    I'm surprised noone ever pointed out that by teleporting at the corners and placing a block you're actually making the walls half a meter bigger on every corner.
    That's because you're getting the coordinates for the corner, but then you're placing a block that stretches out half a meter in every direction

    • @garaipeter2
      @garaipeter2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      Thats why I select points from the center of an imaginary 1x1 m square at the edges. Mostly counts for buildings touching each other. If a build is alone, it doesnt hurt.

    • @alleghanyonce
      @alleghanyonce 2 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      Well we’re only building down to the meter, so not a big problem, nothing that can be done about that anyways.
      Also, buildings aren’t always perfectly aligned with the Minecraft grid, so a wall could be off anywhere from nothing to a meter.

    Oh this is so annoying. I just recreated a portion of OCNJ and it was impossible to see anything that was behind a tree whatsoever.
    I was able to overcome this somewhat by looking at vacation rental site photos and compiling to see what windows were there.

    Just cover the undetailed parts in plants, but in all seriousness, you can usually find more detailed images of the buildings by searching up their exact address. Weither it be on a house selling site, or somewhere else

    I love this project and hope one day I can help, but that leaves me a little curious as to what will happen with old buildings/versions of the map? Because for instance, I now live in a house, that 2 months ago did not exist, in a neighborhood that 6 months ago, did not exist. An entire neighborhood with 568 families (seperate houses)
    The builders themselves know where things are in their local area, but google maps doesn't get updated constantly, and construction is ALWAYS happening. Simply because I'm curious, has anyone thought about that/made backup plans? 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Easy solution, look up the house address on realty sites. You can see the front, inside, everything. I am building my entire region in Project Zomboid and so far every house in my neighborhood (about 80 so far) are one to one replicas. Minus Zomboid's engine that doesn't allow diagonal walls or basements. Or hills... or any height map at all.......... ugh.............
