It has been 15 years since Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life. Unfortunately, it isn’t the quick fix she had hoped for. Suburbia has a whole new set of rules and a local queen bee, Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph), who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Frustrated that her happily ever after hasn’t been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairy tale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy. Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.

i see they’re still hanging onto the Snow White references, we love to see it 😭 and not her minion going “we said powerful, not prettiest” 💀💀
There are a lot of references to the classics stories. Cinderella's cat, wand, stepmother, ball, clock marking twelve, etc. We had Snow White too: the mirror, the another woman villain (is very similar her face to her stepmother) and the hole (Snow White was cleaning the stairs and she found prince Florian there). There are some more references: the little Mermaid (Edward's under the water and he is extending his hand to the real world where is his wife Nancy) and the Sleeping Beauty (Aurora appears with flowers visiting Giselle and her new baby).

@@Angie_delosAngeles_23 oh absolutely! in the first they had references to the classics as well, (apparently the Enchanted rose appeared in Giselle’s room at the beginning,) Ariel’s voice actress Jodi Benson was there, Pocahontas’ singing voice appeared when Edward was knocking on doors trying to find Giselle (the woman who said you’re too late) Belle’s voice actress Paige played in a soap opera that Nathaniel was watching, Nancy becoming Cinderella after Giselle ditched her heel to fight Narissa, the midnight deadline for Giselle to be woken up from the poison apple, and so on. they managed to pack a LOT into just an hour and a half 😭 and i’m sure they’ll do the same thing for the references here too
@@voidsthread yeah. And in the ball when they record so close dance they recorded it at the top of the light lamp (Beauty and Beast style) remembering us the scene of Belle and Adam's first dance.

Maya has been so hilarious. From being Luca’s mom to being a villain, every character she played in Disney is just so funny, can’t wait to watch Disenchanted, lol.
I hope Jayma Mays (Maya's minion who said the 'powerful, not prettiest) also gets to sing and have scenes with Idina Menzel. It'd be like a mini Glee reunion

I can't. 🤣🤣🤣😅😅 I love how this movie is going to be a mixture of several fairy tales, but at the same time, they are going to make fun of them. This sequel is going to be iconic, mark my words, people. ICONIC.

@@oncer_9721 The sense that I have of the sequel from clips and trailers (not having seen the actual movie yet) is that this will focus more on the villian tropes/iconography, while the original focused more on the princesss tropes/iconography

What's the deal with the Evil Queen and the Magic Mirror?
Well, I guess that I found the Easter egg hunt and references for every Disney live-action and animated films, including Fantasia, with the exception of Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, National Geographic, Pixar and Marvel Studios, in "Enchanted" and "Disenchanted", after all!!!
And I can't wait for see a sneak preview of a Disney+ Original film, "Disenchanted", Streaming on next Friday in the time for Mickey's birthday and Minnie's birthday on Disney+, cause that was pays tribute to ALL OF THEM!!!!
