Great shift of perspective! I left a stern note for the upstairs neighbors that their kids running all over before 5 am was not acceptable. They are still noisy but not so early.
Dealing with a loud neighbor below me letting her teenage son have his music loud and the bass. Landlord got involved. Still happening but not as loud and I use ear plugs when its on.Thing is, she moved the son into her one bedroom apartment without the landlord knowing. Luckily she will be moving within the next few months. Fingers crossed and good luck to you with your situation.
I too, was worried about Jules' "rant" about the construction machinery, sleep deprivation, etc....and think we may have to ask Rachel for an opinion here. As Julian seemed a bit aggressive in re his fellow man( operating the noisy machines at strange hours....sorta' like a donquie braying at inopportune times)...would I be mistaken in my observations, recorded and available here, for ready reference, ....that nearly the identical "logic" was whispered into Barrys' and Princes' ears as the need for them to "lose" their "family jewels"...in an attempt to "cure" such aggressiveness?? And would I be remiss, as an animal planet sharer, in my belief that "what's good for the goose, is good for the gander!"...leading to the only conclusion, that with Rachel's decision, that it is now past time, really, for Jules to become less "jewelfull"??? Rachel...what say ye?? TY JRAS...for all the fun in '21...and more to do in '22...just sayin'....🎭🤔😬🤣😅😂🙂🙃🤣😂🙃😄😇👀
Many of us older people have never stopped isolating, so I think we've found new ways to occupy ourselves. Personally, I've never followed so many new (to me) TH-cam channels, nor have I made as many donations. Even though I'm very low income, it's money I would have frittered away on gas for my car or buying something unnecessary had I not been staying home for two years! I've fallen in love with many animal rescue channels and Jacob's Ridge is one of them. You give me laughs and relaxation...so, thank you.💐😊

We had a neighbor for years that let their dog bark off and on all night 45 feet from our window. We slept on the kitchen floor just trying to get some sleep. It took probably 15 years off of my life

Locking the feed shed: forgiven. The Vet neutering the donkeys: forgiven. Never giving enough treats or feed: forgiven. I'd count my blessing if I were you, Julian, or else you're totally screwed! One day at a time...if I lived near those machines I'd simply turn the donkeys loose and let them play with the hydraulic hoses!

What can help you sleep is at bed time, put a drop of lavender oil on your pillow, drink a cup of chamomile tea or another one is called sleepy time tea, put the dog's in an area where they can OT hear the const.noise which may mean to play louder easy listening music in their room overnight to drown out the const.noise. also doctors put a wind and wave noise box just outside their door to drown out other noises. Just a few things. Avoid violent T V shows at least an hour before sleep time. One last 5hing, take a melatonin supplement pill before you sleep. Calms the body down too. All the Best.

We bought our forever home 30 years ago on a half acre. A year ago the land around us was sold to Industry. Now there's buildings bulldozers dust and lots of noise. Dealing with a loud neighbor below me letting her teenage son have his music loud and the bass. Landlord got involved. Still happening but not as loud and I use ear plugs when its on.Thing is, she moved the son into her one bedroom apartment without the landlord knowing. Luckily she will be moving within the next few months. Fingers crossed and good luck to you with your situation.

I too, was worried about Jules' "rant" about the construction machinery, sleep deprivation, etc....and think we may have to ask Rachel for an opinion here. As Julian seemed a bit aggressive in re his fellow man( operating the noisy machines at strange hours....sorta' like a donquie braying at inopportune times)...would I be mistaken in my observations, recorded and available here, for ready reference, ....that nearly the identical "logic" was whispered into Barrys' and Princes' ears as the need for them to "lose" their "family jewels"...in an attempt to "cure" such aggressiveness?? And would I be remiss, as an animal planet sharer, in my belief that "what's good for the goose, is good for the gander!"...leading to the only conclusion, that with Rachel's decision, that it is now past time, really, for Jules to become less "jewelfull"??? Many of us older people have never stopped isolating, so I think we've found new ways to occupy ourselves. Personally, I've never followed so many new (to me) TH-cam channels, nor have I made as many donations. Even though I'm very low income, it's money I would have frittered away on gas for my car or buying something unnecessary had I not been staying home for two years! I've fallen in love with many animal rescue channels and Jacob's Ridge is one of them. You give me laughs and relaxation...so, thank you.💐😊

We had a neighbor for years that let their dog bark off and on all night 45 feet from our window. We slept on the kitchen floor just trying to get some sleep. It took probably 15 years off of my life

Locking the feed shed: forgiven. The Vet neutering the donkeys: forgiven. Never giving enough treats or feed: forgiven. I'd count my blessing if I were you, Julian, or else you're totally screwed! One day at a time...if I lived near those machines I'd simply turn the donkeys loose and let them play with the hydraulic hoses!

What can help you sleep is at bed time, put a drop of lavender oil on your pillow, drink a cup of chamomile tea or another one is called sleepy time tea, put the dog's in an area where they can OT hear the const.noise which may mean to play louder easy listening music in their room overnight to drown out the const.noise. also doctors put a wind and wave noise box just outside their door to drown out other noises. Just a few things. Avoid violent T V shows at least an hour before sleep time. One last 5hing, take a melatonin supplement pill before you sleep. Calms the body down too. All the Best.

This is a beautiful, no spectacular, video. Thank you for everything you do for the animals and for sharing with all of us. The love you have for the donkeys, horses, pigs, goats, cats and dogs, and God knows what else, always manages to spread across the oceans and, of course, the internet. We can truly feel it and we then feel a part of your efforts. I love my coffee mug, but now I need to go and order something with "Bad Donkey Steve" on it since my husband's name is Steve. The irony!

We bought our forever home 30 years ago on a half acre. A year ago the land around us was sold to Industry. Now there's buildings bulldozers dust and lots of noise.
