    Not very often you see velocity stacks add that much power without taking some away from another range in the rpm band. That curve looks incredible for a ´starter´ bike. Awesome stuff.

    These videos are gold. I’m getting the ninja 500 soon and these help me see what I can do to it

      I just got it and wish I would’ve went with a 650 or something bigger big sad

      @@mrrobott9202 Big sad in OEM condition? It's a lightweight bike. Rip some curves. Flog the engine for all it's got. Put on an exhaust system and get a 2WDW tune. The limit is your riding talent and your determination, not the bike.

      @@exothermal.sprocketbig facts. 400s can dust 600 and liter bike riders on the course. I’d imagine the 500 should be in the same boat all things considered

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Yerocco Depends on the track or course. The Ninja500 is barely heavier than the 400 was, and yet it has significantly more power than the 52cc increase would imply.

      @@exothermal.sprocket oh it for sure matters about the track. One with lots of straights…. I don’t see the 500 having fun that day lol

    This is seriously the best content. Down to earth, quick to the point and super informative. You rock dude

    There's an engine builder that's got a "superbike package" for this Ninja 500 (previously they had a lot of experience with the 400) which runs increased compression, head porting, valve seat grinding, cams, and the modifications similar to 2wdw and they are quoting 69-70 hp.
    That would be incredible for this machine, probably not much past 355-360 lb wet. Can't imagine how that would cut up the curves, like a feather.

      a carbon exhaust, fork reflector removal and a tidy tail drop 10 lbs!

    Are you slowly turning the throttle or quickly full throttling it? Either way I was hoping the 500s sounded better than that.

      It’s a 180° twin, they don’t sound the best… this one performs very well though

    I bet with a full exhaust and tail tidy it’s only around 360 lbs wet… 57 whp is also a lot, the Ninja 650 from 2WDW here only made 63 whp with a flash and a full exhaust and it weighs a fair bit more, although it does make a fair bit more torque. Kawasaki’s smaller engine is one wicked performer. I bet in a roll race the Ninja 650 can’t pull on this, especially since a stock Ninja 650 makes the same whp as this Ninja 500…

      52cc, increased 6.8mm stroke, same bore. Compression went down a tiny bit, negligible. Torque and combustion efficiency would really be up.

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No point. It's falling steeply by that time, and even if you shift at redline, you're still well within the meat of max power in the next gear. It's just hard on the con-rods and valve train for no reason. Some motorcycles it makes sense, this one, no.

      It seems that yes, everything is the same in the chassis between the two bikes.
