I am an animal communicator by profession and I watch your videos, as I enjoy seeing your empathy and great care for animals. This video made me so happy. The world needs more animal sanctuaries like yours. ❤❤❤
Shearing a sheep is hard work. You have done great. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You have happy and relaxed sheep which is wonderful. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Julian & Rachel, you did an awesome job and Young Yuki and he looks good. How fortunate to have received that power bank, it certainly brings power to those more remote places at the Sanctuary😊
You're both brilliant. He was very chilled and he'll be so much cooler. You can always tidy him up later but sure he's not bothered. Lovely Yuki. Makes my heart break for all the poor sheep brutally and carelessly sheared. 🙏
Thank you so much for sharing your story. My family found you on Cuddle Buddies with Ronnie and Steve🤩. All the animals are blessed to have you and Rachel.God Bless you both . Love from Borrego Springs California. You did a great job shearing and your music was perfect.🙏❤️🙏
Clipping any animal is no mean feat! I think you guys did an amazing job considering it was your first time. He's more comfortable, nobody got hurt, and that's all that matters! ❤
Oh my goodness, if anyone wants to criticise you, ignore them!!!! You guys are amazing.....doing it so the animal feels better❤ I wish many more humans would have as much love and care like the 2 of you, you are 2 if the most beautiful, caring people i have ever seen. Thank you for loving and caring for all of your beautiful animals. It fills my heart with love and always makes me smile 😊❤❤🇦🇺
I’ve become a bit fascinated by shearing and have never seen a sheep,as relaxed as Uki (sp?). Of course he’s very much a pet which makes it different from shearing a herd. I don’t think how it looks matters, lol. Animals don’t care how they look, bless them. The main thing is not to hurt him.
Bless you both for taking on such a difficult job! There’s no way my ex and I could have done it, but we had Suffolks and they are huge! We had a professional and I loved watching him. That lanolin is a killer on the shears, but you both did wonderful! What a precious, relaxed boy ❤️😍
You are amazing, getting him so relaxed and cuddling with him. I have sheep, and they don't like being handled. Just stroking them makes them wary, as they are very timid usually. Having just a few sheep must bring a much stronger bond.Put sheep shearing on your cvs!💝
Who cares what the outcome looks like as long as it achieves what is needed & the sheep are comfortable as a result. I think Yuki looks gorgeous & he's probably feeling so good! You did well! 👏 🥰🙏❤️🐑
I think you both do a fabulous job. The care and wellbeing of the animals is always uppermost in your minds. I am sure Yuki is thrilled to be cool and he doesn't know what his haircut looks like anyway. Well done to you both ❤❤
You two are so awesome you’re love for these animals and your videos you make me smile and laugh every time it is so precious to me thank you both for your hard work what a wonderful couple love 💕 from Canada
Fantastic work, you lovely folk. You did your bestest, enabling him to be as comfy and as little stressed as possible. I bet he feels so much better However, you DO realise, don't you, that Steve and Ronnie will be nicking that power pack to set up a Rave DJ business? We wait to see the results! Cheers, m'dears!!
Hello from Hawaii! I just started watching you recently and I'm so enjoying your videos. It's so crazy how those donkeys lean their heads on you. It's adorable. Appreciated the Puccini!! My favorite aria, thanks to an introduction via Malcolm McLaren. But I digress. Thanks for the great videos. Love your sense of humor and all the lovely critters.
Bravo, flippin great job. What a lovely relaxed little darling. And yep, went to get a perm years ago and came out looking like Wirzzel Gummage ( scarecrow) 😢😂😂
He's set for the summer and that's what counts. I cut my own hair and sometimes it looks like an attack by sheep shears 🤣 Hey, it grows back and all is well.
Oh gosh your sheep was more relaxed than I was watching this! Did you play that lovely music to him? Bless you for being so gentle. Surely some sheep shearer from here in NZ could volunteer to help you next year. Loved your 'holiday' comment! You are both gems you two! Take care
well done for loving a sheep instead of brutally exploiting it ..i heard from a young man who worked sheep shearing in England the way its normally done is traumatizing for the beautiful darlings ..the young man said he had to be very rough with them because they fought hard against the farmers out of fear and then he said the sheep were stupid ..i could never like him again
I spent a year in Scotland teaching at Glasgow University back in the mid-90s. I was flabbergasted when one of my Scottish colleagues (who was a very nice guy otherwise) told me that as a young guy he'd worked shearing sheep as his summer job. He informed me that sheep were vermin. He told me this after I told him about a friend and myself (both of us from the US) crossing on the ferry from Isle of Skye and having the misfortune to be parked on the boat next a a giant 3-decker truck that was crammed with sheep. We were discussing the horror for those sheep in our car when I looked in the sideview mirror and saw the truck driver watching me in that mirror... when he saw I was looking at him, he drew his finger across his neck and smiled. Always wondered how he knew that me and my friend were talking about his death truck and the fact that we were on the ship of doom.
😂Great job! All your rescues feel comfortable & well fed. It is what it is😂 HEY, u really do own a house of fashion! Steve always gives you nice shirts w stretched out, nibble neckline😂
I would much rather see it done your way, slow and easy, than like the pros who leave nicks and cuts. I am from the States but was in AU for a bit, where I saw a sheep shearing competition up close and personal. I felt so bad for the numerous beasts who ended up bleeding. No one can fault the job you did 😊
Bravo!! You are such wonderfully brave souls! It is hard to learn how to use clippers (I know because I used to help in my husbands dog grooming shop.) I think you did an excellent job! Yes, folks clippers get hot with use and the spray is the way to cool them down. Looked like Yuki was sleeping at one moment. He will be much more comfy this summer. Have you found a spinner or knitter to take the yarn? You could auction it off to raise some funds? How many more need shearing? I say good job! p.s. The power supply looks great!
I watch one of those cheer ladies who does 500 sheep in five seconds while she’s amazing. She always talks about getting the clipper too hot and to be careful of wrinkling or pulling the skin while you sheer and nicking the animal. So it looks like you’re doing a bang up job to me because I don’t see her using the thing to cool off the blade.! nor does she cuddle the animal while it gets done. It shows the amount of trust that she has in the two of you. It’s funny. I picked today to shear my haircut. Uki And I kinda look alike.
There must be some much better shears on the market that would make this chore so much easier on all of you. Is anyone watching that can recommend better shears? The sheep is being so patient and easy going. Julian is so self conscience doing this shearing and being so careful. Anyone out there to recommend how to make this easier? I have seen sheep sheared but know nothing about it. Good luck, I hope someone steps up for you.
So, Yuki's much lighter which means more fun playing. Yay!!! You can put another set of shears on a wish list. When the first gets too hot, put it aside and use the second.
Not sure the sheers should get that hot so quick. He was such a good boy, bet he feels better. He still looks like a sheep and not cropped so short he looks like a goat lol.
I think that sheep was so relaxed he was expecting a massage and a pedicure afterwards!!!!
😂😂

Mr. Sheep could not look more relaxed and trusting. That comes from love, actually!!! Niiice job👍
Thank you VTOMAN for gifting the power station to the Sanctuary. 🥰 I hope other companies will become sponsors.
I really hope that one of those critics decides “I can’t watch this. I’m heading there next Summer and I’m doing the shearing for them!”
@cosmos278. 🤣😂 👏👏👏. I kinda think that they might hope the same thing! 😅🤞
Uki is a sweetie. I appreciate you being so gentle.
Yuki is a rockstar. How sweet and patient is he? What a love bug.
Boy he was so chill during his sharing great job
I think you are doing a fabulous job, and the sheep is throughly enjoying it.
Sweet Yuki! He loves you and trusts you. He knows he is being care for with love. ❤
Thanks for the special guest star, Mr. Sheep for his cooperation. 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Julian & Rachel, you did an awesome job and Young Yuki and he looks good.

exactly my thoughts❤
Mine, too. It's why I boycott commercial wool.

Yuki: A 2-hour cuddle…this is AMAZING! ❤
Don't think I will be rushing to book a hair appointment with you, Julian. 😂
He did quite well! So nice for summer!
Clipping any animal is no mean feat! I think you guys did an amazing job considering it was your first time. He's more comfortable, nobody got hurt, and that's all that matters! ❤
Fine job, Julian and Rachel. He's cooler and that's the point!
He looks fab and he is in the most loving of places that's all that matters. Good choice of music too! I'm crying here x
Looks like he had a day at a spa he was so relaxed Weldone guys 👍👍👍
You are the sweetest people on earth!
He was a very good boy ❤
I've got tears of laughter in my eyes looking at Yuki. Don't tell him. Give him a hug from me and hide mirrors for the next 2 years!
That little goat is so cute. That is the calmest sheep. You both do such good work for your animals!❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness, if anyone wants to criticise you, ignore them!!!! Love the choices of shearing musical accompaniment. Yuki looks calm and contented. Bravo!
Excellent job. It makes sense, but I did not realize that the shears get hot. You are on your way to a new career :)
As someone who has groomed my own fluffy white dogs I think I can say that you did a good job! Yuki seemed calm and happy for the cuddles.
Bless you both for taking on such a difficult job! There’s no way my ex and I could have done it, but we had Suffolks and they are huge! We had a professional and I loved watching him. That lanolin is a killer on the shears, but you both did wonderful! What a precious, relaxed boy ❤️😍
Julian/Rachel looks like a sheep spa day❤🥰Such a good baby❤They are going to feel so much better in the summer❤
LOL!!! LOVED THE "SHEEP SHEARING SYMPHONY MUSIC"!!!!!
Love watching y’all. USA

Looks like he lost a battle with a weed whacker! But he'll definitely be a happy boy when summer comes!!
Who cares what the outcome looks like as long as it achieves what is needed & the sheep are comfortable as a result. I think Yuki looks gorgeous & he's probably feeling so good! You did well! 👏 🥰🙏❤️🐑
As long as he feels better that is all that matters.
The sheep is being so good for you. He looks happy to get all that wool off of him!!! Praise the Lord! 🙌
Calmest sheep I have ever seen for procedure like this.
😊❤ Look at the yuki enyoing the hair cut 👍so cute
Awe... He is uniquely beautiful.
I think you both do a fabulous job. The care and wellbeing of the animals is always uppermost in your minds. I am sure Yuki is thrilled to be cool and he doesn't know what his haircut looks like anyway. Well done to you both ❤❤

Yuki was amazingly calm! I wouldn't have let you near me with that thing 🤣🤣🤣
Love the Puccini music in the background during sheering 🙂

Music to shear by - La Boheme and Gianni Schicchi, how lovely. No wonder Yukon was so calm!❤️🇨🇦❤️
Yuki. Damn that spell check.
He's set for the summer and that's what counts. I cut my own hair and sometimes it looks like an attack by sheep shears 🤣 Hey, it grows back and all is well.
With love and care, anything is possible! Looking good!❤
You both have done a beautiful job❤
Yuki is gorgeous

You did great! 😀
Well done not an easy job xx❤❤❤
It's not any worse than the "pandemic haircut" I gave my son a few years ago 😂
You do your best with what you've got. Kudos to you all ❤😊
wow, so hard to do ,,great job xox
The girls will be crazy about such a trimmed dude!❤

That's one chilled sheep
This reminds me of clipping my cocker spaniels for hot weather. It took hours, pausing to let them rest & allow the clipper to cool. Also, treats!
What a lovely video x
You guys are doing great!!!🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Hello from St. Louis. I give you an A for effort & he is so calm so don’t be so hard on yourselves 🥰🥰🥰
But Yuki wanted a Mohawk not a Moe haircut! 😂
you've given a wonderful happy belly laugh! thank you for sharing this ❤
Great job!
Aww, Sweet Yuki!! ❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thankfully there are no mirrors in the shed 😂😂😂 honestly I think it looks good...
Well done! ❤
He looks wonderful 😂😂😂
Will the other animals tease him? Or, will they be kind? ❤️😆
😂THIS IS TOO GREAT ❤️👏🥰

I say good job!
p.s. The power supply looks great!
Power pack speedy sheep shear! 😅😅
Does it slice bread? 😂😂
Takes me an hour to clip my small Yorkshire terrier with his fine coat so I feel your pain 😂
I watch one of those cheer ladies who does 500 sheep in five seconds while she’s amazing. The haircut isn't so bad. It will grow.
❤❤❤❤❤
So, Yuki's much lighter which means more fun playing. Yay!!! You can put another set of shears on a wish list. When the first gets too hot, put it aside and use the second.
Least you can shear , more than I can do !! Lucky laddie bet he is more comfortable now. What do you do with his wooly coat ?
you did a wonderful Job! I would love to be one of our Sheeps
LOL! Poor guy. That’s some haircut! Quicker using shears though harder on the hands. Good luck.
I’m always nervous about shaving my very small dog with electric clippers. Can’t imagine using those big sheers.
I think it’s such a loving way to sheer him. Are this couple married?
Not sure the sheers should get that hot so quick. He was such a good boy, bet he feels better.
He still looks like a sheep and not cropped so short he looks like a goat lol.
👍👏😅Wonderful.Jobs a good un.💐xx
Could you get a second sheerer and keep swapping so they can cool?
Great idea!
Did you try singing the sheep a soothing song during his shearing?
got any new vids of Ronnie/Steve and their gang Well he won't win a beauty contest but is KOOOOLLed off
Interesting
Yeah 😆 old man's shave. Hey Yuki is certainly cooler... as in reduced heat.
