- The Shangri La Hotel, on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. A tour of the Krungthep Wing and Shangri La Wing of the hotel. Starting from a balcony river view room in the Krungthep Wing, walking past the gardens, pools and restaurants on the banks of the river; then into the main hotel lobby and down to the street at the front of the hotel. Other 5 star hotels seen on the river for comparison.
I stayed there, very beautiful.
The really like when it’s shown by an amateur because it really show how it is, and I must said this place is absolutely beautiful, even on the cloudy day. Thank you!
Great video. It brought back lovely memories. The Krungtep wing is fantastic and well worth the money. I think I spent about three hours one day just watching the traffic on the river.
BALCONIES! I love the design of this hotel. Been missing your reviews ever since quarantine Mr. K! Hope things return to the status quo once this is over.
yah, balconies are good. domestic tourism is slowly opening up - vietnam fully open - may take a bit of time for cross border travels to resume...
Brings back great memories. I took the rivertaxi from near khao san road to get here, looked at the beautiful shangrila, headed to the post office, had drinks with aussie friends at the "dirty bars" got into a fight, then had to escape by tut tut and catch early morning flight into new delhi next day....such a good time.
Another interesting and informative video. Your commentary matches and enhances the total experience of the viewer. Thanks again for sharing.
the view outside the balcony very alive and the view of waterside traffic very nice make it worth to stay here..the Peninsula Hotel look great from the balcony..hope you can make the video review of Peninsula Hotel someday.
Best hotel review ever. You sold it to me
look stunning :) !!!
Shangri-la Wing has rooms with a balcony. Deluxe Balcony Rooms are located in the front row to the river side of the building.
Enjoy these hotel videos.Good work.
Thanks - I like the hotels and watching after too - plenty more here, and plenty more to come...
Great video again. Shangri-La always seem to get things right. Would love to see you do a video tour of Nana plaza /Soi Cowboy in Bangkok, or the Legendary Thermae Coffee House. Keep up the good work, always look forward to your videos.
Nice vid. Thanks
I like hotels on waterside - beach or river. Stayed Banyan Tree, Bangkok before, and inland - have a great rooftop bar/restaurant. So you've stayed Shangri La, Bangkok before - great minds think alike, if I may say so ;-)
Great video, most informative
There are balconies in the Shangri La wing, I have stayed in one they are the 'corner' rooms, best hotel I have ever stayed in by far.
great video...thanks
try The Siam next time, riverside pool villa. It's amazing.
Great name
wow
I’ve been trying to break into Whisky - is Johnnie Walker easy on the palate, particularly the more exclusive labels (blue)?
johnnie walker green and blue good, black is ok. red label is a bit rough on the palate... if you like easy on the palate, canadian club is good...
Good vid, thanks :)
Nice video - I was sure you would get run over when you exited the hotel towards the end.
Kesavaraj, Will you stay at Mandarin Oriental? I stayed there few Times.. Ye, good reviews.
@ MrKesavaraj, I'm going to Bangkok for three nights in November. I can't decide between The Peninsula and Shangri La. Which did you prefer?
Overall The Peninsula just a bit better. 2 nights at The Peninsula, 1 night at Shangri La - easy solution ;-)
MrKesavaraj Thank You.
MrKesavaraj I prefer Montien Riverside. And 4 nights for price of 1.
A tour from a guy who is used to 3 star hotels. Money does not buy class.
