  • Anantara Hotel's luxury resort on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Views over the river, gardens and pool from a River View Suite. A walk round a very nice hotel.

One of the nicest hotels I think you've done. I'd like to stay there myself some time. Thanks for showing us - great job. :)

Ive been to anantara in phangan, very nice. Maybe next time i will try this one when im in bangkok. Have you tried the peninsula? Liked it a lot! For the last day in bangkok, before you leave, i recommend the "U sathorn".Its closer to the airport and ridicolously cheap for what you get. (Also nice food, the restaurant has a michelin-star chef)

From what I can see it is not hard to extend the pool area. They can build a pool over the first part of the river (river runs underneath) up until the first bridge. The pool level will be slightly higher than the level of the current pool, but not even that much. The build (and operations) wouldn't even be that expensive. Weird that they don't do that!
Indeed a great hotel from what I could see...

+Hajo Theunissen Yah or they could extend the pool say 10metres in all directions and have fewer pool chairs. Most ppl poolside were relaxing rather than swimming - the shade is nice. That said, they should minimise any change to the gardens which are nice and give the place a cozy feel.

Nice looking resort. I want to see you review he Nana hotel Sukhumvit Soi 4. Nothing like the hotels we're used to seeing on your channel, but it is a legendary hotel for it's location (nightlife). Be interesting to see what you make of it. You gonna be in Thailand foe Songkran? anyway keep up the good work, always look forward to your videos.

+SirStamford27 Hey - haven't heard in ages. Next time I visit Bangkok gonna stay Sukhumvit area - will check out Nana hotel. I went to Sukhumvit on Sunday (staying at Baiyoke and no sport on TV) - sports bar there for Formula 1 and Cricket T20 Finals - lots of nice hotels in the area. Hope you're well ;-)

+MrKesavaraj Yeah good thanks, been catching up on your videos last couple of days, good stuff. Singapore Thailand, such great places. Nana Hotel very different to what we're used to seeing you in, opposite Nana Plaza need I say anymore, but would love to see a video from you of the place. That old colonial style hotel you were overlooking, did that used to be the Sofitel Central?? sure it was called that 20 years ago, last time I was there.

+SirStamford27 The first time I was at Bangkok almost 20 years ago too. I couldn't pick the colonial style building you refer to - watched the vid again. The Sofitel these days is at Sukhumvit - 5 minute walk from the sportsbar I mentioned; in retrospect I should have stayed at Sofitel so could have stayed out late with the sports action...

+MrKesavaraj Hi, yeah so sorry. The hotel , I'm on about is in your Hilton video in Hue Hin. I'm sure that hotel you over look, the hotel used in the Killing Fields movie used to be called the Softies Central?? My mistake I do apologise.
