honestly this game has blown my mind! i never in a million years would of thought somebody ( or a large team ) could merge a berserk/dmc-esk world with AMAZING visual shots. it feels like a love letter to DMC and those spectacle hack and slash games of the ps1/ps2 days. to anybody who is curious, please give it a go. also great video! you get a sub :)
This is the best Platinum style game this year. Way better than anything Platinum Games made since nier automata. And its not online only, so you don't have to worry about it being stolen back by the company without a refund, unlike Platinum Games games.[Babylons Fall]
For me arrow head is a good looking boss with some awesome moves. The abilitys on this guy are good and pretty interesting. The design is amazing and creative, soo by far my favorite. Other bosses are also fun...
That reaper lady was too well designed not to be a "vergil" to the main characters, hopefully they get money for a sequel because it is a fun game with a solid story and while that red blue stuff bugged me, I think it may be possible to design the AI to allow it to function in a sequel (even if it gets reserved for a 2nd playable character and not Briar/Lute fusion), I mean doom eternal only has one enemy that is only possible to hit with one weapon but I feel it worked well so if they make the Ai function so that their patterns allow for you to more seamlessly flow between targeting red enemies and blue enemies and also have less enemies of specific colors in rooms then I think it may actually be really engaging and possibly even surpass DMC in terms of enemy complexity (not combat obviously dante has been basically built upon since the first game like 20 years ago)
@@JabaPlay I just find it weird that this is the case. For games from this genre especially, there's usually around two or three that pop up just hours after the game's released.

Just finished the game, although it have some obvious flaws it still a good game. And the story is pretty good, I'm looking forward for how the plot goes on in the sequel.
well this looks like a cool game and interesting story. the dialog is okay, but the camera and movement of the characters.... well there is room to make it smoother ^^
As far as I understand it, it went rather like this: -Lord Dugal approached Donovan with the offer that Donovan's daughter, Hannah, could be saved from her terminal disease by becoming a Chimera. This made Hannah unable to die, but also gave her some sort of horrid spectral pains when called forth. So Donovan suppresses Hannah as to hopefully ease/lessen her pain. -Briar and Lute's village is attacked, Dugal takes an interest in both girls and has them brought with to forge them into a chimera. I believe this is the tipping point for Donovan to fully oppose Dugal, and forms a small alliance with Layton. -Layton and Donovan were already known to Dugal as traitors, so when Donovan finally confronts Dugal, the latter has a Reaper fight Donovan which compromises his Chimera crystal-- which would lead to his Transcendence. -From here, he sent the armored carriage with an unconscious/restrained Donovan towards Ilden-- and he and Hannah transcend into the mutated being that you fight as the end boss. Donovan does manage to reverse his Transcendence --for a time-- but before he can achieve that, Hannah basically overrides the control of their Transcended form and gives J&J and Armina and the other guy their stable Transcended forms. And from there, Donovan tries to help Briar and Lute while keeping off Hannah's influence to the best of his abilities. Until they transcend again for the final time, and become the end boss.
@@jurtheorc8117 So it was Donovan trapped in the carriage, wierd Armina and the others did not mention it, they had to know who he was. Thanks for explaining all that.

just skimmed through the fights, honestly pretty disappointing. It's like mediocre PS3 game level of bosses. Steelrising bosses were also very sub par after thymesia actually had a few really good bosses
Felt the opposite way between Steelrising and Thymesia: The former's bosses were mostly great encounters (though the final boss felt anticlimatic, it was a good fight but didn't feel like a final boss), while the latter had about two good ones at best of the few it has while the rest were not enjoyable specially the final boss being a mirror match, the two gimmick fights, and the two rematches. That said, consider Steelrising a better experience overall than Thymesia (as long as you don't go for elemental/grenade builds on the former to cheese everything), as wasn't fond of the quick repetetitiveness (for a short game with little replayability) and lack of combat variety of the latter. As per Soulstice: Its serviceable overall. Can understand the design choices here since this is heavily inspired in oldschool hack-'n'-slash games than soulslikes. That said, with modern takes such as Bayonetta, Nier: Automata and DMC5, it falls short by comparison while doing great compared to older examples (because yes, do agree it feels like a X360/PS3 game, and a good one at that). For what it is is a nice AA-experience, and wish modernized hack-'n'-slash games were better explored.
@@diegosaez4885 didn't you basically just agree? the final boss for thymesia was very good I'd say actually for souls like standards. Especially considering other souls likes had terrible final bosses even compared to other bosses in their respective games. Final boss, Urd, the big knight and first boss were very good. They felt similar to good Nioh bosses. In comparison soulstice or steelrising or something like surge have bosses that are nowhere near as good.
