Camp Gulf has a few sites right on the sand, but the majority are set back a bit, but still close to the water. It's a very small RV Park and it's crazy expensive. Expect to pay $100-200 per night and be prepared to put up with the $500,000 coach crowd. Of course you could just go down the street a bit and stay at Henderson Beach State Park for a fraction of the price. Topsail Hill and Greyton Beach State Parks are also nearby. All have water and electricity.
Another Florida beach campground on the Gulf you missed is Top Sail State Park. It has full hookups. Located between Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City Beach.
I agree. I live in Walton County and have camped at Top Sail many times. I would highly recommend it over camp gulf, due to the price. Camping on the beach there is extremely expensive.
Great Video as usual. I started viewing your best campgrounds for the week in January as well as your videos. Your reports and your viewers reports really hit the awesome campgrounds out there. I know for a fact because we have stayed at a lot of them already. I am making my list of the places we want to go and the best campgrounds to stay at while we are there for when my boyfriend retires in two years. It is a very long list and continues to grow. Your site has helped me so much for our future plans. and I thank you so much for this. On this video we have already stayed at Padre Island National Seashore, St Joseph Peninsula State Park and St George Island State Park. Fort DeSoto County Park is on my list but we have not been able to secure a spot there yet. Now I have more Florida spots to add to my list. This summer our big trip is to Acadia National Park, Cape Cod, Shenandoah National Park and lots of places in between. I suppose I need to start submitting reviews when we find a great campground. Again, Thank You for your awesome site and your followers awesome reviews.
Bolivar Flats is usually the worst place you can set up the mosquitoes are awful you need to go about two to three miles farther down the beach where all the other RVs go
Update on Rutherford. Not dissing you or anything - just certain places have been overtaken by events - review from Josh Spurlock 1/2/21 "I’m sure it was beautiful before hurricane delta took it out. The roads are washed out such that you cannot get to the beach and all the builds and pavilions are scraped to the ground. We stayed off to the side of the main road coming in as it was getting dark when we arrived. Mosquitoes were thick as I’ve ever seen. Sunset was pretty though :)
Hello, new van dweller here. Which of these would be best for someone in an Odyssey? Parking space options; But close to the beach? While I would love to stay on the beach, without an RV, don't think it would be ideal.
Hi Di Lee - check out the reviews of each on Campendium - you can even search reviews for the word "van" or see the length of rigs that have camped at particular locations. www.campendium.com
Hi WesternSTi - this video contains images from reviews of of campgrounds on the Gulf Coast, and Jared, the host of this video doesn't own an Airstream! :)
Hey what’s up campendium just have a question if you don’t mind answering are all these beach sites free for boondocking specifically st George island, fort destoto & st joseph state park
Many/most of these sites have fees - even if you are not utilizing hook-ups. We link to more information about each individual camping area in the details :) - Happy camping! - Liz
Sorry no thumbs up or down here. I don't mind you using the reviews on the campendium site to make a list like this but tell use more about the campgrounds (which I don't see on the Campendium web site either) and that would be facilities aka amenities, such as restrooms, showers, water, power, sewer, etc. A couple of these locations, you barely mention, let alone give details on.
Alligators live in fresh water. Crocodiles are salt water dwellers. You'll want to research each specific location for its predatory animal risks. - Liz
I've lived in southwest Florida for 39 years and it has both alligators and crocs. The crocs are generally near the southern tip of the state but occasionally find their way 100 miles or so north.
Probably pet Caimen that got to big as pets, like the pet python , anaconda snakes that people released and are now a Florida Everglades problem species that is NOT native.
The great thing about Campendium is the community with everyone contributing with things like reviews, pictures and cell coverage at campsites. We do travel and we do go to the places on Campendium but this channel is centered around sharing the reviews and pictures from the Campendium community. It gives a bigger perspective than from one persons traveling style and preferences.

Camp Gulf IS spendy! Last reported price on Campendium is $95. We love Florida state parks, but recommend making reservations - they book up fast!
GREAT VIDEO! Heading to the gulf coast in our tiny camper for our maiden voyage in HOURS ! And we are totally winging it! Got gas for the generator!
Have an awesome trip! 🏝
Thanks for doing this video
You're welcome! - Liz

AMERICAN RV TRAVELER We love Top Sail! I can’t believe it was on the list!
Top Sail Hill is possibly the best state park in Florida for RVing. We love it there.
it's good for the gulf to have some best kept secrets, ' unspoilt' c; sshhhhhh
Great idea on where to go!!
Enjoy! 🌅
St. Joseph S. P. was absolutely my most favorite place on earth!!! Too bad it is gone!!!
That's valuable information. Planning to visit beaches on 30A , Florida.I subscribed

How can you say its a great video? All he did was read a list of other peoples comments without ever being there.
Awesome video! Always great seeing your work! Keep it going!

Definitely be sure to check current conditions of campsites before heading out - check Campendium reviews and official websites! - Liz
Got to figure out a tickler to look at your lists when planning travels.
Is the Nile River salt water?
You mede a nice video
Glad you enjoyed it! - Liz

State Parks aren’t part of the Forest Service or are they?
I had no clue they were crocodiles in Florida I thought it was only gators I just learned something
One of the joys of traveling, in reality or virtually - learning something new! Glad we could share. - Liz
Odd question for you.... How long have you had an Airstream?
Hi WesternSTi - this video contains images from reviews of of campgrounds on the Gulf Coast, and Jared, the host of this video doesn't own an Airstream! :)
I love beach camping. Since freeman park has changed their rules we can't camp there in the summer. Any suggestions for the east coast beach camper?
ya right ft. desota 65 bucks plus a night
Ok Florida
You forgot seaside beach
Really got nothing on Australia aye 🇦🇺

Did you check the links in the description?
Put price next time
There's a link in the description to each campground.
Fake title should say campgrounds near the beach
Crocodiles or Alligators?
Alligators live in fresh water. Crocodiles are salt water dwellers. You'll want to research each specific location for its predatory animal risks. - Liz
Crocodile? Crocodile? Lost me!
Florida has gators not crocs

Alligators; not crocs.....
Noted! Happy camping - Liz
Your reading other peoples review? Heck I could have done that myself.
Tracy Schweitzer lol
So basically you haven't been to these places, you're just copying what others say and using google photos for this video. 👎👎
Worst Overview Video I have ever seen! Using stock photos and just reading google reviews. What a joke.
So you don't go to the parks, you just regurgitate reviews.
