It wasn't blitzkrieg, it was called schwerpunkt, meaning spear point, and the Germans first put it into effect in the Franco-Prussian war
@XXXxxx_analniy_verzila_2006xxxXXX The animation was from WW2, where the term "blitzkrieg" originated, but the technique is called schwerpunkt and it's an ancient technique, because the idea isn't that complicated. It's literally just "throw your toughest units at a single point". The Franco-Prussian war was where we first saw the variation of it which the Germans would then use in both world wars

That was the entire point. Hit so hard, so fast, that even the best soldiers turn and run. Even Black Watch or Grenadier Guards would want to leave under such ferocity

They inflicted so much damage on morale that the enemy had no choice but to leave, they are the best of the best.

@@spinosaurusiii7027They had more manpower which is why their assaults were so effective. If you compare the individual German stormtrooper versus their Soviet counterpart i think the German version is far superior.

Sorry for being the gun nerd, but the Kar 98K where first introduced and produced in 1935, true the Stormtroopers where using a Mauser riffle, but it was the Mauser G98. It is the riffle, that would evolve into the Kar 98k. Kar 98k was just overall a better design, and it was faster to cycle the bolt, making a better bolt-action infantry riffle, but also an exceptional sniper for the time. But during WW 1, it was the G98, that for it's time, was also a good riffle. Also the MP 18, the first real and successful SMG, was first introduced in 1918, the first Stormtroopers where more using C96's (one of the first successful semi-auto pistols), Madsen machine guns (first successful LMG, still found in conflict zones to this day), shortened G98's and all kind of hand to hand combat weapons with a lot of hand grenade support and a strategic flammenwerfer. Other than that, you are so fucking good at making these great music videos for Sabaton, keep up the great work.
yep, but in ww1 the only Kar used was the Kar98AZ, basically the Kar98K that would see use in ww2 but with a longer barrel

All of that is facts, but the gewehr 1898 part. They used gewehrs as the standard infantry rifle, but the storm troopers and other special units, used the karabiner as their main rifle, iirc.

This need for specialized, lighting reaction, shock troopers, continues on to this day in modern special operations. I think this will continue until things like super soldiers evolve on the battlefields of today and the future.

The Mauser Carabine 98k was handed out to the Wehrmach in June 1935. The Stoormtroopers used the standard Mauser Gewehr 98.
They used the Karabiner 98 AZ to be precise.
