Late Parent's home is at chai Park,sebarang perai..got relatives staying,near the rainbow Market...so whatever you video,I can fully relate and enjoy.

Happy Blessed New Year CK. Interesting eateries discovered as Butterwoth is just a drive through to Penang or Hatyai. It will be good if they have nice hotels to stay for a day or two. Must remember to bring a heavy wallet for the premium CKT, haha. Good Vlog as usual. Keep it up. Good for locals to discover our own smaller towns.

Hello CK . Firstly I like to wish you a very happy new year and I hope this year will be better than last year and everything works out well . Also I channel my thoughts to all your subscribers as well . Happy new year to each and everyone of you . As for hometowns ? I quite distinctly remember to ask you to cover my hometown in one of your videos and hopefully my wishes will be answered . If not no worries . I'll be coming back home after 4 years and definitely going to chill out and soak up some sunshine . Where I am at the moment the sun doesn't like to make a appearance especially in the winter time . My hometown Menglembu . It's the home of the humble kacang Menglembu . Every packet of kacang you guys get over there in Malaysia has got kacang Menglembu ☺️. Ok I sold my reason but not anticipating . Love your videos . Will be back home on 27/5 this year . Warm Greetings to each and all of you from London

My family and i spent many school holidays with my Dad on the Esso Oil Terminal in Butterworth, a long time back. My Dad would pile us all into the car and take the scary drive from Malacca to Penang on the 2-lane twisting road. No North-South highway then. Sadly our highlights were the Ferry trips to Penang. i don't remember ever venturing out to Butterworth. Will definitely try the mee goreng sotong on my next trip to Penang which will be soon. Happy New Year.

Passed Butterworth en route to perlis on New Year Eve. I tried to find 老家 fried kuay teow. Ended up lost inside some residential area :(

In SG, the better and less overtly or locally accented the English, the wealthier and more educated the person tends to be. The Peranakans who have shed their Chinese language and carry on mostly in English are another example. I wonder, is it the same or similar in Malaysia?

I notice people here in Penang don't use the 'lah' nearly as much as the Singaporeans. Yesterday I noticed myself as I said to a hawker, 'too long lah' after he took his sweet time bringing me the roti bakar telor goyang I had ordered. 😂
