That’s a handy & informative video Dave. I never knew that that pump only ran at 5 psi. You are some man for the information, thanks Dave 🙏🙏

I keep the end off an old bike pump handy for bleeding these and run it into a plastic bottle.

Excellent. Wish I had this when I changed it the last time. Thank you very much.

great explation and information as aways dave . we alwaly found transits hard to start after fuel filter change even with system primed up as much as possible . . our irish man method to start these was to tow it that always worked but not ideal . .

Nice one Dave , have seen these where after many attempts to start after fuel filter change , where the ecu locks out starting the engine , then shows a fault code , which needs to be cleared 😂, has the customer been saving up all the common jobs for you to do 😂, I did a ns shaft and front wheel bearing on a mk 7 last week , lots of crust on the Torx bolts on the bearing , I used the tool to push the bearing out of the hub , it was solid 👍, Poppy is growing up so fast 👍

MY what a design!!??? I designed mine to supply fuel to the injector pump. 9 PSI pre filters and 7 PSI post filters. Wasted about a tea spoon changing the two filters. Very likely Much larger then this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting stuff as always Dave. I once wasted 2 hours of my life removing a Mondeo fuel tank only to find that the in-tank pump was not connected to the fuel line what so ever. It’s only purpose seemed to be to keep the swirl pot full at all times while the engine was running. I use a bit of Vaseline on filter O-rings. I buy the biggest size tub of it every time I visit the chemists; that gets a few funny looks btw!
