons making them
    Wait till the squadrons phase ... hold them back at a range ruler and a bit away, let them come into your squadrons and your flak

      Very true! Although to be honest, neither John nor I felt those TIEs would eat up my squadrons that fast.

      @@IONRadio true, they were ridiculous rolls - but I think holding back wouldve been for the best. John mentioned at the end he was going to get them anyway, or go after a ship, but if he started going after a ship thats your chance to go after him. in RITR it so often comes down to which squadrons and flotillas youve killed in my experience - often the shipsmake it.
      I reckon that was a poor choice of objectives, you wanted to be up close and personal, he wanted to stay back and shoot long dice and squadrons at you. Having said that, when your speed did come up I reckon you hesitated a bit, then both were forever out of range. I think next time, skirt around the edges into the back, nav all the way, and pull both into his rear.

      In retrospect - yes. I was hoping for a closer attack with the surprise attack objective. It kind of backfired on me.

    Why waste dials on the raid tokens? Try to dial up commands other than what the opponent has planned, and gain those tokens. Since you can't get more than one raid token of the same type, make the opponent waste their objective dials trying to stack raid tokens.
    Then, on round 3, after your opponent has used all of their objective dials, discard one dial to remove all of the raid tokens. Ken could have had a con fire and a repair token on his ships, and not wasted three dials cancelling the same raid token over and over.

    Great battle guys! Two questions. In the beginning you stated it is dangerous for TIEs in debris, but why? Doesn’t it provide some cover and keep from engaging? And where did you get your 3D obstacles?! They look dope

      Thanks, Beaker. This was a fun one for us to play out. The first engagement of any campaign is always cautious while figuring out the enemy. The TIE Fighter comment is specific to how well they handled themselves in "The Empire Strikes Back" chasing after the Millennium Falcon. :)

    i think the victory class picture in the fleet screens is a imperial class

      Doubled checked, it is the Victory. If you check out the Intro video while John is talking about his Sloane fleet you can see the difference. We may decide to make some modifications though to this image to help differentiate the two Star Destroyers. Thank you for the feedback.

    Am I missing something or was the Victory arc dodge an illegal move? The victory only has a click at the second joint at speed two, and master navigator gives an additional click and the last joint at your current speed. So you should not have been able to do a click at the first joint.

      Also when calling the game at 27:30 you did a single click at the first joint on the Victory. That one didn't matter, but still an illegal move.

    wait you can move and attack with squadrons in the same turn?

      Yes. If squadrons are activated by a command they can attack and move in the same turn.
      During the squadron phase any squadron with the “rogue” keyword can also move and attack.
      There are exceptions (such as being engaged) in which you may not be able to move.

    Love your content. A little disappointing to see surprise attack picked. Then, if you do pick it, how do you not keep your ships together... never mind... just never pick surprise attack. If a friend chose that objective and I lost, i'd be embarrassed.

      Thanks, Danny! I was hoping that I could use the Objective to my advantage and get a few quick hits on John's Star Destroyer. I was not planning on John placing the station in the back of my deployment zone. Great play by John, but think of the excitement of winning that one as first player. :)
