Maybe it's about the damaging big floods they had in Windhoek a day ago?..A couple of comments made thus far are harsh to say the least. We in africa care for our wild animals and are probably leaders in conservation of all species. Ruben is not looking for monetary gratification for himself, but to help those that need the assistance the most. Its called humanity !..to both humans and animals
Thank you Ruben for sharing with us the struggles that are going on in Namibia due to the drought conditions. I had no idea that this was an issue, so very thankful to receive this education today. I hope that the needed rains do come…and I hope that in the future climate change can be shifted (ended?) where this does not happen. Thank you and your family for all you do to help support the wildlife, your farm animals, your employees and their families, plus all in your community. Thank you as well for sharing your videos with us…we as humanity need it.
Namibia, Her People and Animals remain in our Thoughts and Prayers for a bountiful Rainy season and a return to abundance for all. Sending Blessings 🙏💝
Namibia is in the midst of a severe drought. Yes, Ruben is correct that Namibia definitely needs help. If you feel moved to help, then help. If not please don’t leave unhelpful or critical comments. This is not the channel for that.
My heart breaks 💔 for the land of my birth. I remember how my ouma and oupa lived for their farm, the struggles with drought, walking out to the trough to run the borehole pump for the cattle twice a day. Even in their old age, when all of their kids were in one of the cities, they could have easily given up the struggle of the farm for the ease of the city, but they lived for the farm, there's nothing like seeing that first thunderstorm coming in, seeing the dry riverbed running, life coming back to the koppies, the infinity of the milkyway, the sounds of the bush at night. They struggled, but their hearts were in the bush. Simplicistic, down to earth. A few months before for my ouma passed she visited us in SA, and we drove down to KZN, I wont forget the love she had seeing the cattle, the connection with the locals struggling in a drought. Kyk net die koeie, die arme bok. Water was such precious resource, Namibians have had to adapt and are so much more water conscious. Thank you for highlighting this, aide resources for farmers from the state is so limited
So sad. Thank you for helping God’s creatures. May God bless you and you family. We take so much for granted in the United States. We forget how fortunate we are. I will pray for you, your family, and your country.❤️
It’s wonderful to see the altruistic efforts to help the wildlife. It’s surprising how much time and money Ruben’s family devotes to this task. They are truly dedicated to all animals.
I love watching your videos. It’s so very sad to see so much drought in Namibia. Jehovah God promises a time when the desert will blossom like a rose. We are longing for that time and for the animal life to have every thing they need to not just survive, but to flourish again.
I’m supporting the channel Food Forest Namibia. He is making great progress green his property with water catchment. Is ultimate goal is to get his whole village on board! Baby steps, but he is making an impact! Green attacks rain!
Drought is such a scourge. I fear it will only become more frequent, given the damage done to the earth. Poor animals and humans. Those first drops…it’s hard for people who never experienced drought just to undestand how that feels.
I'm soooo sorry what you're dealing with, water is a necessity to every form of life! I see the rain in the distance at the 1:05 mark. God Bless you & your family for caring for the animals, you're a beautiful family!
We lived in the ranch lands of the Big Bend region of Texas. Draughts were (and are) all too real there as well. An old life-long rancher in his 90's lived in the south part of the county near the Mexican border. We'd often get rain when they wouldn't down south, yet he always clung to hope. "One day closer to rain," he would say....
Have you considered water conservation measures like digging half moon shaped holes to help gather any water that does fall. There are videos online of people doing this in other parts of the of Africa. There is a channel from Texas doing this as well as putting in small dams following the water run off directions to help allow water to be absorbed.
I live in a state (NY) where we have absolutely an abundance of blessings. Including plenty of precipitation. I ought to be ashamed for ever complaining. Thank you Ruben. God bless, and love to all the animals on the farm.
What a nice thing to say I live below in central Pennsylvania where there are green hills and dairy farms I’m also very grateful for living in such a mild temperate climate
I'll never live away from the coast of South Florida again, after going from Miami Beach to Sebring and now to SWFL because those comparatively rainless years only 60 miles inland with endless days of beautiful sunny weather were way more depressing than the days long rains i grew up with.
😊 sorry to hear about the droughts in your country. I see the pain in your eyes while you speak of it. I wish you rain and food for you and the farm. Bless you and your family.. ❤
Ruben, praying daily for you and all Namibians to be blessed with healing rains and recovery. Hope the rains come soon and are plentiful! God bless you all.
Ons bid vir julle Ruben ..vir goeie reens en hulp met baie bale voer en dit wat julle benodig ...hoop mense kan ook water skenk..behou geloof Ruben..baie baie sterkte met alles..❤❤❤
I remember a time in South Africa when we went for about 4 years without a measurable rain fall. I think I was about ten years old, so that puts it around 1965. The smell of the rain when it comes, is a sweet and clean smell. That memory still lingers, and although I live in Canada, on the we(s)t coast I still miss the storms that we used to get in the highveld. I hope you are blessed with some serious rainfall.
I have been to Namibia twice in the past 15 years and can certainly attest to the obvious effects of prolonged drought. It is a serious threat to their country. Economic collapse is not a certainty but is definitely a possibility. As a person who loves Sub-Saharan Africa I can only hope the situation improves soon.
They have new systems that are absurdly expensive now but hopefully the costs will come down and the efficiency will improve. Ranches in Arizona are using a system that collects moisture from the air and turns it into water.
Have you looked at the Greening of the Sahara? It's a world something or other. 1000s of hectares have been taken back, using berms and swales. Slows the torrents of water when it rains and grows plants/ trees. Urge you to look and implement the changes. It's spectacular what has been achieved. The smell of rain on the ground is called petrichor 😊
We in South Africa are in the same situation as far as water is concerned. We are also experiencing a drought currently. The sound of thunder is like music to our ears, but there isn't much rain. We also need prayers for much needed rain.
I can feel your heartache brother, your love for animals is inspirational, I know that you're just trying to help them, and I'm sure you work your ass off to bring them water everyday. I wish I had money when things like this happen, it's the only time that I wish I had money. I'm praying for you, and all the wild animals. Have you heard of those cloud curtains? They're made out of recycled plastic and they have little hooks all over them millions of them that collect the water out of the air. They use them in lots of desert places where water can be too high to land on the soil. God bless you Ruben and God bless the animals in Namibia. It breaks my heart to see you so sad, and the animals so thirsty and skinny. Native American, staying strong Native prayers for you.
Ruben, go to the Co-op and get a new tap for that iffy one, and show us how you replace it. At this moment it looks like the entire Northern Cape to Namibia is suffering, my heart goes out to the farmers and wild life. Stay strong.
Australia is the driest continent, we know all about the cyclical ten year drought it;s hell on lifestock. But God always hears us. Sorry to hear of your sad situation. remember tomorrow is a new day. God bless and take care. Thank you for showing your love for all your animals We follow you. just subbed. Take care
I raise cattle in Texas. Drought is our largest challenge among all the hardship in agriculture. Our Roman Catholic rural parish regularly prays for "good weather." I shall offer a prayer for your farm.
In Belgium it’s snowing … it’s winter. In the spring, summer and fall we got lots of rain. Sometimes too much. Although we have all that water falling out of the sky we sometimes also struggle with shortages of potable water. Most people in Europe take opening the tap and getting clean water for granted. There is so much water waisted … I hope you get your rain and be able to fill out your water reserves.
Living in the southwest of North America I am very familiar with droughts, I live in a more rural area and only have about 2.5 acres but we have a water trough that I like to make sure I filled so that the wild animals near where I live at least have a source of water, I have seen Deer drinking from it and Javelinas and I'm sure there are other types of animals i don't see at night using it.
You and yours are in our hearts and prayers from the USA, it's global warming and unfortunately, the president - elect is a climate denier ...if we can do anything to help, pls let us all know...

Raised in Arizona and know very well the feeling you get when the storms come in. Water is life.❤️

Well spoken sadly immaturity is showing the meaning of idiotism, they will be the first to cry begging for help if they are affected 🤗

The smell of rain touching the grass after a long period of sun is so soothing

Northern Namibia had really good rains the past week. Praise God!
