I am no longer United Methodist but I was for the first 40 years of my life. However it is precious to my heart. I am so glad to see this movement . I have been watching for years! God bless you all! Go make disciples of Jesus!
I have watched these videos at least 2 times so I can remember exactly how to talk about leaving the UMC to my Church Council very soon. Pray for those of us who have not been advised or helped by our clergy at all.
I am a Roman Catholic. Your videos have been helpful and informative. I pray for the GMC and that the post separation UMC sees the light. Again thankyou and may God bless you in your ministry.
Lord bless you Bro Rob for your love of our precious Lord and the souls attending and coming into our Global Methodist Church. I've we spent many months praying for understanding in our Denominational split, shed many tears for the loss of teaching God's truth and standing on His Word not only in our Methodist churches, but other denominations as well. The enemy is running rampid in this hour and is the master of deception. The waiting to go thru all these steps to leave the UMC and begin as the Global Methodist Church has been trying. I am so thankful and humbled to be a part of the family of believers who have the same heart and love for God's Word and the lost. The leaders of our new Global church, I believe, have a clear vision of what God has intended all along for His people, to love others greatly, to reach out to the hurting, not just in our church, and to teach deciples of Christ to go into the world and spread the word of God. Our church is voting August 14th whether to disfellowship or stay? I can't wait for this vote. I know the heart of our church is to follow Jesus and His commandments to" Go ye " was not a suggestion, but direct commandment. How can we call Him the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and not follow His directions. Grace and Peace follow you Brother Rob and continue in your ministry and faithfulness to God.
I was christened in the UMC, raised in the UMC and I will spend my last day on Earth as an United Methodist Church member. This divide is HEARTBREAKING to me. I'm in Birmingham, AL where this past June, the gorgeous, historic downtown First UMC had a screening of a popular cartoon where two males were married. This cartoon was banned from the local broadcast network that was scheduled for. So after the church's screening of this cartoon, the congregation had a 'mock' reception, serving cake and apple juice. I cannot roll my eyes loud enough. This made national news, by the way. Thank you so much Brother Rob, for explaining this all in laymen's terms. I'm in the process of finding a new church home so this information will surely help me to move forward. I think what saddens me the most is losing the title UMC. I wish the traditionalist would keep that title. It was ours first. God Bless Us All 🙏
Thank you Rob for sharing in this video series. So many people think the split is only about sexuality. Some conservative methodist pastors think that the progressives are the ones forming the GMC (possibly due to the word "global", I guess. Maybe their thinking "globalists"? Honestly, if I was a total outsider to the church, I would probably assume the global part does mean "globalist". In modern times the word globalist does have a very negative connotation. So, it is an unfortunate name choice.). But, I digress. The info you've shared is very helpful and appreciated!
So excited to see much of the Methodist church choosing the way of the scriptures. So many denominations have fallen into the deep hole of progressivism
Please pray for our Church, we vote to disaffiliating from the UMC Breaks my heart what is going on with UMC My husband is a Direct descendent of John Wesley, I left the Methodist church for about 20 years went to non-denominational ,came back did not realize all of this stuff was going on, for many years as I was extremely active in the Methodist Church, I never guess I never paid that much attention to the book of discipline discipline whatever ,to me my whole life there’s only one book one word one gospel and that’s the Bible, it’s the same yesterday today and tomorrow, I don’t care how woke society gets there’s no place in churches for it. I am heartbroken I did not realize all of this was going on but I pray that our church can do it because they’re making it financially hard for us, I mean I can’t vote because I’m not a member. But I believe everybody will vote to leave. So please pray for us I was crying as I listen to all of your TH-cam‘s I did not know all of this was going on. It breaks my heart but God is in control. I don’t understand how people can go so far away from the Bible, away from Jesus the only way. Pray for us please
Became a United Methodist in 1969 just one year after the church formed. For over 50 years I supported the church, became a lay minister and made sure that I paid my 10% each and every year. As an Air Force officer I was in over 15 different churches over 24 years. Some were progressive, some in the middle and some very conservative. I managed to work in all of them. However, when this situation came to a head in 2019 our pastor decided to have a series of information meetings. At these he refused to allow any questions or to confront what our problems with gay ordination or marriage problems were. That was the end. At age 70 I meet with the Priest at a local Catholic church, I did my year long Rites of Initiation for Catholic Adults. I am now a faithful Catholic. I am at peace because I now belong to a church that does not abandon doctrine for cultural reasons.
I also just watched all 6 episodes. This is what I needed to hear. Thank you for your clearly delivered information on the status of the deep divide in our church. This truely saddens me as I am sure it saddens Jesus.
Very clear and complete. I am a Christian that grew up in an Independent Church. Back as far as I can remember my Church taught Bible Only. Salvation by Christ Only. Ect. When my friends asked about my faith(in the 70's when folks asked things like that) I was embarrassed by being nondenominational. We talked about the liberal break-off DOC. I now am attending a Methodist Church and my understanding of it was beside Babtist the most conservative, that pleased me. I watched the last 50 years as Denominations moved AWAY from the Bible. Now I see the Methodist also having this happen. Very sad. I have been going there about 3 months so do not know all that is there yet. I do know one thing, Satan will not quit attacking but God is still the Victory. God Bless
Bless you Rob for your guidance in helping me understand what is happening. As a member of The Woodlands Methodist Church, I now am positive in the church I want to worship and serve.
Thank you, Rob, for speaking the hard truth about the UMC. As with many others, I have felt we were losing Wesleyan Methodism, Jesus and the true message of the gospel for years. As a Certified Lay Minister, I lovingly contended with my Senior pastor over the watered down messages he gave week after week. It never occurred to him that the lack of growth of that church, both spiritually and numerically, was symptomatic of a direct result of his approach. As a product of Perkins seminary, he had been schooled in the liberal theology you have clearly outlined in this series. When we moved to a new UMC congregation, the pastor there, realizing my traditional position, kept me at arms length in serving. Finally, in 2021, I realized it was time to go. Now, a new GMC startup is forming in our city and we are excited about its future and the future of Wesleyan Methodism in our area.
For any parishes leaving the UMC and which remain undecided on joining the GMC; please consider both the Reformed Episcopal Church or The Anglican Church in North America. These two church bodies have maintained orthodoxy. While being liturgical, they allow for wide variations in worship style from High-Church smells and bells to evangelical contemporary worship. It may be refreshing for many Methodist to come back home to the church of the Wesleys. Prayers for you all in your endeavor to honor the authority of Holy Scripture!
I watched all the videos in one sitting. Thank you so much for this. I shared it with a couple of our Admin members. I hope and pray our church will make the right decision, and go with the Global Methodist Church.
I easily watched all six episodes in one sitting, ( I guess that that is called binging). Great videos and information. I am ready to vote for GMC for TWMC in August. Thank you.
Joshua 1:9- ‘Being strong and courageous’ matters! You sir, are a blessing to the Gospel and to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! I pray for your fruitful way forward!
Rob Renfroe is a man of God. We do, however, disagree on the direction of the United Methodist Church. I believe that the UM Church understands the global perspective better than those that would like to dis-affiliate. I've travelled the world many times and know how the Church Abroad connects with the ministry of our United Methodist Church. We embrace the poor and love those that struggle to understand the vision of Jesus! Help us give to those that need us most!!! That is Our vision. Bless you ALL! Jesus really is Lord!!!
Some of the most inspiring points are made in this #6 in the video series: The inspiring stories of pastors that were judged to be Too conservative for the methodist church and went on to lead very successful growing churches. And, this #6 video of the series answered a burning question I've had: Will the GMC appoint female pastors and bishops? Looks like the answer is yes. Gender-confusion lives on, not just in our declining general society, but evidently in the GMC. Gender-confusion is the basis that leads to openly gay clergy. I hope the path is not being set for the GMC to become another version of UMC. Conservative UMC churches are free to leave to another denomination, but the same problems are happening to all the major denominations. Even the Baptist church (the last bastion of denominational christianity) is falling to the wayside. I've heard it said that it's Not a matter of "women sit down", but it IS a matter of "qualified men stand up, and step up". Men and women were both created by God and both are precious and worthy. But, each of God's creations has a specific purpose. As GOD says in Genesis 2:18, woman was created to be a Helper and Companion (not a leader or co-leader). Paul, in 1 Timothy 3:2, clearly speaks of "congregational leader" or “overseer” as "he". Paul mentions that the leader should be faithful to “his” wife (obviously, the leader that Paul speaks of must be a “man” in order to have a wife). These related scriptures refer to “his wife”, so of course, congregational leaders cannot be homosexuals, either. Some church people disregard these specific gender-roles because they have become like the description in 1 Timothy 4:4 “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” Women should not be pastors, bishops, etc, according to 1 Timothy 2:11-15 (no authority over men). She should live a holy life with modesty by continuing to be trusting and loving. Even deacons (see 1 Timothy 3:8-13) are shown to be specifically Male (“a deacon must be faithful to “his” wife”). The term “man over the congregation” invokes several apostolic passages about the Messiah and His assembly. For example, Paul says, “The ‘man’ is the head of the woman even as Messiah is the head of the church” (Ephesians 5:23). The English word “church” mistranslates the Greek word for “assembly” or “congregation”. “He is also head of the body, the congregation” (Colossians 1:18). Peter told the congregation of Israel assembled in the Temple that “Jesus [is] the Messiah appointed for you” (Acts 3:20). He is “a Man whom [God] has appointed” (Acts 17:3) and “the One who has been appointed by God.” (Acts 10:42). -- Genesis 2:18 - "Adonai, God, said, “It isn’t good that the person should be alone. I will make for him a Companion suitable for Helping him.” -- 1 Timothy 2:11-15 -- 1 Timothy 3:2 -- 1 Timothy 3:8-13, deacon is specifically Male. Shammashim = deacon / servant-leader -- 1 Timothy 4:4
Bless you brother and excellent job on these videos. I was a life long Methodist until about six years ago when our family joined the Church of the Highlands in Alabama. COTH has 24 local campuses all in Alabama except one in Georgia. We also have churches in 22 Alabama state prisons. After attending COTH for awhile I commented to my family "These folks are more Methodist than the Methodist." In a 20 year period COTH has planted 1,000 churches world wide. I mention this as I honestly believe you could use COTH as a resource, including tapping talent from Highlands College. Eons ago, our company, Chesapeake Consulting worked with the UMC both on a national level and with the Baltimore-Washington Conference when Bishop Schol was there. Praying for your success. Blessings!!
Thank you so much for the series of explaining the truth behind the split! Mine in NE Florida is hopefully going to disaffiliate with the UMC successful! Blessings!
Rob, your perspective is very well communicated, and should reverberate with all my Methodist friends who seem to be ignoring the implications of the coming acceleration of the decline into progressivism. NOTE: I have one problem - I simply don’t understand how you can affirm the ordination of women in spite of the Biblical admonitions to the contrary. I’d love to hear (or read) your point of view on that subject.
Best Wishes! I have waited for it also.... but may not define it completely the same way. Conservative and Orthodox, yes..... Amen! Thanks for at least recognizing in your video that there are some of us, and others of the Orthodox Christian Faith, that may wish to take it even a step further than the GMC in our understandings of the Holy Scripture, so indeed there will be those who choose another way.
I am a Traditionalist and appreciate your message’s! They are informative and truthful! I pray for our Church Leaders and congregation during this time!
Thank you for the videos. I appreciate the presentation and information. I do feel the UMC is headed down the wrong and wide path. Our Congregation will be voting to approve a vote of disaffiliating or not. If we vote to disaffiliate, then our next vote will be to determine our next direction. I will continue to discern if the Global Methodist is the way to go. I have to admit that I am joining others in saying that the word Global is really holding me back. In today’s world “Global”does not promote positive unity but rather evil control. we are a praying church so I am sure our discernment will be answered by God’s guidance.
Very informative. Helpful to hear all sides… this along with Adam Hamilton’s message. Trying to figure out my place. May do some research on the Episcopal Church, too.
You are completely correct and what is so sad is these so called pastors are not saving souls instead they are leading souls to the devil and not salvation.
with due respect from Zimbabwe Episcopal Area. We are not gays, that is why God created Adam and Eve such that we will be fruitful and multiply, in my own opinion, if there are any congregants within the church who feels like going out , please let them go without imposing bogus theories. The changing world must not change the Gospel of Christ, we do not bulge to evil feelings and thoughts. Thank you.
Thank you Pastor Rob for this series of videos. Like some others who have commented, I think the "Global" and "G" word/letter choice and the term Traditional might be less than ideal, but the message is otherwise clear--a house divided against itself cannot stand.
Interesting and informative videos; thanks for producing these. One question…. Why not simply join the Southern Methodist Church? Ever since the UMC was formed, it has drifted further and further from scriptural practices and polity. Southern Methodist Church, not so much.
The actress you referenced was Mary Pickford, not Mary Pickering. Two Mary Pickerings of that time were (1) an English painter and (2) an American translator of German literature. You are very compassionate about your desire to persuade me to leave my current UMC and not support my UM conference/bishop and, in turn, its larger jurisdiction. I certainly respect your position, though some of what you say in your six videos really dismisses my personal beliefs. I am a 71 year old female who is a cradle Methodist and who is a choir member of the choir that sings in the very traditional service at our church where I am very much at home and plan to remain. But I am clearly not traditional enough for the GMC based on your videos. But best wishes to you on what you feel compelled to accomplish.
As I am in a UMC church, currently considering disaffiliation, I appreciate the insights you provide in what is happening on a national level. I would ask, however, that you consider your comments in the 6th video beginning at timestamp 10:35 and the language you use criticizing other churches who are also serving the mission of Christ. In following GMC online, I also see these same flashes of meanness of spirit from time to time. The UMC is no longer for me, but I am not sure the GMC is for me either; I ask that you have a little more grace in acknowledging God works through other churches that are aligned and organized to follow the Holy Spirit’s direction in fulfilling their specific mission.
Pastor Rob, I appreciate that the new GMC will hold church leaders accountable by convening a trial court. I am reviewing "The Transitional Book of Doctrines and Discipline" on the new church website. Is this a changeable document? Obviously it required a great deal of work/time to design. Will these "rules" be amended through/during annual conferences? Will the trial court be decided by jury? If so, who will make up the jury? The challenge will be to be completely transparent yet avoid persuasion or influence to members of the jury. I thank God for those who are involved in closing the loopholes that the UMC has failed to address. These are challenging times. I know my God will provide what is needed (strength, courage, finances) to get it done.
Thanks, Eileen. If need be, future bishops may be "tried" or simply dismissed by their annual conferences. They will no longer be accountable only to other bishops. The Transitional Book will be changed at the first convening conference of the GMC. All churches who have joined will be able to help elect representatives who will modify it as they see fit. Just like the UMC's BOD is modified every four years. The difference is every pastor who joins the GMC will have to sign a statement that he or she fully supports our doctrines.
The United Methodist Church Congregation of which I ve been a member since leaving life in the parsonages of my life, to seek continuity after old days of being moved and my father s reassignments to new churches thankfully. no longer , In the UMC MYF days .My UMC is thriving and with. more love thy neighbor that sounds lacking in alternatives so far. Despite dissatisfaction.of this dissatisfaction.of the UMC there still wonderful.people. who deserve criticism . Opinion
Since all are Methodists. , staying or leaving the UMC,. One alternative to GMC. , Could be by dropping the Word united if leaving the UMC is not needed or then relevant, and then reorganizing by the title, The Methodist Church..
I ve read all the comments but have not noticed any mention of prayer ,and not just human efforts, decision making, thoughts ,action .in addition to the scriptures , prayer. Is another way to learn of God s will. The 2019 General Conference vote in St Louis cos still be reaffirmed in next. Yet s , 2024 General.Conferdnce. Impossible ? Just a reminder .is that All things are possible with God . Prayer and seeking His Guidance before taking a step. God is of course well aware of what s going on in any church situation . Belief/opinion
I’ve watched this entire series, and I can’t imagine these arguments are particularly convincing to people who are actually familiar with the Discipline. Mr. Renfroe has packaged a set of cherry-picked aberrations, novel interpretations of Scripture, and beliefs that are not now and never have been part of the Methodist Discipline as “traditionalism.” This is pure discord-sowing with no grounding in truth, and God’s Church will suffer for it.
I am 84 and been active all my life. However, I will vote to leave United Tuesday. If we don't have the proper of number of votes to leave, I will leave this church. I pray enough vote to leave.
There are other well-established churches in the Wesleyan family: Free Methodists, Nazarene, Wesleyan (denomination). What is the argument against moving our congregation to one of these denominations rather than something new?
I wouldn't argue against going with either one. They are both good options. The GMC is being formed by pastors, lay persons and bishops, we know and trust. It's an opportunity to start from scratch and create a missional movement that is true to the Bible and right for this moment and for the future. If you pressed me, and I hate being negative, the Free Methodist Church has been around for about 160 years and has less than 80,000 members in the US. That's not a great track record of bringing nonbelievers to faith in Christ and they haven't shown much of a commitment to starting new churches. The GMC is committed to beginning new churches in great numbers and already has 100 pastors who have told us that they want to start a new church. Again, not speaking against the others, but I am excited about where the GMC is headed.
@@robrenfroe8083 I appreciate your insight into the matter, it will help me make my decision. For some of us lacking a nearby GMC, yet living in proximity to a Free Methodist church, or Wesleyan or Nazarene congregation, one may find that the only practical way forward would be to join one of these other members of our Wesleyan family and do our utmost to encourage evangelism and church building, without giving the appearance of being the disruptive newcomer. I am moving at some point in the near future, so it remains to be seen where I will call my church home, but I can pray for the outcome and pray for GMC as well as all who call on the name of Christ.
@@robrenfroe8083 but you are speaking against others - you just dissed the Free Methodist Church. "If you pressed me, and I hate being negative, the FMC has been around for about 160 years and has less than 80,000 members in the US. That's not a great track record of bringing nonbelievers to faith in Christ...." ugh.
Having a reprieve before The next General.Conference , and there may be other alternatives to. The GMC . By dropping the word. United , could be The Methodist Church again.t many of us have always been
I watched all videos and you brought up a point that I cannot understand. “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.” 1 Corinthians 14:33-34 How can you find a difference between this scripture from a letter of Paul, but do find that there is a fundamental truth in the 6 verses that mention sexuality? This is clearly taking one verse as fundamental and not to be interpreted and the other as up for interpretation and not to be taken literally.
Vera, visit the website for the Global Methodist Church. If you don't find what you're looking for there, reach out to Angela Pleasants on their staff. I think her email will be on the website. God bless.
A retired District Superintendent told me yesterday that the situation may turn out differently in Africa, Eurasia and the Philippines where the traditionalists are in a strong majority. He claims that the UMC bishops there would have no reason to leave the UMC because, locally, the tenets of the Bible and traditional views of marriage are not questioned by the culture, including of course, the bishops and other leaders. In fact, he contends that globally, traditionalists would continue to outnumber progressives, even after many traditional congregations in the US and Canada leave UMC. It does foreshadow a stark contrast between a largely "progressive" UMC in North America/Europe versus an overwhelmingly traditionalist UMC in the rest of the world as the theological gap grows ever wider. How big a tent can they share? And for how long?
I m not leaving a Traditional.UMC S long as it remains that with what the Bishop in recent years over my church as per letter sent ,that no Ordained UMC Pastor could or would officiate at a gay wedding nor in a UMC Church Building , not send a gay Pastor to the UMC Church . All Christians should be welcome as we all do to repent of our sins ,but.notntp change the tradition of the church..
The Global Methodist Church ("GMC") considers gay to be "broken" sexuality. Join it at your own risk, and at the risk of those LGBT family members whom you love.
You had me from the beginning, these series of videos intrigued me. I know of many United Methodist churches in towns and cities across the country where I've traveled. I was hopeful of some sort of reformation taking place in the UMC, because there are certainly a lack of Bible believing, God fearing Pastor's in these towns and cities. But if you believe that God is doing something new and you continue to affirm women in the ministry, you'll inevitably wind up right back where the UMC has been for decades. Without a doubt women have a role, and opportunities in the furtherance the Gospel, but not from behind pulpits, or out in front in anyway shape, or form. And to my knowledge, God has never done anything new apart from His testaments to, and for the people of God. If indeed you believe in the inerrancy of the scripture, and it's actually the authoritative word of God, then believe Apostle Paul when he says "A woman is to learn quietly with full submission. I do not allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; instead, she is to remain quiet." That's not a cultural directive, it's a created order directive. Apostle Paul follows up in the next verse; "For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed." And that's not because she is to be inferior to man, it's only because the word of God was not given to her in the first place to delegate, she had no responsibility of arguing/answering of what God said. The word of God was given to Adam, Eve was not around. Look it up, I'd really appreciate your response.
There may be alternatives to GMC , much too.harsh, hurtful.comments of. Some while leaving the UMC in anger.,. Leaving behind hurtful Words about many wonderful.proplebon the UMC who do NOT deserve them
I gather since total. In Texas of de affilliating chhburches is 5 , and I so far in North Texas , of UMC congregatjons , there must not top.much mediocrity to complain about , since so far..
These examples of growing conservative churches in progressive cities are silly. There are examples of progressive churches growing in conservative cities too! That doesn't prove that one kind of church is better than the other. Silliness. BTW: "Gay stuff?" Brother. 🙄
Not a church for me. It's very instructive that, in all six videos, you did not cite Wesley a single time, nor even allude to Wesleyan doctrine. You claim to be Wesleyan, but note that you praise only non-Wesleyan churches in this video. Perhaps you need to leave the GMC for the Southern Baptists? You would probably feel much more at home there.
why the preoccupation with the citing of Wesley when only the citing of Jesus is the most important? He gave what the views of many on the upper levels of the UMC are regarding Christ's teachings and the Bible with some proccupation seeking to please worldly factions like LGBTQ instead of pleasing Christ, which is what is most important, yes?
I am no longer United Methodist but I was for the first 40 years of my life. However it is precious to my heart. I am so glad to see this movement . I have been watching for years! God bless you all! Go make disciples of Jesus!

LCMS pastor here. Great and informative summary of what's going on in the UMC as well as Christianity as a whole. All comes down to view of scripture.
Your video series has been a blessing. God Bless you and the Global Methodist Church,
Thank you Rob for sharing in this video series.
Oh, yes, I too have a problem with that name. It sounds creepy, like ONE WORLD ORDER. I guess it's too late to change the name.
If traditional UMC Congregations abandon the UMC ,what s to.become of The UMC , does one wonder ? I don t even want to. think about it.
I have listened to every one of these videos. You have confirmed in my mind where I stand. The GMC will be for me.
Thank you.
So excited to see much of the Methodist church choosing the way of the scriptures. So many denominations have fallen into the deep hole of progressivism
Please pray for our Church, we vote to disaffiliating from the UMC
Breaks my heart what is going on with UMC

I don’t understand how people can go so far away from the Bible, away from Jesus the only way. Pray for us please
Rob, these are so needed in these days! Thanks so much!
Thank you, brother.
PREACH! I'm in a different Wesleyan denomination, but I'm just getting blessed hearing you stand for the biblical gospel!
Amen.
The first century church died for that uncompromising stand.
Praise God and God bless you for leading your people
I also just watched all 6 episodes. This is what I needed to hear. Thank you for your clearly delivered information on the status of the deep divide in our church. This truely saddens me as I am sure it saddens Jesus.
Thank you for sharing your heart in all 6 videos. I truly enjoyed listening and I am so excited about the GMC! God bless
I have watched them all, and they have been very helpful. Thank you!
I never left the UMC , they left me. I’m coming back with the GMC. Thank you and praise God and our Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!
I watched all the videos in one sitting. Thank you so much for this. I shared it with a couple of our Admin members. I hope and pray our church will make the right decision, and go with the Global Methodist Church.
Thank you for sharing these!
Excellent videos, thank you!! Our church in Middle Georgia is planning to join with the GMC. How refreshing! Keeping in prayer for ALL. 🙏
Some church people disregard these specific gender-roles because they have become like the description in 1 Timothy 4:4 “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”
Women should not be pastors, bishops, etc, according to 1 Timothy 2:11-15 (no authority over men).
I will make for him a Companion suitable for Helping him.”
-- 1 Timothy 2:11-15
-- 1 Timothy 3:2
-- 1 Timothy 3:8-13, deacon is specifically Male. Shammashim = deacon / servant-leader
-- 1 Timothy 4:4
Blessings!
This is top of our prayer list....we love Jesus and know He WILL be exaulted....the Bible is our truth! We hold fast to our Affirmation of Faith!
I also wait for your reply to this. There seems to be no biblical basis. We are created Equal and Complementary, and far from the same.
As the daughter, granddaughter, great great granddaughter, great niece, and Cousin , of Methodist Ministers,I don t know what to.think..
i get so confused. I merely believe in God & Love Jesus ❤️ that is all I know. So I dont know where I fit ...lol thank you for your service.
This is an excellent series! Thank you. But one correction: Mary Pickford was the actress' name. :)
So
Much for loving thy.neighbor..
Thank you Rob😇
You're welcome, God bless you!
Thank you for speaking the truth with love.
Amen and Amen Pastor Rob!!!
Thank you! God bless you.
Thank you for your message!
I've learned a lot. Thank you
Very informative.
I think going independent is a better option for many.
I believe that also
I belong to Presbyterian (PCA) . My church is growing in leaps and bounds.
The difference is every pastor who joins the GMC will have to sign a statement that he or she fully supports our doctrines.
and by retaining the traditions. Worth keeping
AMEN!! Thank you!
Opinion
Also consider existing Wesleyan denominations that still embrace theological conservatism, such as The Wesleyan Church and The Church of the Nazarene.
In North Texas total ,1 number not printed .
Thank you 🙏❤️🙏 BLESSINGS TO GMC 🙏❤️🙏.
In Austin TX - where we can go to GMC or GMC like ? Thank you 🙏❤️
Since all are Methodists. , staying or leaving the UMC,. One alternative to GMC. , Could be by dropping the
Word united if leaving the UMC is not needed or then relevant, and then reorganizing by the title, The Methodist Church..
Just look at the fruit of these false preachers. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life!
What is meant by the GMC ?
What is the GMC's policy of practicing homosexuals and church membership? Are they permitted to partake of the Lord's Table?
How about the CMC? The Congregational Methodist Church. Biblically sound.
Do wish they would pick another name rather than " global". It does sound leftest.
For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.”
1 Corinthians 14:33-34
How can you find a difference between this scripture from a letter of Paul, but do find that there is a fundamental truth in the 6 verses that mention sexuality?
This is clearly taking one verse as fundamental and not to be interpreted and the other as up for interpretation and not to be taken literally.
Make sure you follow the Bible and follow Jesus not mans' ways In the end we stand before God
Where is a GMC near Eagle Rock, MO? I am not sure how our UMC church will chose
I am traditional.
Vera, visit the website for the Global Methodist Church. If you don't find what you're looking for there, reach out to Angela Pleasants on their staff. I think her email will be on the website. God bless.
I texted word Don t iny comment which was not printed .
Why create yet another Methodist Denomination and not just join one of the other already organized denominations?
John Ed...hmmm, didn't Frazier go Free Methodist??
John Ed is no longer the pastor there.
Yes
No.lpposite of what I wrote , printed , which is a lot wonderful.people who do NOT deserve criticisms.
Looks like you are a Christian.
Greetings from Germany.
Compromise with the values of the world is unbiblical
United Artists included Mary Pickford, not Mary Pickering.
My bad, thanks.
@@robrenfroe8083 Excellent videos, Rob!
@@tomfuller5585 thanks, brother.
If indeed you believe in the inerrancy of the scripture, and it's actually the authoritative word of God, then believe Apostle Paul when he says
"A woman is to learn quietly with full submission. I do not allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; instead, she is to remain quiet."
That's not a cultural directive, it's a created order directive. Apostle Paul follows up in the next verse;
"For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed."
And that's not because she is to be inferior to man, it's only because the word of God was not given to her in the first place to delegate, she had no responsibility of arguing/answering of what God said. The word of God was given to Adam, Eve was not around.
Look it up, I'd really appreciate your response.
Allowing women to be pastors is ultimately why you find yourself needing to disaffiliate.
I'm sure separation won't be enough for the LGBT+ Community. Give it time...
There may be alternatives to GMC , much too.harsh, hurtful.comments of. Some while leaving the UMC in anger.,. Leaving behind hurtful
Words about
many wonderful.proplebon the UMC who do NOT deserve them
By of course reorganization..under the Name The Methodist Church , still..Traditional.
Wow. I think Jesus was woke and broke. That's the whole point.
