So, I've been eyeing up "The Roomies" house in Oasis Springs for a while. I don't hate it fully, but I just feel like it needed a little help. So with the use of only Base Game and Desert Luxe, I did something. Hope you like it! See you next week!

Aden, please renovate the Spencer Kim Lewis House, its such an eyesore
If I'm not mistaken, this household is loosely based on the characters from the American sitcom New Girl. The Sims were given the first names of the characters from the show. Zoe is unemployed because the main character on which she is based is also unemployed at the start of the series. You should absolutely check the show out! Anyhow, I love this build and that you made it so accessible to both all players. Thank you!

The sims aren't the same names as the characters (well Jess is played by Zoe Deschanel but that's about it) but yes they are definitely based on the show! 🌻
I thought she was a teacher at the beginning of the series.
I'd love to see someone build the apartment in New Girl, especially with the co-ed bathroom haha.
I always thought of Zoe Patel as a teacher because of this inspiration for their characters ☺️
I absolutely love this! I'd love to see you fix that monstrosity in Willow Creek where the Spencer-Kim's live. That house has such potential and it just is terrifying, even for EA.

If you’re talking about the house that’s across from the goth’s house then let me tell you something interesting. 😭 so I’m playing as a male sim rn and I basically convinced Bella to Marry me and left the teenagers, Alexander and Cassandra with Mortimer and moved in Kennedi and Brandie (their other 2 kids), with us. So I’m playing my game and I decided to edit another lot, and I went to manage the world and saw that the Spencer-Kim’s now live in the goth’s house and the goth’s lived in that house across from their old mansion. I thought it was a little crazy and funny
I really appreciate how you kept the shell intact while honoring the style with a more contemporary/brutalist vibe! I've seen a lot of Simmers attempt a renovation, and it's pretty much an entirely new lot with a floorplan and style that is so different it doesn't even feel like the same lot. LilSimsie does a good job at keeping this balance as well. Awesome job!
I love how you kept the old style of the house while updating it to your own taste. It looks so much better! If you are taking suggestions I'd like to see your version of the Partihaus household in Windenburg. It's supposed to be a colorful party place but some choices about that house are baffling...
I always imagined that J’s family own the house so he lives there for free and rents it to his friends. Love the build Aden!! X
I'm always using full edit mode to give J a dad who's really high up in a lucrative field and wishes his son were more like him.
Desert Luxe was like an Oasis Springs update because it sure inspired me to update almost every single Oasis Springs EA build in my game. Lol
This is such a CLASSY renovation - I love it!
If you're thinking about renovating other EA houses, maybe the Landgraabs' house could be a good option? Yes, it's huge and terrifying, but with all the packs, it could become something quite fun! Or at least have less wasted space ...

This house is actually a remake of a house in the sims 3 basegame, which used to be my absolute favourite house to play in back in the day. Super fun to see you redo this one, bring back a lot of memories!!!
Loved everything about this except maybe for the bedrooms 😅 The tiny, all the way to the top windows just made them look so dark and uninviting. If I lived in a bedroom where all the windows are so high up that I can't look outside, I'd go crazy. Zoe's bedroom looked a bit too old/dark/traditional for the kind of vibes she gives (more modern city girl). But that said that kitchen and the living room both looked so, so good!
Love this remodel. My only complaint was not tucking the toilets away. It might be the interior designer in me, but the porcelain throne shouldn't be the first thing a person sees when they walk into a bathroom. That being said, these aren't real houses, with real people.

That looks a million times better. Not sure what the Sims were going for with the Roomies. Some kind of sitcom gone wrong.

I'd love to see the Price house redone (in Copperdale).. even though it is a really nice house I feel like you could do a lot with it! Also redoing them in CAS as well because the outfits are an absolute disaster 😂

Only about 8 minutes into this vid but just wanted to say how HAPPY I was to see this video pop up- I literally started working on this lot the other day (with 4 new sims) and was really struggling with how to make it look good so this is definitely great inspiration especially in terms of changing the roof/outside areas! I also only have the base game and desert luxe so I’m really happy that you decided to stick with that too!
Been catching up on watching your videos. Quite a bit behind, been crazy busy, went back to college! Decided to get a degree in forensic science. All my other college course for business degree transfer over to new degree program, so all I have to do is take all the forensic/criminal justice classes, about 8, and I'm done! How cool is that?! Fun classes!

The look of disgust you made at the fact that it was the 'Roomies' house made me laugh. This is such a classy version of this house, its a great reno because you havnt just got rid of everything you can still look at it and be like oh its that lot.
I love it, and I really loved how you kept the floor plan. One of the better ones that EA did ;) The roof is SO MUCH better now! I absolutely love the concrete and I wouldn't mind it if it was used more in all of Oasis Springs. It seems as if it was made to revive Oasis Springs IMO. As for the next reno if you want to do one, I agree with Heather Patchett, do the Spencer Kim house. I would love to see what you do with that one! 😜 Thank you for all you do, it is so much fun to watch your videos.
I love the roomies house. I’ve used it in every generation of my legacy family. Renovating it as we go. I made the outside courtyard a raised platform for my 4th generation sim who was a concert pianist
Oh i love this so much.. this is how renovation should be.. you don't need to bulldoze and rebuild a new house unless you build it on empty lot ❤❤❤

I idea for a house to redo is the Dresden House in Windenburg it really needs a Devonbumpkin Reno.

well, that's certainly a lot nicer than what I did with this house. Yours is fabulous. I turned mine into a prison...because paparazzi are illegal in my world so that's where they go.

I just renovated this house yesterday before the video came up, inspired by your older video where you only used Base Game and Desert Luxe kit and did the Adobe style ☺️ it turned out so good!! I put the exact same fireplace in the exact same place 😅 And this was great too, love the use of platform!

i just now realized that the reason why i love this house layout so much is bc it reminded me of a house id always play in when i played in sunset valley in sims 3, its called modernehaus and its got the same center outside area and the similar almost w roofing! i loved that house with all my heart.

I really wish you had changed the windows in the bedrooms. I like the theme you went for but the windows give it too much of a prison vibe… Almost like they have their individual prison cells 😂

So fun to watch this because Mitchell & Zoe play a huge part in my current family's life, and the step siblings of my current teen live in this home so I did a lot of refurnishing to it myself because EA, what is this?? LOL
I've tried it so many times before tearing it down and starting over.
